Quick note...not to spoil things, but that image at 7:13 that you folks were so taken with is not a picture of a US fleet. It is a picture of a multinational naval exercise that is held every other year...on even numbered years...in the Pacific. The exercise is called RIMPAC...short for Rim of the Pacific...and it is most definitely a US led operation, but it involves 20 or more countries participation...the 2022 RIMPAC had 26 participating nations, I believe. That is definitely a US nuclear powered super carrier in the lead, and there will be at least 10 or more other US ships in the group behind the carrier, but there are also ships from Canada, Australia, Japan, South Korea, the Philippines, Singapore, New Zealand and a bunch of others in the picture as well...at least those are just some of the nations that regularly participate. In fact, in the past the US has even allowed ships to participate from China's PLAN a couple of times.

Love our British friends that visit us. One is a former SBS sniper that works for the UN and he is as smart a unit as you could imagine. He’s also 68yo.
I worked on the B2 bomber during test flight in the mid 90s. It’s ugly on the ground but oh my goodness is it impressive in the air. Years ago when I was active duty, I got to lay in the boom of the KC 135 while it refueled F 16’s in South Korea. It’s was incredible.
Yeah we are happy to be allies. Sure we had to fight for independence but time sure healed that. Bless you and your family and I am looking forward to seeing that baby.
As an American and an Anglophile, I love Great Britain and am glad we are close and have each other’s backs :) I would gladly fight for Britain though I am not English but I see them as beloved family members :)
Unclassified airplane tracking (so the Russians could see) there were two B-52 circling over Warsaw the night after the Russian invasion of Ukraine. One was marked for carrying conventional cruise missiles, the other was carrying nuclear ones. 20 per aircraft.
I worked for Northrop when the B2 was being realized and have a pin from its first flight!! Very cool aircraft and you can see it usually at the start of the New Years Parade, when it does a fly over. Also, our local police department uses drones now.
That photo is used because the fleet doesn’t operate that close. Typically each ship may be miles from the nearest ship. This distance allows a large defensive perimeter for the carrier and dramatically reduces the risk that multiple ships can be compromised by something like a nuclear strike.
How’s Millie? Love her Mum being in the videos, I live in Louisville, Kentucky so every year we have a 3 week celebration for the Derby and one of the weekends we have what’s called Thunder Over Louisville which is a massive fireworks show but before that we have an air show and when the Stealth Bombers fly over it has such a huge rumbling boom sound you can feel it on the ground and up your body, it’s like nothing I’ve ever experienced before I think Sallie would love it and you all as well, maybe on your next trip to America you could schedule a visit for Thunder weekend, the closer to Derby the higher the prices on Hotels and Derby week no rooms are available they were all booked a year in advance, but Thunder is 3 weeks before the Derby, there are still thousands of people but most will not stay in town so rooms are available. I think you would love it.
My only complaint with this video, is that it focuses only on technology. It totally disregards the most vital component of the US military. Our men and women in uniform.
Awesome Video! Thanks! These videos get me every time! 😂😢😂 Wow! America is Great! Love my Country and our Military services, the Men & Women serving!! Thank you for all you do! Much ❤❤❤!!!
I find mum's response perplexing about the nuclear threat. Born in 1980 and growing up in the USA I have always worried and heard about our possible nuclear destruction. There were many fictional movies about it or with nuclear holocost as an underlying theme. Even after the fall of the Soviet Union the fear was the former Soviet weapons falling into the wrong hands.
7:14 Just FYI, they tend to show this picture a lot when talking about America's Navy capabilities. However it's a bit misleading. Because the picture you see is not just American Naval ships. The picture is part of a joint Naval exercise that America and many of its allies, take part in, annually or once every few years. This includes the British Royal Navy and many others. The picture is all of them together. They take part in training exercises, and war games, type stuff.

One weapon not mentioned are Tomahawk cruise missiles. These missiles can be launched from surface ships and submarines. The TLAM-C is a convensional missile. The TLAM-D is a missile that dispenses cluster bombs to be dropped on troops. The Tomahawk Anti-Ship Missile (TASM) is designed to go low near a ship and smash into a hull at the water line. There were nuclear versions but they have been decommissioned.
You are correct the F-22 can sneak up on its enemy without them knowing. There was a recent incident were 2 F-22s flew up to a pair of Iranian F-4s that were following an American drone. The pilots flew up under the F-4s to check what ordinance they were carrying and the F-4 pilots had no idea they were under the planes until they came up beside them. The F-22s then radioed them politely saying “ You should probably go home now.” The pilots immediately turned their planes around and ran for their lives. 😂
The engineering to convert the theoretical aspect of radar-absorbing non-reflective materials (which was actually ithe work of a Russian physicist who defected to the US) was done by British engineers and physicists working at Groom Lake. In appreciation, the RAF was offered the F117 but declined.
What Napoleon once said was both true and wise. Amateur warriors discuss tactics, while professionals discuss logistics. A carrier group can operate the ships for years on the reactors, but are limited by the intake of food and fuel to support the crew and aircraft. The same applies to the submarines. The reactor can go for years in a SeaWolf class, but the crew can operate for only about a single 4-6 month deployment before running out of food. Also, a carrier group is also comprised of at least two destroyers and/or frigates plus one or more attack subs. The supporting surface combatants are still diesel-fueled only.
I live in Great Falls, MT where we have Malmstrom Air Force Base and where there are numerous Minute Man Missile silos. It was real disturbing when Biden allowed the Chinese balloon to float over our state.

The National Museum of the USAF in Ohio is amazing to see. It is the oldest and largest aviation museum in the world. My father in law fought in WW2 as a Captain of the 6th armored with Patton. He liberated Buchenwald, was in Normandy on D day. They were an amazing group of men.
One thing not mentioned is that the US doesn't just have the largest Air Force in the world, they have the 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 7th with each military branch taking one of those spots. We also have the largest and 2nd largest navy with our museum fleet
Thank you for being honest enough to say you don't know a huge amount about our country. People around the world always want to bash us when they actually don't understand us. FWIW, the technology in the video you showed is actually old. Some of the platforms, such as the newest aircraft carriers, are already in active service.
Well, when you come to America, go to Arizona and you can fly in a military jet. It does cost money. It’s a company that buys the military jets and refurbish them for cuisine, and take civilians up for a flight
Nimitz class carriers are obsolete in the US Navy...They are being replaced by the Gerald R. Ford class carriers...with 4 Ford class already in service (plus the 11 Nimitz class) The US has 15 active Super Carriers in service. Each has more air superiority capability air craft, than most countries entire flight capability.

There are some films that have the joint exercises depicted in them.
You cannot invade the mainland United States.

- Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto
Well, the illegals are invading, sad to say.
I love your comment about our countries being brothers, I grew up always feeling that way as well. 🇺🇸🇬🇧💜
I'm a proud American that appreciates our relationship with you, like family.
From us Americans I can proudly say we couldn't have made it to where we are without you Brits
visited UK many times. loved it. history, hospitality, culture and great people. you are our roots, inspiring our most critical fundamentals. Rock on, Land of hope and glory! Still miss the Queen.
Much love and respect from the United States of America as well
As a retired Soldier I appreciate our British cousins !!! Greetings family!
My dad was one of the materials Engineers that developed the radar resistant paint for the B-2 bomber. He would bring home paint samples for us kids to whack around and see if we could get to peel off. And because of our "work", many paints were rejected. It was fun to be part of top secret department of defense work as a 6 year old.
19:02 Mark! 6.1K Thumbs Up + Mine! 👍 You're welcome, and thanks! 😊
Notes: A nice twist or change of pace to bring in your mother-in-law to view what you've viewed before and it gives us an excuse to see the same video too! 😎
Watching these videos as an American is great. It's always nice to hear that Brits are happy we're friends or cousins. Cuz if we all remember or at least the Americans. We aren't friends at first actually enemies to become our own country. So it's nice that now we are friends
in the 80s we were using tubes for wood console tvs..while fiber optics were being installed
Yep. Good for both that we're mates. 🇬🇧 🇺🇸
There was more than one of us but I definitely suggested this one. Glad Momma Millie got to see it too.
And Im glad were friends with Britain.
I love this channel ❤ I do have an extremely hard time understanding James most of the time😮
It’s because he’s speaking Jersey. I use my captions and set it to South Jersey.
👍🙂❤️
I'm a bit older than Mom. We got to see this Public Service Announcement when we got our first TV. They had it on 16 mm film and I got to see it on the projector screen at school. Yes, old. Look up this title. (about 1 min) ["Duck And Cover" - original TV advert]
This was by 2017.. 6 Years ago.
A Lot of Progress and Advances since then..
What We Truly have is Probably Decades Beyond whatever We Allow the world to know We have...
Thanks guys really enjoyed
Thanks for your presentation. I'm learning a lot from you all about my own country and our capabilities. Good Show.
Hi there, avid watcher here! Texan btw just a tid bit of info..Sept 11th 2001 they flew president to Barksdale afb which houses everything you see,ive been right next to that triangular shaped Stealth fighter and ive felt, seen, heard, embodied the sonic boom that the stealth leaves behind after 45 seconds after passing you. It's intense!!!my favorite of all fighter jets other than the blue angels
I really enjoy hearing you discuss the videos. Your Mom is great!
Yayyy!! More Sally! More Sally!! Not just because Millie needs to rest but Sally is cool! I’d love to hang out with her!
love the videos please do more military videos with MUM!!!
You guys aren't our allies or friends, we're brothers! 😁
I worked for Northrop when the B2 was being realized and have a pin from its first flight!! Very cool aircraft and you can see it usually at the start of the New Years Parade, when it does a fly over. Also, our local police department uses drones now.
Fascinating! Well done!
That photo is used because the fleet doesn’t operate that close. Typically each ship may be miles from the nearest ship. This distance allows a large defensive perimeter for the carrier and dramatically reduces the risk that multiple ships can be compromised by something like a nuclear strike.
Awesome video! Nice reactions!☺😊👍
Hello to Millie’s mom, soon to be Baby Beasley’s grandmother!❤️
I really enjoy watching British Mum (Millie's mum) and her reactions ☺👍 I hope she never stops. She's so cool!
James you said you thought of us (US) as cousins. I like that! 😀
The secret code to launch the USA nukes during the height of the Cold War with the USSR was OOOOOOOO.
Much ❤❤❤!!!
Agreed and craziness going on over the pond over there hope you figure it out and tighten your ship as I hope we can also
I find mum's response perplexing about the nuclear threat. Born in 1980 and growing up in the USA I have always worried and heard about our possible nuclear destruction. There were many fictional movies about it or with nuclear holocost as an underlying theme. Even after the fall of the Soviet Union the fear was the former Soviet weapons falling into the wrong hands.
There’s a song with the words you ain’t seen nothing yet
The families at the top playing with toys and bottle rockets. Haha
We love you guys and your silly accents! Love from the US.
Beautiful accents. Love them!:)
They take part in training exercises, and war games, type stuff.
you forgot number 6,,,,,,We have the Brave Brits behind us
Great big hello from the bluegrass state of Kentucky, USA
Hey guys, I hope Millie is OK! Yes, please don’t mess with the US military and don’t worry we will always take care of you guys and our friends n Canada 🇨🇦 Australia 🇦🇺 n New Zealand 🇳🇿 too. Stay safe. 🇺🇸
Don't forget our good neighbors to the north, Canada! They gave us hockey, and I will always love them for that. ❤ 🏒
What?
@@TheRapnepsweetie you should know that and we would of course defend Canada and I think Mexico but we are partners n part of NATO. So Of course we’re on the same team! We need to take out Putin which should be our number one priority.
@@carnivorepolice5-0 Guess you don't like hockey. 🙄
@karenthompson8038 that's our number one priority fuck no.
I was a child of the 70s myself and when I was a kid and even a teenager I remember seeing fallout shelter signs everywhere
I haven't seen one of those in years
The pacific theatre of WW2 was mainly won through the aircraft from aircraft carriers
95 million Americans own guns. Thats one helluva militia.
The Blue Angels and Thunderbird's could take you for a ride.
Don't even think about attacking us MA Beasley
James, that big pic at 7:24 is the exercise RIMPAC, involving I think 5-10+ nations from around the Pacific, & perhaps even more- like the UK. So that one picture is NOT just all the US Navy!! LOL.
Air craft carrier's are basically floating cities. I encourage you to take a tour of one of the retired carrier's if your ever in the USA. They are super cool.
I grew up in Tucson, AZ. during the 60's and 70's. Due to our strategic value with the airplane boneyard, there were 18 Titan II ICBM bases surrounding the city. In other words, to protect us, the government made us even more of a target. 🤣
Back at cha, Americans love The British.!❤
2:00 it is Eerie how Millie's mother and I agree when it comes to Flying commercial versus things like that. At least in a fighter jet you have an ejection seat.
Well, the Revolution and the War of 1812 sucked for us both.
But since then, we've been BFF's.
Hopefully forever.
Congratulations Grandma! 🫶😁
You have to get her to react to the best American speeches. It'd be interesting to know her life experience living through some of those event
The Gerald R Ford class is currently deployed off the coast of Gaza. They are insane ships.
4:25 hard to find yet there's a screenshot out there from google earth of it being spotted 😅
There were also incursions during the previous administration, so please give that a rest. Also, having been a missile tech there, seriously what can a Ballon see from that height that a satellites see every day
@@daveray44 there is a difference between being briefly over the country, and not knowing about it until after the fact...and knowingly allowing it for days.

We love y’all out here
Well, when you come to America, go to Arizona and you can fly in a military jet.
And there's 11 carriers lol could you imagine, each carrier holds a out 12k to 15k crew along side the planes who are assigned to naval bases not part of the the ships crew.
FYI, all Drones, are controlled from a facility in the middle of the Nevada desert.
The Ford class carriers take 7 to 9 years from what I read to be built each one
