This paddle to graduate to concept is a good one. Especially with the “if you want more/less” notes. It gives us a comparison and a direction of where to go next if we aren’t feeling a paddle we tested or have outgrown our current main. 👍👍
Agreed on the feeling of the All Court if you’re coming from the Mach2 Forza. It felt too stiff and had too much pop at the kitchen for me. I switched to a Jellybean 14mm and love it. Fast, light, powerful, only downside is an occasional pop-up at the kitchen.
Thanks for the review! Great as always. I was just wondering if you were planning on talking about the new power paddle testing in an upcoming podcast or video. From what I can tell, it looks like they will be measuring exit velocity instead of just deflection. But I trust your opinion on the matter more than the other reviewers I’ve seen talk about it.
I didn't feel more power w the MAL over the M2F. Poppier yes, but I felt like overheads were less powerful and the shape of the MAL cutting through the air on overheads was noticeably draggy.
Bought one of these to compare to my Hurricane Pro 16mm. It did have more pop and power, but the spin just wasn’t good enough for my liking (compared to the HP at least). And the handle feels even shorter than the HP, which is advertised as 5.5”.
So curious Chris if the 14 mm model in both all court and Jellybean wound move these paddles up in pop and obviously power to be closer to the PT Esq 14? Thx in advance.
I'm a solid 3.5 and can generate my own power, and really enjoy my Jelly Bean. I like the plush feel because I have some moderate tennis elbow issues and look for paddles that do a good job of dampening vibration. If I were to try the All Court would I experience a noticeable increase in harshness? What would you suggest? Thanks.
Two months ago, I switched from a LUXX Epic to a Mach 2 Forza. I'll never go back to a LUXX. The Volair is that good. But, I do see myself wanting a bit more power.
I got a friend to convert from a Luxx to PIKKL Vantage Pro16 and they love it. It has the same dimensions as the Luxx along with similar static and swing weights. If you want to keep with standard or widebody shapes check out the PIKKL HP16 or 14. It's very similar to the M2F but I feel has just a touch more power. Also the Monarch Jellybean is an excellent control paddle too. A lot of awesome choices currently!
I tried to switch to the Monarch All Court from a M2F 14mm (wanting a little more power) and I couldn’t do it. Does have more power but I hated the feel off the face. The new Pickleball Apes standard shape paddle has me interested!
Hello, I bought this paddle after this review. I have been looking to add Hesacore to the paddle. Do you use the one 5.25 Inches long or the 6 Inches Long Hesacore Grip? I'm confused as Monarch AC's Grip length is 5.75 inches long.
Random commenters personal opinion: I preferred these wide/standard paddles in this order: 1) Paddletek ESQ-C 12.7 2) volair M2F 14mm 3) volair M2F 16mm 4) 11six24 Monarch All Court 16mm The monarch just felt too short for me, coming over from elongateds
I'm gonna be switching from the 12.7 to the 14.3. Just wanted more sweetspot than the 12.7 gave even tho I love the power I don't mind trading a little bit for more forgiveness
@@JaxxCrash not unless i feel a need to, i generally weight paddles to shift balance for faster hands. My TKO-C is 8.1 with weighted tape at buttcap, i used a hesacore on my Ronbus R1.14 to shift weight balance, etc
Okay, please help me out here with trying to figure out which paddle to buy. It's between this one (monarch All pro paddle) and the Vatic pro prism flash. Is there a big difference? looking for all opinions.thx
Money aside, do you think someone who already owns the Hurache-X Control+ would be worth the upgrade? It's the only paddle i've owned/purchased and I like but looking refine my preference. Or would it be worth trying a completely different paddle that has diff materials and shape to get a sense of something else who's never tried anything else.
@@chinesecheeunit I have both. I wouldn't consider it an upgrade. It's more about what kind of playing style do you prefer. The Monarch AC is much faster in the hand and therefore I like it better at the net. But, I am very tall with a long reach so the decrease in paddle length doesn't affect me much. The feel between the 2 is basically the same except the Monarch has better stability due to its shape. Overall, I like it better as I have shifted away from the elongated shape and prefer more hybrid or standard shapes. If you want to try something with a different feel, you could try the Monarch Jelly Bean. That thing is like a pillow, amazing control, with just enough pop. It does lack power though but it feels really good.
I used the Control+ before switching to this one. Sweet spot is nicer on this one. Handle is longer on the other. I prefer this for the better sweet spot. Wish the handle was longer.
Mach 2 Forza 6 months to Fat Boy for 2 months to Monarch All Court for 3 games. For what it's worth, All court is in between the other two - doesn't quite hit as hard as the fat boy but is a really good controllable paddle with plenty of offense and is my favorite of the 3 so far. I play the jelly bean some too and it hits just as hard as the all court with lead tape and effort but more stupid shots just die on the edge guard that go over no problem with thermoformed paddles. The fat boy is a great paddle just requires a lot more concentration to control the pop with. Everything in the Monarch/Pegasus line is so good I think i'll just stick with that lines newest offerings for the future.
I agree with some other comments here, that this paddle is nothing 'special'. It's a basic gen2 paddle with a little tweak here and there. In previous segments, you stated that you would only review unique paddles, as these types are a dime a dozen nowadays. I play with the PIKKL Hurricane, and would love to see a review on it, however, it's similar (or better imo) to the M2F. Looking forward to the new paddles coming out and your review. Don't get me wrong, love your channel and I'm subscribed!!
Interesting to have a video about a monarch paddle being a possible upgrade to the Mach 2 Forza when the release of the Volair CTRL is around the corner. Maybe the CTRL is not the upgrade we were hoping for…
Great review as usual. Why are they dropping the Kevlar material in their line of paddles? I have tried the elongated Hurache-X Contol+ and the regular Control, but prefer so far the Monarch wide body styles. I am enjoying the Jelly Bean, but might try the All Court.
Chris, thanks for the review. I’m currently using the Apollo and I love it, just wish it has a longer handle as my hands are big and I’m trying to have a twooey. Do you think this is a progression as well for Apollo users? I don’t think I have any problems with the Apollo’s pop, but was wondering on the power side.
Just speaking on my experience, you will get more power and pop from the Monarch in my experience. But you will trade off on the dynamic feel of the Kevlar and you will notice a difference in spin when you go to the Monarch in that it won't be as good.
I have the Apollo and All Court in my bag. They are very different paddles imo. I loved the All Court until I play at the 4.5-5.0 level and get exposed. It is very true that it is stiffer and more sensitive to popping up resets in the transition zone. I have went back to the Apollo as it's more of a control reset monster and it suits my game because I can generate my own power. I win most of my points aggressively dinking and using flicks. The All Court wouldn't always get me to the kitchen as easily as the Apollo which is why I went back.

Which of the models do you prefer to play with? Also what are the specs for the 14mm all court and would you play that over the 16mm?

Because they are more expensive to produce and they've been coming back to David with lot more defective and with cosmetic blemish paddles.
