I like Duncan, that was a smart tactic, getting clear on their balance sheet, working out that NET assets were £31,500 and putting in a conditional offer based on converting the debt to equity to mitigate risk.
Everybody assumes you're mobbed up, just because you're in waste management! It's a stereotype, and it's offensive, and I don't want you perpetuating it!
A building site needs big 20ft long skips.. these are household bins. And does a separate truck come round to collect each colour of bin? Because now you have 5 different trucks visiting the same site on a regular basis. How is that environmentally friendly.. 🤷♂️
@@vicipizI’m a site manager .. these bins are used all over site. There is a lot of general waste that gets produced .. empty boxes of screws , mastic etc. packaging and wrapping of other products used on site, for example packets of plaster, cement etc Mostly though they’re used to transport the above & other waste from upper/lower floors to the location of the bigger actual ‘skips’ which are collected by Lorrie’s etc Not sure about the recycling part, unless it’s to do with products which contain certain products which can’t be recycled or are hazardous etc
who knows if this one either happened, having to convert debt to equity makes it tricky. They have left him with 60% he and his partner split 30 % each. Then the "friends and family" money has to come from that 30%. They will both be left with a small bit of the pie.
@@b33f_w3lingt0n looking at companies house, the deal was done, however the "friends and family" didn't get any shares. Then two years later the Dragons left. Still in business today owned by the two people who started it.
With Duncan's demand of exchanging loans for equity, wouldn't the dragons be diluted down from 40% anyway? Or would the equity be redistributed before the deal is made?
Them little tiny bins for site waste lol seriously would have about a hundreds wheelie bins all over the place on a refurbished job in London yeah right that’s definetly not going to work
How do the size of those bins take the kind of volume of waste produced by a building site? Anyway, doesn’t matter- most of it will go to landfill in China.
I thought that at first too, but I think they may just be illustrative. It's plausible that the actual bins on site would be skips or at least much larger bins. Bringing a full sized bin into the den would've been unfeasible
This is a rare occasion where not one dragon ripped the person pitching apart, not a rubbish idea after all!
Yeah, the pitch wasn't garbage. No trash talking or people spouting rubbish.
Cameraman: “how many camera pans do you want on Evan Davies?”

Yes both things I was wondering.
These bins definitely aren’t suitable for construction waste.
Maybe good for the smoko rubbish

Actually he and his partner split 40% and however they want to dirtribute the conversion of debt to equity is whatever the family agrees with.
