    Thanks TRQ! Mine were so shot the bushings were gone & this video confirmed how to install new ones. Job done, time for a rodeo, cold beer!

    Same style of links are on the Pontiac Aztek. Finding Aztek specific info for free is hard, so looking at other GM vehicles at the same era, has gotten me through an entire suspension rebuild. Thanks for the info! This is my first vehicle I've done brakes and handling first.

    Mine were a bit shorter than originals, but it does not matter since i am changing both.
    Also jacking up the arm to ride level helps

    Great video! Why is it that replacement sway bar links on these models are longer than OEM? Notice how much farther your replacement bolt is sticking out than the original.

    What was that bit you use to tap out the sway bar link at the top was it a bit you put in an SDS rotary hammer or was it a Pneumatic tool complete?

      Air hammer

    Is it possible for these links to produce a "creaking" noise?

    Could you leave these off to get a lil more flex off road? Like a jeep so to speak? Or is that a slippery slope being IFS and all? Just curious...good video buddy

    The issue I’m having is the bolt isn’t long enough on the new one and it’s been kicking my butt I’m not sure what to do at this point

      Use a jack to lift up the control arm and jack it up.

    • @DeltaH-9
      @DeltaH-9 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The control arm needs to be loaded, or press down on the sway bar with a long pry bar.

    Do I need an alignment after replacing these?

    I ordered these sway bar links and they were too short. There wasn't enough thread on the top to get the nut screwed on. I ended up having to put the OEM ones back in.

      @@LotsOfPaypa Does anyone know a part number for a kit that would work for a lifted 2005 GMC Sierra? 4" lift..HELP!! Please and thank you. Any help would be much appreciated.

    Does the wheel have to be off and the truck be up?

    • @digi3218
      @digi3218 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you can do it with the wheel on and the truck on the ground ... maybe at least put it on a jack stand.

    What is it, 15mm or 14mm? Sure, you know what you are doing?
    It was a 13mm for I, and I used a vicegrip to hold the WHOLE metal piece. NOT the tiny end of it.
    Folks, stay away from this shop.

    Other video I just tried to watch on this subject, the guy had a speech impedament also. Maybe its my hearing. Other guy sounded drunk but with rapid slurred speech. On this one I keep hearing "beericle" and
    " sweer bar links". To bad I can find nothing on my model of Malibu. Ps dont drink and drive a BEERICLE!
