Hey Ashley I've been watching a lot of your videos and I love what you cover. If you can remember the settings on your glowforge for the engraving I'd appreciate if you could share with a fellow glowforge user. Keep up the good work thanks a bunch.
Hi Ashlee, I know this might be a dumb question, but on the last step of making the pencil jig, you select all and right click to pick the "lock selected objects". When I select all and right click, it doesn't give me that option. I was wondering if I can find it somewhere else on inscape? Also, I'm using windows vs mac.
I've had my Glowforge for over two years and still can't make a jig right. 😢😢 Do you make a note of where you placed the material in the glowforge?? How do you know where to put the material the next time? you
@@NaturalBronzeQTee because I use a full proof grade sheet of material, I don't have to remember where I put it. The proof grade material sits perfectly in the honeycomb tray every time.

I no longer have my glowforge settings saved, but I'm pretty certain i just used the maple plywood engrave settings.
I have been learning so much from you, you are much appreciated for making these videos 😊
yay! I'm so glad to hear this!!!
So once you remove the jig, how do you realign it to use it again??
Put it in the same exact spot you had it before. Remembering placement is key
Awesome video 👍🏻
thank yoU!

Hi! Go to the very top and press: layer, then lock/unlock current layer
Glowforge software is so easy. I wish Lightburn was.
I've had a little look into light burn and holy cow was it complicated 😬
@ashleefalco I think if you use Abobe or Inskape, it's really not that far off and not too complicated.
new to using inkscape and cant seem to find align
if you go to the very top of your toolbar and click object, at the very bottom you should see a button that says "align and distribute"
do you have a video on how to download Inkscape?
I don’t, sorry.
@@ashleefalco thank you
