- Hello guys! I wanted to make this video as I've received so many messages asking me why I hate the brand and why I have posted so many negative reviews on Charlotte's products!!! So, it's probably about time that I address this as it's not actually true at all!
Those who know me know how much I have always loved the brand (I was their FIRST EVER customer) and that far outweighs any negative reviews :)

I really appreciate it and wanted to say thank you for all your insightful videos. Lastly, not something I would normally say- but dear God Wayne you are gorgeous AF. I remember you loved a lot about Charlotte Tilbury but you are always honest with us and boy do we love you and appreciate you for it. I swear your skin looks younger it's beautiful 😍
That’s always been a tale tale sign that distinguishes a makeup artist to a beauty influencer. Makeup artist play around and break the rules, mix products to achieve a specific look. Beauty influencers never take advantage of the products full potential and uses and sometimes how it was actually intended to be used.
Your still my favourite makeup channel for that reason. 😊

My biggest take away is that Wayne looks better as he gets older! Charlotte Tilbury was the first luxury makeup I bought and I will never forget using the products for first time...I was absolutely giddy.. to this day I remember that feeling when I smell her lipsticks...using her makeup is an experience more than anything else

When I was young I felt that way about MAC, Hard Candy and Urban Decay. Hard Candy is now cheap crap but it used to be amazing and sold at Sephora. I would get giddy with excitement going into a MAC or Sephora store.
Ooou, what a beautiful brand to try your first high end products🥰🤌 Her makeup was also for me sooo exiting, and at this point my hole collection already was high end and niche, you just can feel her passion in her formulas etc; really special...
The interviews where she talks about wearing makeup to bed & how her husband never sees her without it weird me out enough to pass on her products personally.
I found that really odd too - not something I’ve ever done and am not about to copy. Bad advice for healthy skin!
I do love that Wayne Goss shares his talents with us. That never ever ends.
But I just cannot do this woman's products. I feel like she is pushing on Wayne in a way and while it can be "reasonable " for the why i still just do not appreciate anything she pushes.

Plus, my intuition gets fidgety even thinking about her products. Trust the gut instinct even when I cannot put it into words. Its a wisdom.
Reaching and using Wayne to push her products due to his beautiful honesty is a no to me.
Far more superior products out there without the uncomfortable feeling and the high dollar coins to get that name on a product that isn't that great

Obviously, it's his opinion, because he clearly has shared his dislikes on some products. I only use like 2 of her products, so I'm def not a CT stand. I just think Wayne is showing his favorites.

It’s not even the price- her product are ok, you could get better with too faced , makeup forever, rare beauty and of course Fenty Beauty. CT products are not worth it

I am so with you on the CT products! What I have of hers works just like they are supposed to and you are so right about her setting spray. When we had to wear masks her setting spray was the last thing I used knowing my makeup would look good when the mask was removed. You are so honest and that is why we love you Wayne! 🥰

I can’t think of a single product that has changed my life hahaha only sunscreen in summer so I don’t get burnt, vaseline on lips and dry spots everything else I can live without, makeup especially! I hate when they speak in those terms about makeup and skincare and especially they consider life changing EVERY product like come on!!

Loved the previous footage! I must say, Charlotte may have taught you a lot but you have have absolutely blossomed way, way beyond any of that. There are not many people I trust and you are one of the very few. Less than a handful if I am being honest. You say what you think and in this fast moving beauty space that is invaluable. I LOVE pillow talk. Regular, pallet of pops, dreams pallet, dont care. Its perfect!
I know Wayne, I use only CT products and my appearance has levelled up sooo much, im so happy with everything I bought. The only other brand I have is from Max Factor the 2 in 1 new silver mascara with special brush, it stays on pretty good! All other mascaras just go under my eyes. I took your advice on the conceiler too, where I dont put it in places that crease anymore. Thanks for that advice!! Great video and cheers!
While I don't use a lot from CT, her setting spray is overall agreed upon to be the best out there and her Hot Lips lipsticks are my absolute favorite. Like every cosmetics line, there's hits and misses. Thank you as always for your honest review! 👄

Here’s something I do love from the CT brand, flawless airbrush setting spray. My word is it the best setting spray I have ever used. To be fair I’ve only used 4 brands, but hers kept my makeup from sweating off, creasing, or looking worn after several hours of a very long Deep South summer days.
Do you put it on before or after mascara?
I think with Charlotte Tilbury some of her products are absolutely lovely I agree the setting spray is fantastic only problem I had with it was that the nozzle broke quite easily. Which is not ideal if you are travelling a lot.
Then there are other products of hers that I think look super overpriced and are really gimmicky.
Your skin looks so gorgeous with these products! And of course you have your permanent twinkle. I really appreciate you, Wayne.
I went to see her at Nordstrom here in Dallas when she rolled out her first products. She was absolutely delightful, and we were all “darling-ed” all evening long. That said, I’m judicious about which products I pick. I’ve got a soft spot for her just as I do for Bobbi Brown because I think they know what they’re doing, and I found them kind in person. So fun to see your different looks, Wayne!
Thank you for doing this. I saw that Sali Hughes interview a long while back and was really impressed by her passion for makeup and shrewd dedication to her career. The sleeping with eyeliner bit just showed me how serious she was about beauty! But tbh, when I visited her shop in Covent Garden, something that had been on my bucket list, I felt I didn’t belong there. So, the only product I have ever bought is the lipstick, either for myself or others. And I know chrome-look products are not meant to last for ever, but the refillable lipstick case I bought had its print scrape off after some months of use-so now I also associate the brand with superficial shine and not a deeper luxury. I appreciate this video because it makes more of the products seem accessible to me.
Oh my gosh, yes! I forgot about those first refillable lipstick cases where the print rubbed off almost instantly! I was devastated!!! I bet she must have been too🫢 That was quite a disaster. Now she has the gorgeous gold with crystals. Refillable. They last😊❤

These are raging in price increases too. A simple mascara at Woolies is now over $20.
I will not buy her products anymore due to a horrible experience with an order (missing several items) and then absolutely dreadful customer service. I ended up returning what I did receive because of this experience. Other companies deserve my money much more than this one.

I had horrible experiences with online orders too AND the customer service. Absolutely horrendous! Buy mine from The Cult online, better priced too!!! Never a problem! Please don't stop enjoying her products because of their awful online shop. I spoke to Charlotte personally about this afew times some years back. They simply cannot handle the pressure. Good luck and go get your goodies at reduced prices, up to 20% off very regularly!!!❤🎉❤

I think it's important to be critical about brands, no matter if you're a fan or not. Just because you dislike one release, or upset they rereleased something doesn't mean that they hate the brand. Glad you speak your mind wayne
Dahhhhhhlinnnngggs! If a product is good, it's good, yet I cannot bear her marketing, advertisements, presentation. I love the blush, the setting spray, various other bits but my goodness woman stop! Hi Wayne I am 62 years old and find your makeup and skincare lessons absolutely the best! I have tried CT and some are fabulous,-lip liner and finishing powder compact. The beautiful Skin foundation was awesome ... for a couple hours then it started oxidizing to an odd orange colour. The eyebrow pencil pills on me. ( no other brands do) CT lip products are ok but I prefer Hourglass and Chanel. I am back to Chanel and Dr. Jart Foundation no problems . Hoping soon to try your products-!
I don’t by CT anymore. I buy from you, Lisa Eldridge and a few bits of YSL and Chanel. 😊
I used to be a huge fan of CT makeup , but now not so much . But here are my all time favorites: beauty wands, lipglosses and big eyeshadow palettes. After this video I’ll probably try film star palette and setting spray, but that’s it. Other products I’ve tried almost all, but nothing more impressed me. Easily can find better products for a better price.
I gave Wayne some negative critique a few months ago. Wayne I sincerely apologize, I was completely wrong when saying that your videos had lost a bit of their touch. This is exactly what I was missing for a while and wanted to see again, this passion and energy is amazing and the exact Wayne who won me over as a huuge fan of him and his techniques loong time ago! Her Vintage Vamp palette was amazing. Right now all I use is her setting spray. The rest is overrated over hyped and over priced. Anything pillow talk is beyond boring. Plus that's all she seems to focus on. 🙄

Love her setting spray, pressed powder, and the push-up lashes mascara. The oyster pearl cream eyeshadow is amazing.
The pillow-talk eyes are all too pink for my complexion, and her lipstick colors are all too muddy for me

I remember watching CT doing a video saying that make up doesn't have to be expensive and its easy to use drugstore for exactly the same result. Then she creates overpriced products that can be easily replicated for a lot less money. No way would i buy her stuff & seeing real life results have not blown me away.
I can't afford the Charlotte, let alone the Tilbury. Love your tips.

I recently swatched her liquid blushes in store and they look so lush. The one you used, I’ve not seen before but it also looks so lush. It’s definitely on my wish list. Her mascara is one of my favourites. Her powder is just wow and I’ve recently tried her setting spray and I do think it’s worth the hype. I have the film star duo but it just didn’t wow me.
Totally agree with you🎉I love her products, so lush and glowy without being oily and it all melts into place and stays put...perfection❤❤❤ Absolutely nothing compares as far as I'm concerned. Must try the mix with cream and glow stick!!! Looks devine to start off with😍
My favourite product is the Multi Miracle Glow. I noticed a difference within my skin after a month or so, especially my (as it was then) slightly wrinkled forehead. It was only when I checked the ingredients that I spotted it has a form of retinol (retinyl palmate) in it, which is better for sensitive skin. This, combined with the fact that I was using it as a cleanser meant I get the benefits of retinol without the side effects. Result!
Second is the Airbrush Flawless Finish. I'm a bit oily so need a setting powder on my t-zone and this is perfect. It's finely milled so I only need to tap a bit on and it reduces the shine without making my skin look cakey. I'm on my third or fourth now and it's very rare that I reuse a product so much.
The only thing I'm not keen on are the nude lipsticks. Perhaps it's because my natural lip colour is a bluey-pink but they all seem to look quite orange on me (even Pillow Talk original). Walk of Shame is amazing though, love it.
Wayne: your skin is beautiful. I love your look. Question: why do our ears turn red? My ears used to do that. Is it stress? And yes, I always do my ears so I don't look weird. Thank you!
Honestly I've no idea! I tend to get pink ears mostly when I film. I think it's a combination of the lights and just the stress of getting everything ready! xx

I have been watching your videos since 2008. You are the only makeup youtuber that have been watching consistently. Your recommendation are always spot on.
I havent really tried many of her products.. but I'm absolutely obsessed with her translucent powder.. love it more than the laura mercier loose powder. I think her setting spray is great too... but honestly for the price point.. i get the milani setting spray instead
I enjoyed this video, Wayne-hearing the good AND the bad. I don’t know about Charlotte Tilbury as a person but you can’t deny that her products have that special, je ne sais quoi quality to them, which look gorgeous on you❣️❣️✨✨
I love Charlotte Tilbury products. I am a huge fan of her Magic Cream. I have several of her quad eye palettes. I use her Legendary Lash mascara. And her powders--bronzing, Hollywood Bronze and Glow and her setting powder. Ah and then there are her lipsticks. For the final touch, I use her setting spray. I use other products as well but Charlotte Tilbury's are among my holy grails.
Me too! I stopped using her cream for awhile, just for a change, and oh my word...The difference in my skin was so obvious within afew weeks!!! Nothing makes my skin as clear, bright, smooth and perfectly hydrated as her Magic Cream, nothing. Always good to have a little break to realize how good a product really is! Same with the lipsticks..,they are my go to, even having other brands too, always find hers better somehow..powder products too...and her eyeshadows, so blendable, perfection. I can go on, but I think you get my drift😊❤Holy grails❤

Just like most Chanel makeup products, I can’t deal with Charlotte’s makeup because of the perfumed smell on everything. 🤢💄 It’s too overbearing and makes me feel ill. 😞

Same! Heavy fragrance is a deal breaker. I really, really loved Too Faced chocolate powder foundation, that's why they discontinued it, of course. It was a light scent that didn't linger. Once I tried a Lancome mascara. It stank & I couldn't use it. I don't need my eyelashes to smell like perfume!! I really don't need anything that goes on my face to be perfumed! Why?? Why do they do that? Does anyone want their cosmetics stinky?

I have a love/ hate relationship with CT products. My favourite/ most used foundation is the Light Youth Wonder. Perfect shade, dewy & always looks good on my dry skin. Love her colour corrector & eye shadow pencils that I use as eyeliner - doesn't budge & is flattering. On the flip side, had a terrible experience with the bronzer & highlighter duo. Caused a nasty reaction on my eyelids & took some time to heal. I must have got a bad batch because the highlighter also looked hideous - yellow, chalky & cakey.

The way you are literally pounced on by more staff than customers at her flagship london store repulsed me 2 days ago. Hard sell said it all to me … and the patronising ‘darling’ at every turn is a turn off too. Don’t like the brand values I guess!
I do like pillow talk lipsticks (original and dark). They work well with my complexion and I like the creamy feel. Not all lipsticks translate as well though!!! Also love the vintage vamp. Some other eyeshadow palm eyes were disappointing. They don’t all perform as well.
What I love about Charlottes products is how easy they are to use, they last forever and even when you do a more glam look, you never look over done. I don't buy as often from CT as I used to, usually when she has a sale, but I've got palettes I bought ages ago and they're still going. I do appreciate the more affordable dupes though, Aldis makeup is excellent

I bought some CT mascara. It was the most expensive I’ve ever purchased and it was the worst I’ve ever purchased, it underperformed in every way. I’ve never bought a CT product ever again.

When Beautypedia was around I remember that site breaking down the ingredients in one of her moisturizers (I think it was her "Magic" cream. It was nothing more han a basic moisturizer but at a ridiculous price. Same with her other products & their ridiculous claims. I did like her early palettes though. Definitely overpriced though. Wayne i love you. I've been watching since that first Kim K yellow concealer video. I introduced my Mom to you & she adored you too. She's passed away but used to use your techniques & would be so excited to tell me when she did . ❤❤❤❤❤❤
The flat brush powdering is very Mary Greenwell of you! I watched her do that once and was obsessed with it ever since.
I bought a mini version of her pillow talk lipstick and lip liner since her full sized products are out of my price range-I actually like them-the color is almost too cool on me but it somehow works. The liner almost matches the lipstick-it’s a bit warmer. On a deeper skin tone it’ll look nice with a deeper lip liner.
Just make a Charlotte Tilbury piggybank. Every time you come home with coins, put them in that piggybank! Then you can buy a CT product everytime you have saved enough...❤❤❤ Hey, that's how we did it when I was young! 😊

Maybe you could play with similar coloured eyeshadows to tint clear mascara? If it's ever discontinued
Telescopic mascara from Loreal comes in a brownish shade too and Sky high has a brown one also
Wayne. Your mascara brand is hands down the absolute best I've ever and will continue to use! The darkest black ever and my lashes hold all day and honestly they appear as if I am wearing false eyelashes. Going on 60 it really makes a huge difference of a youthful look around my eye area even with my older age. There is a con like all products have at least one. It takes a tad more time to remove at night though it is waterproof. However, a nice waterproof remover will work with a few extra minutes but all so worth it! One more issue which really isn't an issue which I will explain is the tube doesn't last as long as it can tend to dry out faster than most mascaras so I just order two at a time and
what can be good about that is one should change out their mascara more frequently due to bacteria. Please don't ever discontinue your Wayne Gross waterproof mascara because there's nothing else like it out there!! 😘.

I originally thought Charlotte Tilbury products were boring, and I didn't understand the hype. I'm glad I tried some. I don't always love every product, but I love many, and the ones I do love stand out in terms of ease of application and beauty of the look.

True! Bronzers are orange and finished super fast! Even hoola bronzer mini size lasted longer
I found her pillow talk lipstick to be more on the cooler side (neutral) but yes, her other products pull quite warm
@@virgofairy88 I bought the pillow talk lipstick when it was first available in the US. On me it was an orange-y brown. It was such a turn off I never tried it again.
Pillow talk eyeshadow quad pulls orange on me. I find these days what a lot of brands call pink is actually peach.

I don't understand the obsession with CT, I've bought her lip liners and they are awful,hard not soft and graze your lips to hell?her compact lip and cheek gloss is ridiculously tiny and such a small amount for the money, her magic cream is just ponds,I haven't bought anything from her since
Always learning something - like applying matifying powder with a flat brush. Makes so much more sense !
A lovely, lovely look. I just wish that everyone could enjoy her makeup and skincare. Unfortunately, it's just too pricey. I've never bought anything as I just haven't got that sort of disposable cash. Such a shame as they look wonderful.

But I hate the exchange rate and shipping from the US. I love your products so much I'd even buy them from Mecca. That is REALLY strong love.
I love some of her products. When it's right, it's stunning. When it's not it's sad as it's so expensive! Beautiful skin foundation, goes so oily on me, and I have dry skin.
