    Hi great magnum tutorial. Your technique is quite advance so which one did you use, M1 or M2? Also I think the voltage is too high I wouldnt usually go higher than a 9 or a 10.

    Ok so maybe a dumb question but while your shading a solid black like in tribal tattoos do you hold the machine so the needles are vertical or horizontal or both??? To get solid black shading. Sorry I'm new. 😬

    How do you get rid of those needle grouping lines. The mag always seems to leave needle grouping lines?

    I know this is a bit of an older video, but my mentor is saying I need to really speed up because it's taking me a while to do simple tattoos. so what are some ways to speed my work up without sacrificing quality?

      Trace plenty of flash, get that steady hand in. Dont let anybody hurry you though work at your pace. And just stay focused simple tattoos are really simple to do you will find that out ur self

    When. ur going for a very light soft shade how fast do u run ur machine, ,,opposed to packing in solid color do u run the power unit slow on packing in solid color and fast with light soft shading, ,.I usually do a back and forth light motion when doing soft shading but sometimes I notice these lines that are opposite from the direction im moving or dots that are darker then the shade I'm trying to do, ,,how do i avoid that. ..seems like the skin itself has like lines in it that always look darker

    do you use the same cross hatching method when using a mag to shade portraits, like the cheeks and nose areas?

      Miele yes mate I will. I would be super careful crosshatching around those areas though as they are very small.. I would probably just use a liner needle to do those areas then do a couple layers of soft mag shading to smooth it out

    Do you measure your needle depth or do you eyeball it

      Most people eyeball. Over time it's like second nature. I nvr measured personally. Always eyeball. I'm sure some people out there measure tho.

    Does the size of the mag make a difference to how difficult it is to shade with? I mean is it easier with larger mags as opposed to small sizes

      Yes, it’s easier to achieve a softer blend with a bigger mag as long as its curved

    Hello I had a general question. I just got a tattoo and it has very big green and red elements elaborately shaded. Is it possible to turn those elements to a blue and purple? I absolutely love the design but am not a fan of how those colors look on me.

      Yes it is, to a curtain extent. Purple should look good over the red. But the green and blue, may look a tad like aqua. But in general, yes u can change the color. I change a color on one of my tats and came out beautifully.

      Seven or nine mag Bigger mags are usually used for softer shading if you want packed in bold black go with the seven or nine mag
