The 73rd Members' Meeting was a particularly special event for McLaren, as not only was our founder honoured with the inaugural Bruce McLaren Trophy for Can-Am sports cars, but the event also featured the largest ever gathering of McLaren F1 GTRs.
A modern day representative of McLaren track cars was present in the form of the McLaren P1™ GTR.

I noticed that some of the cars that ran in the BPR series in the late 90's Had massive rear wings compared to the Le man's entrants. Was that for less drag on mulsane? The no. 59 ran a small rear wing at Le mans aswell

The gulf McLaren has a video on TH-cam by ammo detailing. 4 dudes detailed it for 138hours for a show comp and won best car. So glad to actually see it being tracked.
i think there are 2 davidoff's gtr lt, 1 resides in europe and the other one with no davidoff decals resides in US

An outstanding engineering from Mclaren and a superb engine from BMW.
Motoring magnificence. I doubt there will ever be a car developed today that will etch such a mark on the auto industry. The McLaren wasn't just a smidge faster, a touch more sophisticated, and little bit better looking. It eclipsed its contemporary competitors and vaulted the McLaren name to the top of the automotive industry...the machine is legendary.
Thanks, and yes.... As a Kiwi, it's impossible not to be sheepishly proud of how McLaren has honored Bruce's name. As for the car, it provokes so many adjectives, and yet sometimes leaves you simply saying, ughah.... My dream is simply to see one, my fantasy is to maybe just ride in one...I'd be too overawed to get behind the wheel.
Its a road car and an expensive one. But not all expensive road car can do 24 hours race. --- yes sir, you are right. This what makes mclaren f1 so special.

The F1 GTR looks nice, but F1 GTR LongTail is a great supercar. McLaren F1 GTR is one of the best cars in the world.

May we humbly ask for you to post the hours of raw footage which made up this highly (and excellently) edited montage? I would watch all of it. These are the pinnacle of motorsport in terms of non formula cars, cars that are derived from road cars.

I would say probably one of the most expensive races ever to take place in Goodwood... But who am I kidding, Goodwood hosts tons of fantastic classic car races that this probably ain't even top 5 most expensive.
Still nontheless this such an iconic way to unleash all these beasts at once, incredible to see all the same drivers as well!

Amazing cars, the best and most beautiful, street or race. I saw the Davidoff car at McLaren San Francisco before it was sold at auction, even better in the flesh.

@@zakoblivioa S70/2 to be precise. the S70 was singe overhead cam and 5.5L as used in the 850csi,
the S70/2 was similar in block design, but everything else was different. bore, stroke, crank, heads, cams, pistons, rods, intake system etc.

if i had to buy one of these F1 GTR's which would be fine by me (if i had that much money) id have to get the Gulf livery GTR Longtail simply because the Gulf livery has been burned into my memories since i was a kid playing the early gran turismo games (i think 3 was the first to have the Gulf GT40) and just falling in love with the GT40 which i lacked the skill to even get.
For me its the FINA livery longtail. Has been my favorite car ever since first racing it on the first Forza Motorsport for the original Xbox. Probably one of the most beautiful cars ever imo.

hello McLaren , i will be straight , my dream since i was 7 was to see an real f1 gtr or atleast f1 , beeing in the passenger seat is out of discusion , but anyway if by any chance do i get to uk can u promise me a tour of the company , i know money is not a prob to you but i would pay 2-3 grand just to sit in one for like 10 min on the racetrack

Just don't race these POS's against 45 year old Can Am cars with Big Block Chevy power. They will get their asses kicked! Don't believe me? Check out some other videos that show these two type of cars racing each other.

To me the f1 is the only real mclaren . I dont like any of the new age mclarens at all
It has aged incredibly well. I don't dislike the new ones but the F1 (and its variations) just can't be compared to.
