"the Banger Bus" is the reason I bought a van too. It changed the way I work on productions large or small. Thanks Matt and Bob for the inspiration and great example.
My guy! This is the best van mod build ever made. Once my investments are ready to pull out you will be getting a call from me because this build is insane and I want to buy one made to order. 😁
I've watched this video a couple times now over the past few months. This morning I pulled the trigger on a 2015 Transit 148"... Building it out as a mobile production truck starting second week of September!
Having followed this on IG and here, this walkthrough just raises the envy levels to new heights. I remember commenting that we fly everywhere on productions so can't justify this kind of build... But that's clearly no excuse as you probably fly more than us! Urgh... Seriously impressive, the reason it works so well is because you're the client. Only somebody who works doing this very specific kind of filming would get why it has to be this way. Kudos team!
Not gonna lie, I’m jealous, and I don’t even shoot video- that van is just that awesome! The countless little things that make your lives easier and making sure the mounts are interchangeable, just wow, that is some great planning and building! Next business venture: building custom work vans.
Very inspiring! I’m venturing out of the home office and into a mobile design office van/truck to provide my web design/e-commerce services to brick and mortar stores in the UK. This video has definitely inspired my creativity to use all the space inside to its maximum ability.
Like most others, I wish I hadn’t seen this. I watched it twice, immediately. Send help. That awning. The cart. The shelves, which are on shelves and have shelves. It’s all too much. Excellent work, keep it up.
Real man tears happening rn. Im leaving on a film stock tour in 6 days, i am still trying to solve the internet issue. But seeing this video was crazy helpful. Im taking what we have left to do this trip, this was exactly what i needed to be a little more prepared. You guys are so awesome and i literally never comment. #justfilmit
I absolutely LOVE this video and the others you have done. Thanks for the insights! Though I'm only kitting out a truck (baby steps), I'm taking notes for the future :) Much appreciated!
That's pretty incredible! Great build. I'm a few years away from needing one of these myself, but I'm working hard to get there! Thanks for the inspiration!
I just launched a film production startup and had independently arrived at the decision to grab a Sprinter and do something just like this. That being said, I'm stealing literally all of you guys' ideas haha.
This production build is beast mode. For those location shoots that are in hotels, high rises etc where you have to drive up several floors to park, this truck is too high to enter parking garages. What solution do you employ to transport gear from ground to high rises or buildings? Also wondering what security alarm systems would be best for these kind of vehicles.
Yea. High rise hotels stink. We try to avoid those. Good example. Say Las Vegas. Don't stay in a casino. There's a nice Hampton Inn with an outdoor parking lot on the other side of I-15. We book around parking, security and ease of use for all hotels and lodging for sure! Nothing worse than having to lug 20 cases up 2 elevators and 3 hallways when the bell-cart is missing!
Hi guys, awesome van !!!! Please can u tell me the size of the shelves, specially the width of each side. Thx, i'm in New Caledonia and building my own production van (specially for light department) in a Renault Master L3H2 with already 3 more seats
Hey mate, how is it going so far with Ford Transit? Can you share some experience with us now, after 3 years... we will really appriciate! We are more interested about Van condition, do you have problem with rust, maintanance etc... Thanks a lot!
I have 2 transits. This black one which now has 140k miles and a grey one I built into a camper. No rust on either, and I live in Michigan with very salty winter roads.
This is the type of modularity I have been looking for. Super thought out and very creative. Would make big production shoots so much easier.
As someone looking to build a camera van right now, I geeked out so hard to this video!
Hard work pays off
Me too.
I want mobile video editing van like this..for film production and color grading
This is insane. I just acquired a cargo van for production and am excited to kit it out. Great vid.
This is the best production van I have ever seen. Ever.
Great breakdown. Awesome van!!
Thank you!
"the Banger Bus" is the reason I bought a van too. It changed the way I work on productions large or small. Thanks Matt and Bob for the inspiration and great example.
Will Roegge can you make a video of your van ? That would be dope
This is so amazing, I don’t even know what to say….except… wow, good job. This is beyond innovative. Very inspiring.
OMG I am in love. Like everyone else, I just totally geeked out. My only surprise is that this video hasn't gone totally viral.
( 3:43 sold me!) we need that shelving for our baby gear truck!
Shelves are truth.
My guy! This is the best van mod build ever made. Once my investments are ready to pull out you will be getting a call from me because this build is insane and I want to buy one made to order. 😁
Thanks dude!
So much inspiration for my first production van. Thanks a lot guys, you put the bar WAYYYY up high. have fun on your shoots ;)
Thanks!
Dude honestly if you have blueprints of this build I would pay for them.
I've watched this video a couple times now over the past few months. This morning I pulled the trigger on a 2015 Transit 148"... Building it out as a mobile production truck starting second week of September!
Heck yea. How's the build going? How many plastic christmas tree things have you broken?
@@BangersMatt It's coming along well. I want to say we're nearing completion. Would love to connect on social media!
This has to be one of the coolest things I've ever seen.
Forget video production...you guys need to do custom van conversions or both!
Your video provides so much inspiration to our build.

And at 7.52... What the hell do you lift with that!!!
Bryn Musselwhite had the same opinion for a long time. I usually do 180,000 air miles a year. Still worth it!
Bryn Musselwhite was originally built for 2 REDs (array). But it’s really too big. Became more of a science project.
What is their ig?

Step one..... get the van! Agh I want one so bad now. Thanks for all the tips!
efficiency on a shoot is so important! and the clients love an organised crew :) very nice setup.
Time is money!
Whoa. Well done. You thought this through and executed!
Heck YES! Looking at going mobile for our studio vs renting space. So many advantages.
Very nice build out gents.
Thanks!
Incredible build
Nice work, Matt! Making Grand Rapids proud. ✊🏼

NICE RIDE!!!
This is amazing!! Id be interested in buying the design specs to build one of my own!

Just without word. Your are genius 😍😍😍
Ha. Thanks.
Can you give any more info on the multi band extender setup? do you need a ham license for that?
Vans are the way to go! Been working out of mine for a year now. Love it! Great buildup guys. I may need to steal some ideas!
You described all my dreams in 14 minutes

Congrats!
Just awesome!!
Working on my van. Not as fancy more geared towards livestreaming. I really like your computer station.. stealing that idea.
your van is awesome! Can you tell me what material you used for the shelf panels? plywood or composite material?
Just plywood with automotive carpet on them. Ez.

It's an Alucab ShadowAwn
Super cool can I love the design new sub
Nice!
How many turbos has it been through at this point and has it had transmission problems, or any other major problems? Beautiful build!
It's had a few turbos, yea, and a torque converter. It has 150k on it now.
thanks
I’m drooling. Would you ever be open to being paid to consult on making another of these dream machines? Do you have proper set of shop drawings?
