her father is dumb, seeking a restraining order against a rich teenager (news flash! OBVIOUSLY impossible to get) instead of changing schools😂 he set her up, maybe if he was a better father he would've transfer his kids and give Agnes a gym membership and a better health insurance☺️.
edit: this may seem harsh but bare with me, imagine you have health issues, people are bullying you and instead of changing schools your father starts a legal battle with a rich family for something that its quite impossible to get when minors are involved under normal circumstances even more if the defendant is rich and the accuser poor. He failed her. He cant change his income, he can for sure change the kids school (in Ny for God sake there must be so many schools)

So the male cheerleader (Ty, @ 14:48) not only admitted to hazing Cedric - which according to state law in NY, can be classified as either a misdemeanor or a violation, depending on the degree - he also admitted to sexually assaulting him... why in the Hell didn't they cuff him there?!
For a Special Victims Unit, this felt like a huge mistake.

Because nowadays gays are a protected class. Gays trying to turn straight people gay is a kink for them, and you can’t discriminate against kinks in the modern day! Seriously though, they think that because he enjoyed the “service” even if it was from a guy that he shouldn’t consider it an assault. But like you say, it should be, because it fucked with him mentally even if he wasn’t physically harmed. And obviously he didn’t give his consent to the guy

The show got real bad in later seasons. Plenty of actual criminal activity would be "forgiven" because the person was gay, or trans, or a person of color. I still remember the episode where a kid beating up his mom was totally ignored because the kid was trans and "having a tough time."

If I remember correctly the other football players pushed him to do it. He may have made that choice himself and I'm not condoning it, but it was either bully or be bullied.
Remember, they only did that to Cedric because they wanted to punish him for not being a part of THEIR team, and it wasn't just Ty that SVU wanted to take down, it was that entire team and the coaches who used the hazing and SA as punishments.

Emily's death, and her three friends downfall is so ironically poetic. Their reign of terror started with betraying Agnes by humiliating her in front of a boy she liked. Then it ended with the three betraying, and killing Emily because she was talking to a boy one of them liked.

He threw a tantrum when Liv, a product of r4pe and a target of abuse from a mother, rightfully called out her daughter for treating pregnancy like a game, publicly berated the police when they just found out about Dizzer's age, then had the gall to lead a witch hunt on Peggy Bernardi for cyberbullying when he didn't stop to think his spoiling of Fidelia was what led to the pregnancy pact. For the Gridiron Soldier one, I’m on the defendants side. It doesn’t matter if your gay or straight, if you hit on someone and they tell you to stop, you stop. Too many LGBT folks think that sexual harassment and assault laws don’t apply to them, and try to spin it when they get rejected. Ty deserves to be severely punished. Funny thing is that they do apply and when LGBT folks do get prison time, 90% are in for sexual and violent crimes. And worse, the Sargent was willing to let go what happened to him because the offender is gay. I lost all respect for her character for that. She deserves to rot in prison for this and the routine violations of law she does every day. If I were the defense attorney I’d charge Stabler with discrimination and malicious prosecution. She’s willing to charge a straight man but won’t charge a gay man.

    • @otaviofrn_adv
      @otaviofrn_adv 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

it is the criticism of L&O SVU for many, even to the point of calling it the Olivia Benson Show.
And it wasn't the only time either.
There was an episode that had a gay man that taught music to kids and he was acused of sexually abusing one. Amanda (the blonde detective) also said for everyone to hold their horses and not accuse him of being a molester based on the fact that he was gay and one of his students was abused.
He also coached singers at a talent show (akin to The Voice) and two teen girls that weren't good enough set him up after he told them that they weren't good enough.
      Season 15, episode 7 - Dissonant Voices

Lol she deserves to rot in prison? When a woman does not defend a man, people are vicious with a tone of misogyny, but they are never as vicious when a woman is failed Only the man is important.

@elderliddle2733 look, the vocal teacher was a huge mistake, but that cheerleader in Gridiron Soldier was also coerced into the act. He made the choice, but it was the footballers who pushed him into it. He did ended up getting charged, but he and the cheerleaders may have gotten a lighter sentence. Besides the real guilty party was that football team and the coaches, especially since they wanted to punish Cedric for choosing another team by hazing and SA'ing him - Olivia wanted to get them all, not just the cheerleaders.

@campfire_cat what makes it worse is that the cheerleader was coerced into it by the football team. Sure, he could've said no - but they backed him into a corner until he had no choice. And besides, Cedric was only assaulted because the team and the coach were butthurt he chose another team's offer instead of them and thought r4ping would be an acceptable punishment. The male cheerleader and his entire squad were charged but got light sentences most likely because they were coerced into the act by a bunch of vengeful little boys who can't take no for an answer.

I myself wasn't bullied in high school, even though there was plenty cause to be (I was goth and pretty cringe, but pretty sociable and outgoing) but I was friends with all of the cliques, even the jocks to some extent and I've seen what happens when people, especially teens, get pushed too far.
