exactly! dr crockett is also a doctor, he has the right , authority AND knowladge to make decisions when he is the senior authority in an emergency situation on scene.

I love how she thought that meant they had the right to dictate what the DOCTOR did, your brother's the doctor, not you. If your brother felt differently in the situation, if he was in it, he'd have done so, but what one doctor does doesn't dictate how other doctors do things

They don't have a right to dictate how emergency services conducts an extraction.
Also, there have been multiple instances in which patients that have been impaled or entangled together in an accident are extracted and transported together. In reality they would NEVER disentangle them (or extract the rebar) in the ED. The patients would be moved to a single OR with another adjoining OR on standby for when they are separated. There would be two separate surgical teams, and the children would be anesthetized before they even attempt removal.

The boy's parents angered me. They didn't even care that the girl would die. I understand they were scared but no parents would be like "You should've let the other kid die because that would be better for my kid". At least none normal parents would be like that.
I like how Crockett talked to them and stood his point. He saved both of the kids, he did everything right, no people who think they now better because they know a nurse should tell the doctor what to do.

I feel like the writers just treat Manning as a character to create conflict. In one episode she's arguing and fighting to save everyone, especially kids, and in this one she's basically arguing to sacrifice the sister to make sure they could rescue the brother. It totally doesn't feel like the same character to me.

Am I the only one getting pissed off at Dr.Manning like he was making all the hard decisions while she just followed, complained and made him feel terrible the entire time and then when he’s emotionally crushed and wants to do it safe she’s like NO take the risk and do better. Your body goes in shock in traumatic events. When I fell down a roof, and got the whole roof collapsing ontop of me, everything hurt but I didn't even thought of yelling for help. The only thing I did was with my last strength move my left arm because the only thing that I could see was my arm rotating in the other direction. I Didn't even see bones sticking out or blood everywhere, I just blacked out. Next thing I remember is hearing my dad calling my name in absolute fear and I could see him in the corner of my eye, standing there mortified, and completly frozen. He couldn't move. He was in complete shock. And yes, I was in very bad shape. About 5 minutes later I wake up cause my mum goes all she-hulk on all the debris (there was allot, a whole roof collapsed on top of me), trying to keep me awake. In the corner of my eye, I still see dad standing completely still and looking at me like I was dying. Apparently he went inside the house, acting strange, and when mum asked what was wrong he just walked out mumbling 'help' and she followed him and that's how she found me. This happened in 2015, I was 21 years old. We are 7 years later and I still have pain and issues because of it. On another note; I also have CPTSD because of abuse I endured from my first boyfriend, and when anyone just says a trigger word or does something like holding their hands above me, I go in complete shock. And when my aunt died, who was a second mother to me and basically raised me, I was so in shock I couldn't cry for THREE YEARS. I was LAUGHING at her funeral!! I still hate myself because of that. That's how messed up your body is. It does really strange things in certain situations.

Especially when the pole was removed from his neck and all he said was that it hurt. He'd been in tremendous pain (regardless of shock) he should either be in screaming and agonising pain or unconscious. It seemed a little to lax tbh at that part.

The scene is not kind of believable to me. They say that the rebars impaled the children, but how can that happen when the glasses of the bus are not even broken? It just feels like stupidness to me. And the other thing is that when the rebars are being cut off the kid will feel the vibrations in his body and that's an excruciating pain. The kid didn't even have that much pain here.

They already said they couldnt separate them, and the chick is bleeding out. She seem to just looove to complain and never offer better options. My god... annoy the hell outta me. At least theyre "free" and on the way to the hospital. Be happy about that

7:04 I’m sorry, but I hate these parents separating them would not have been a danger to their son, but it would’ve been a danger to the little girl who their son clearly cares about is probably friends with, but they have the whole mentality of my child Comes before anything else in the The world now look I understand they’re worried about their son, but they should also be worried about the other girl who was trapped with him I know for a fact that if me and my friend were in a situation like this when we were kids, my dad would show up at the hospital and ask about me first and then ask about my friend. Yes you normally don’t move people together unless there is a significant risk to one of the lives if they are separated. Literally it was the only way to do it, and it was safer for the boy to be removed at the hospital, because sure enough that rebar was puncturing his jugular vein. Also, it was safer for the girl to be removed at the hospital. And yes, there wasn’t enough room to cut in between them so they had to make a calculated risk. I know for a fact, my parents would be a little bit worried scratch that a lot worried but they would not be screaming at the doctor. You should’ve let the daughter here will you should’ve save my son and let the girl die like my parents would never do that. My parents would be worried about both kids. Of course they’d be a little bit more worried about me, but they would never expect somebody to just let another kid die to save me again that’s the whole mentality of my child comes before anyone or anything else and I don’t like parents who think that way it’s OK to think that your child is your world permit situation like this both lives are at stake both lives are equally as young both lives deserve a chance they shouldn’t be this bitchy about the little girl, almost dying when what they did ended up being safer for their son anyway. If they remove that rebar in the field or cut it in the field close to his neck to cut in between the two of them, it probably would’ve shifted and caused major bleeding. What they did seems to be the right call for the situation.
