Thank you. It has not been a very good day for me, dealing with emotions and insecurities as I'm 16. Even though we are going through different phases of our lives, this resonates with me. Only when I'm by myself can I truly feel like myself. I hope that makes sense. Again, thank you. Update: It's a different day, and I think that day I was focusing more on the "sad things," so to speak. But now that I have a clearer perspective on the poem and have heard it again, I think it is beautiful. It's not about being alone or only feeling like yourself when you're alone. Instead, it's about being grateful for who you have become and who you want to become, and how you are allowing this new version of yourself to be seen, knowing that it will continue to grow. It's about feeling it, tasting it, making it your reality. For me, it's about trusting yourself, even when negative things are happening and you feel it might not be worth it. It is worth it, fighting for yourself is always worth it.
