    Great info, I've been doing multiple trips with a small cart and will definitely look at your setup.

    Thanks for the review- I think you just convinced me to get the smaller Voyager vs the Apollo.

      Thanks for watching. Glad it was helpful. I feel like the Voyager and the Apollo are for almost two different use cases. The Apollo is much heavier from what I can tell from specs. It feels like a cart that stays built most of the time and gets loaded in a grip truck. I haul my own gear and need something that can fit in a small vehicle and be managed by one person. That's where I feel like the Voyager excels.

    Whats the name of the Think Tank bags for your cameras?

    • @dustinschmidtphoto
      @dustinschmidtphoto  หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you're talking about the big green, boxy ones? Those are Think tank Photo Video Rig 18 rolling cases. Unfortunately Think Tank stopped making them a couple years ago I think, but they're available used if you look around.

    Very informative video, thanks! I think this cart is great but a little high priced for my budget and probably more than I need just yet. What C-stand is that?

    • @dustinschmidtphoto
      @dustinschmidtphoto  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's the small Avenger C-Stand. It's just a shorter 4.5 footer with the detachable turtle base. www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/243730-REG/Avenger_A2014CB_A2014CB_Double_Riser_Column.html

      @@dustinschmidtphoto thanks so much I like the size looks perfect for me

    By leaving the wheels on in the car, doesn't it takes up space which can be used for the other gears and camera? Considering u have huge camera bags.

    • @dustinschmidtphoto
      @dustinschmidtphoto  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's a great question. I typically use the space under the cart that's in between the wheels to slide in tripods, light stands or light modifiers. I haven't found a huge difference in the amount I can put in my car when doing that, and it makes the load out once I get to location so much faster.

      @@dustinschmidtphoto I'm also looking to get a NXT 36. Evo is marketed with smoother and more premium wheel than NXT but I wonder how much more performance there is. No chance for hands on test with them here.

      @@shem44 My cart is the Voyager 36 EVO with the 10" Premium EVO - Aluminum Wheel System and the Standard Top With Threaded Rail-Plates. My note on wheels is that if you're going to already be spending a large sum of money for a cart, it is worth it to get the best wheels you can. The 10" wheels in particular make this cart roll very easily, even with a large amount of weight on it, and that is key in my opinion. I would advise you to go with the best and largest wheels you can afford.

    THREE THOUSAND DOLLARS!!!! WHAAAT!! this isn’t even realistic...

    • @dustinschmidtphoto
      @dustinschmidtphoto  ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s very expensive, no doubt. There are also lots of other less expensive cart options on the market. For me, this cart has been worth the price. I continue to use it daily and the benefits are many. But it is definitely not for everyone.

      @@dustinschmidtphoto can you give me an idea of what other ones are out there. I can see myself DEFINITELY using this. It's just too rich for my blood. Thank you for getting back to me by the way

    • @dustinschmidtphoto
      @dustinschmidtphoto  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@medx911 Inovativ is pretty much the high end of the market, so everything else is going to be cheaper by comparison, but depending on your price range there are different options. Rock-N-Roller carts are great starting points since they have several price points. rocknrollercart.com/ I have a small Rock-N-Roller myself for other jobs. YaegerPro has some great carts. yaegerpro.com/ Adicam, (adicam.pl/product-category/carts/) and many others.
