I agree with you Wayne. All data needs to be backed with evidential research and for the life of me I cannot find any documentation or anything that 'shows' this. The skincare team at CT really should be publishing the 'in depth' claims with their research tools and data collection rather than simply using words such as 'appear' and 'feels' in line with their number bashing. Sending super smiles.

Hi Rebecca (aka Posh) I love your review especially as you said it soaks into the skin rather than leaving a slick oil feel....could be a good one for me. Nina! Always such a pleasure to see you in comments! Yes. Exactly. Do you know what’s so funny? I gave my weird opinion, or what I thought was my weird opinion, about not putting oil on my face and I cannot believe how many people agree with me! It just makes me so uncomfortable! But the fact that this sinks in rather than sitting there like slime makes all the difference!

I’m definitely interested in this but I don’t know if it will do anything more than my current ride or die, which is the Korres Velvet Drink face oil. I’m so freaking OBSESSED with that oil because it literally makes your skin feel like velvet and it sinks in so fast I can use it day and night, without looking or feeling like a grease slick (and I have oily skin!) I really appreciate the review, Rebecca, and I will try to wait patiently until it comes to Sephora to try it out safely. It definitely sounds wonderful!!

Ya know, the thing about facial oils with me is that there are SOOOOOO many different so-called “oils” under one umbrella. There is the one-ingredient oil (one oil, period), multiple oils mixed together, multiple oils plus multiple ingredients mixed together, oily oils, dry oils, ya know what I mean!! Some sit on top of the skin, others disappear to the point I wonder why it’s called an “oil.” I get a little overwhelmed with the paradox of choice. Now, this is CT, so I am listening. That being said, eeeeeeek. Almost $100 for an oil… $80 plus tax is entering the $100 territory. They are great and very different. Feels like a balm. Like today I was gonna wear the ND I put on the Daphne liner and I want to get the matching lipstick. I saw the merit and was like ohhh it feels so good I want to wear that!

Thanks for the review. I am on the fence. Her claims say she tested on **15 and 30 people. With such a large company why only 30 people? Her closest friends?? That is ridiculous for such a well known brand. Based on that alone I am skeptical.

Hello Sue! All of Charlotte’s claims on her skin care products are laughably ridiculous. I like a lot of her skin care products so I say that with a kind of affection. But, she had one release where she claimed they use some sort of moss from the top of a mountain??? And i pictured the goats going hungry. And it’s always like 311%. I make fun of it in a lot of my videos. For some reason, in this one, I didn’t because I feared my jokes were getting old. But her claims are stupid. They are just absolutely stupid. And the amount of people that she tests on is also silly. But, like I said, I like a lot of the products and this one does seem to be a really good one. She just needs to stop with the pseudoscience because, I agree with you, it is an insult to our intelligence. But the product is actually really nice.

The goats are going hungry. Lol.
I like her skincare too. I have almost everything of hers including makeup. But I don’t know if they just “feel” good and are not really doing anything for my skin. You are right- almost insulting our intelligence. That’s why I am hesitating on ordering it. I feel like we are being laughed at for falling for the hype.

    • @NotFitforPrintBeauty

@@SueezS oh I agree. Entirely. I end up thinking do I like my skin? Does it look nice? Does it irritate? It does not seem to irritate and I have been using her skin products for years and years now. So I’m pretty confident in how they work for me. And, to be honest, with the skin oil, I glossed over it. I always laugh about it and make fun of it. I have no idea why I didn’t touch on it this time. I don’t even think I looked at it. It’s embarrassing. And I totally understand how you feel. And, in a way, if people start protesting the ridiculous statements, it should make an impact on the brand and they will realize they cannot pull our leg like that. 311%. Honestly. Ridiculous.

You can put it on top of the serum or mix it in. Kind of depends who you speak to. Both work very very well. I agree with you that it’s better on top.

I was so interested, until I heard the botanical bit & yes it contains the dreaded lavender, which makes my face burn! So wish that all my favourite brands wouldn’t use it, but I know I’m in the minority.

People with allergies should be careful. This contains oils such as avocado oil which can be dangerous for people who have nut allergies for example.
Somebody suggested mixing oils yourself, this is a good idea!

Thank you so much for this additional information, Chris. I agree with you. In fact, many of the products contained in pre-prepared facial oils can be problematic for people with allergies and skin issues. I am actually working on a video about allergy triggers in skincare and I will certainly include your avocado warning. Thank you so much for your comment.

Yeah no yuck!! I cannot do oils on my face but I think it is psychological. Oil just seems like a no no for the face. I don't have oily skin or problems with acne but the thought of a greasy face...yikes!! I got a deluxe size sample of Tarte's Marjulica oil once but the smell was rancid. This looks like it soaked into your skin tho...darrrrrhling!! 😉💋💓

Yesssssssss. Yes exactly. With oils I’m usually like WHY would I intentionally put oil on my FACE? Isn’t that what we normally try to rid ourselves of? Exactly. Psychological. Just no. Same page as you. And yet this is very nice. No oil slick at all. I’m super impressed!!!
