ABBA in the beginning was not the main project, but the duo of the musicians Björn and Benny, while the ladies Agnetha and Frida had their solo careers. and they even do background vocals and choirs in some song on their album as a duo in 1970 when the four together record their first song in English "People Need Love" (1972) they achieve a first local success, so they later make another recording "He is your brother" (1972) which will be #1 on the radio in Sweden there they decide to make an album "Ring Ring" and be a fixed quartet I suggest you look for these two earliest and first ABBA songs "People need love" is a TV presentation in Sweden 1972 "He is your brother" is live on tour in Europe and Australia 1977 (five years later) in both songs all four share lead vocals, in different ways the pianist Benny only sang one song "Suzy hang around" (1974) the guitarist Björn sang several more, the main ones that he sang on tour or on TV: Rock Me (1975) Why did it have to be me (1976) share in parts with Frida & Agnetha
That’s such a great overview of ABBA’s early days! It’s fascinating to see how Björn and Benny initially started as a duo while Agnetha and Frida pursued their solo careers. Their collaboration on tracks like "People Need Love" and "He is Your Brother" really laid the groundwork for the iconic quartet we know today. I appreciate your recommendation to explore those early songs-it's amazing to hear how their sound evolved over the years. It’s also interesting how Benny and Björn each contributed their own unique vocals to the mix. Thanks for sharing this insight; ABBA’s journey is truly a testament to their incredible talent and teamwork! ❤️
Glad you are back Vicki. God bless your family. Sending love and best wishes to you both. If you could possibly react to Barbara Streisand and the song "Memory" You will be listening to the greatest female voice of all time and one of the most beautiful songs ever recorded. Thanks again. Another Group to look into is The Beatles.. the greates band ever. I recommend starting with "I want to hold your hand" or "Twist and Shout". so many unforgettable songs. You will love them. Thanks again
I'm so sorry for your loss, Vicky🤗... but we're so happy to have you back again... This song is very good and fun, with Björn on lead vocals... (In the beginning of the band, that was very common). Great video, guys 👌 Please try 'People need love'' take care...see you soon✌️ Love ❤️ from Chile 🇨🇱🤗👍

ABBA in the beginning was not the main project,
but the duo of the musicians Björn and Benny,
while the ladies Agnetha and Frida had their solo careers.
and they even do background vocals and choirs
in some song on their album as a duo in 1970
when the four together record their first song in English
"People Need Love" (1972)
they achieve a first local success,
so they later make another recording
"He is your brother" (1972)
which will be #1 on the radio in Sweden
there they decide to make an album "Ring Ring"
and be a fixed quartet
I suggest you look for these two earliest and first ABBA songs
"People need love" is a TV presentation in Sweden 1972
"He is your brother" is live on tour in Europe and Australia 1977 (five years later)
in both songs all four share lead vocals, in different ways
the pianist Benny only sang one song
"Suzy hang around" (1974)
the guitarist Björn sang several more, the main ones that he sang on tour or on TV:
Rock Me (1975)
Why did it have to be me (1976)
share in parts with Frida & Agnetha

Bjorn is excellent on lead vocals
Absolutely! Björn's vocals add such a unique depth to ABBA's songs.
