As captivating as Anna-Frid and Agnetha are to watch and listen to, please remember it is the GUYS who play all the music AND (most importantly) wrote all their never ending catalog of hits. Do the double react to this Does Your Mother Know Live at Wembley with Hole In Your Soul, the transition is amazing between the two songs and you will see all of them showing the world how great they were as live performers.
That is for sure the truth..unfortunately,it was also something that with time would make them less inclined to go on as it took a toll of them, especially on Agneta, with all the concerts all around the world..
In the movie Mama Mia they swap the lyrics so it’s women singing it to a young man … you should react to watching it.. they even change the tempo a little.🫶🏻🇨🇦🥳
Next ABBA suggestion: Thank You For the Music. Absolutely outstanding vocals, and it's totally unique, even by ABBA standards. It's almost Broadway musical sounding. Check it out, I'm sure you guys will love it!
Yes! Been waiting a long time for this one. It's one of my top faves. My VERY favourite is Summer Night City. It's a little Rocky - a little edgy - with an amazing beat. Just an all round fantastic song. I would also like to put in a request for Thriller for tomorrow night. Would LOVE to hear your thoughts on the video. Even if you've already seen it - it's perfect for Halloween night.
This is miles and miles outside of the box when it comes to what Abba songs are like, but saying that, it is equally as brilliant as the rest of their huge catalogue of hits, it's unbelievable that they shocked the music world, and fans that they could go all rocky with this and yet when its played, everyone instantly recognises that it's Abba and how good it is
Another great song where Björn takes the lead is 'Why did it have to be me?'. Especially their live performance in Australia is very highly considered by the fans. And Frida is having a blast on the stage :)
I love all ABBA songs, but this one is so much fun and it always makes me smile. Hope you react to the movie "Mamma Mia!" starring Meryl Streep, Amanda Seyfried, Pierce Brosnan, Stellan Skarsgard, and Colin Firth. It's a great comedy musical featuring over 20 ABBA songs. The scene where they have this song is hysterical! 😂🤣
Yes! Love this! Love up tempo and upbeat! The girls voices sound so different here, really high. I think there is a synth mirroring them which makes it sound so different and cool.
One of their last. (Well, until recently, anyway.) The extended re-release of The Visitors, the (onetime) final ABBA album, which has that song plus three other late recordings as bonus tracks, remains my favourite album by them...
I was in my mid 20s attending a family room in a park on Mesa, Arizona, when a great aunt put this on to get everyone to dance. It completely startled me, but my grandparents had also mentioned that they had recently heard about ABBA from other friends of theirs. My 85-year-old mother puts on ABBA to give her energy.
Loving your Duran Duran shirt Jay! This was one of the first singles I bought as a kid with my own money. Love, Abba! As always you guys are awesome! I hope your kiddos have a fun and safe Halloween tomorrow 🎃💕✨
Yep. They've got to get to it. One of their underrated songs. Might be a little slow for Jay, but the lyrics are great and it's really one of their best. Do the main music video.
My favourite ABBA song is one which isn't one of their most popular, it's also lead by Bjorn and Benny and it's called "Why Did It Have To Be Me". I would recommend it, it's so fun!
This song is fantastic live, check out the ABBA in concert version! Make sure to follow it with "Hole In Your Soul" from the same performance. Bjorn and Benny swear they didn't have a formula, but they certainly can write great melodies. Then Bjorn writes the lyrics to fit the melody. But sometimes I feel that Bjorn reverts to his teenage fantasies for lyric inspiration. They have a couple other male led songs, "Rock Me", "Why Did It Have To Be Me", "He Is Your Brother". Also, not male led, but check out "On And On And On".
I try to just comment on one song a day now so I'm not bombarding y'all with comments, but I had to comment on 2 today because they're such bangers! I've always loved this song; so glad y'all enjoyed it too! I used to dance to this as a kid when it first came out (9-10) in my room giggling like he was talking right to me. Lol. Fond memories :)
This is what I love about ABBA. You never know what you'll get whether it's ballads, rock, upbeat pop, disco. They proved you don't have to stick to a certain sound, they covered all genres. They only thing you do know you'll get with ABBA is great catchy melodies
I absolutely LOVE ABBA! ❤ Given your reactions on ABBA songs “ Mama Mia!” and “Muriel’s Wedding” are movies you should check out because ABBA’s songs are a featured prominently in both 😊
Yay - my favourite Abba song!!! It so different, especially with Benny and Bjorn on leads, which didn't happen too often. As for the lyrics. I think its a good message. Kids are always sooooo impatient to grow up!
If you like Bjorn's voice and his singing then you should definitely check Two For The Price Of One song of ABBA from 1981. Especially the live video in 4K with his german spoken introduction. This live is not very different from studio version. :) Also the early songs of theirs are nice and funny, like Another Town Another Train, Hasta Manana, Waterloo, Ring Ring and Love Isn't Easy. Eagle (studio verison with solo inside) is also great and Summer Night City.
SO Great!!! Just love the tune overall, and It has So Much Energy & So Much Fun! You Guys Smiled the whole way through! :) Great Choice & Reaction... Fun seeing You Guys smile So Much!
This was the first song by ABBA I had ever heard at the age of 5 or 6. My sisters had a K-Tel vinyl record with various hits in the late 70's. Before I even understood the meaning behind the lyrics, I bopped along to this song on repeat as a kid! Another song from that LP was Bonnie Pointer's "Heaven Must Have Sent You" it's a BANGER!! Keep smiling y'all!!
I've been waiting for you to check this one out. So much fun. My pick for you (if you haven't heard it yet) would be The Visitors -- from their last album, completely different than their pop work. Very dark and mysterious.
I remember hearing The Visitors sometime in the early 90s where it was played pretty regularly at a retro club night we'd go to. I'd never heard it anywhere else and I loved it sooo much. Wasn't until years later that I learned it was ABBA. Mind blown!
The Visitors is easily my favorite ABBA song. Dark subject matter, relentless beat, halfway to New Wave, Frida's vocals metallic but beautiful. Only they could write and perform such a catchy dance tune about Soviet dissidents!
One of Abba's best songs and that's saying something! There are some others with lead vocals by the guys; I suggest "Rock Me." For another song with a real upbeat, more rock-oriented sound, try "Summer Night City."

I suggest you look for these two earliest and first ABBA songs
"People need love" is a TV presentation in Sweden 1972
"He is your brother" is live on tour in Europe and Australia 1977 (five years later)
in both songs all four share lead vocals, in different ways
Benny only sang one song
"Suzy hang around" (1974)
Björn sang several more, the main ones that he sang on tour or on TV:
Rock Me (1975)
Why did it have to be me (1976) share in parts with Frida & Agnetha
If you haven't watched it yet, you really need to react to Mama Mia the film. SO MUCH TALENT!
I'm really surprised you two haven't reacted to ABBA's very first hit Waterloo. Came out in 1974. This put ABBA in the international spotlight.
Knowing how you love ABBA, I can't believe you've never done "Andante, Andante," probably one of the most sensuous songs ever recorded.
I would love to see u guys react to mama mia movie or the clip of this song from it, it’s amazing so well done truly a love letter to abba
In the movie Mama Mia they swap the lyrics so it’s women singing it to a young man … you should react to watching it.. they even change the tempo a little.🫶🏻🇨🇦🥳
Muriel's Wedding the better movie. Featured ABBA music.
@@blackblake3658 I love both Momma Mia movies but I would love to know how “Donna Died “ (in the second movie )
Really enjoyed your reaction. So glad yall did this it's my favorite by ABBA. Thanks yall.
Next ABBA suggestion: Thank You For the Music. Absolutely outstanding vocals, and it's totally unique, even by ABBA standards. It's almost Broadway musical sounding. Check it out, I'm sure you guys will love it!
“Rock Me” is another rocking song sung by Bjorn.
Only US Top 40 hit they had with a male lead vocal. One of my favorites.
That tells more about the american music industry then of ABBA ...
@@krisa990 certainly. If a formula is working the people “in the know” aren’t likely to veer from it.
@@krisa990 What does that mean?
ABBA's "Slipping Through my Fingers "...😢❤
Try “If It wasn’t for the Nights.” It’s got a nice chunky disco rhythm. “One of Us “ is another good one.
One of my favs too ❤
I love all ABBA songs, but this one is so much fun and it always makes me smile.
Dancing Queen is next! really shocked that hasn't been heard yet
They did that one 2 years ago
The Day Before You Came is my favourite ABBA song of all time. NOTHING else sounds like it. EVER!!! :)
One of their last. (Well, until recently, anyway.) The extended re-release of The Visitors, the (onetime) final ABBA album, which has that song plus three other late recordings as bonus tracks, remains my favourite album by them...
Definitely!
Hey guys, your next ABBA song should be Slipping Through My Fingers. It'll make you want to hug your kids a little longer each day. Enjoy :)
Loving your Duran Duran shirt Jay! This was one of the first singles I bought as a kid with my own money. Love, Abba! As always you guys are awesome!
I hope your kiddos have a fun and safe Halloween tomorrow 🎃💕✨
Yeah love that DD t shirt too lol.
You can’t feel anything but happy listening to this.
One of my favourite ABBA songs!
Melody, back up-singers making those harmonies....pure magic!
Are there ANY bad Abba songs??? No, none!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Nice reaction! My favorite song by them. TH-cam has a live version of this from 1977, it's awesome!
Never knew ABBA had so many hits - they are all bangers !!! I'm on 19 but love them
Abba's best song is "The Name Of The Game" and the video is amazing!!! That should be next. You're dancing around it. 😉
Yep. They've got to get to it. One of their underrated songs. Might be a little slow for Jay, but the lyrics are great and it's really one of their best. Do the main music video.
That and "Eagle". Both underrated.
Yep... "The Name of the Game" is still my favorite ABBA song, with "Dancing Queen" being a very, very, very close second!
I’m a rocker at heart, but this is one of my favorite songs as a kid. The chorus hooks you…….
would love to see you do the movie (( Mamma Mia! )) first one ,,all Abba songs
My favourite ABBA song is one which isn't one of their most popular, it's also lead by Bjorn and Benny and it's called "Why Did It Have To Be Me". I would recommend it, it's so fun!
Great reactaction as always. Love you guys. Still looking out for Abba's 'When I kissed the teacher' hope to see it soon. Keep up the awesomeness. ❤
My favorite group. Play them as often as you like 😊
This song is fantastic live, check out the ABBA in concert version!
It’s the Abba princip ,. Don’t copy yourself if you had a Hit otherwise you will be forgotten, well done ABBA
Have you done Waterloo yet? That was the song that brought ABBA to the world's attention, when they won the Eurovision Song Contest in 1974.
Need to do Muriel's Wedding movie reaction.
@@blackblake3658 Heck YEAH!!!!
I absolutely LOVE ABBA! ❤ Given your reactions on ABBA songs “ Mama Mia!” and “Muriel’s Wedding” are movies you should check out because ABBA’s songs are a featured prominently in both 😊
Yesssss!
Got to listen to "eagle"
They are not back up singers, they’re part of the group!!’
Dancing Queen was their biggest hit. It was number 1 all over the world. Got to get to it soon.
Still waiting for Waterloo! I know, you’re saving the best for last…. 😆
SO Great!!! Just love the tune overall, and It has So Much Energy & So Much Fun! You Guys Smiled the whole way through! :) Great Choice & Reaction... Fun seeing You Guys smile So Much!
Björn is the lead vocal on this song. He's also the group's main lyricist, while Benny writes most of the music. Together they make magic.
Benny and Björn were both in different pop/rock bands during the 1960s and I feel like this song hints at that time.
My favorite Abba song!
I can’t wait for yall to watch Mamma Mia! And the sequel Mamma Mia! Here we go again! They are musicals with all the songs by ABBA ❤🎉
Great suggestions!
A band from here in Northern Ireland (Ash) did a great cover version of this.
ABBA is a genius group.
Keep up the great work you two. ❤
