Loc Update: Year 3 | Combing out my locs, hair dye, loc extensions?!

Whewww! It's been a long time coming. We made it to 3 years loc'd and... I don't know how to feel. Should I stick it out for the long haul?

Your hair has grown so much! I am on my second set of loc extensions so I say do it! I decided to start my locs with loc extensions in 2020. No regrets. I got a second set in February and those were added to my natural locs. I knew I didn’t want to have to wait for length. A Class Locs in Smyrna, GA installed my first set and Crowned Royal salon in Alexandria, VA did my second set.

I am interested in loc extensions as well. I have been looking around for quite a while and have decided on HerMuse in Atlanta. She does not do uniform premade locs. She makes them on your hair as she goes to match the density that each section of hair needs. I like that she does loose ends that loc on their own naturally. But I think she can do locked ends if that is what you prefer.

Have you considered adding the loc extensions to the length of your locs instead of starting over?

If I do get them, that's exactly what I would do. I wouldn't be starting over at allll! Just extending mine.
