The top end charge on a large turbo Supra is crazy, without nitrous or something to spool it it'll be soft off the line but when the turbo spools hold on!

@me-ns6ir notice how many of the other cars have wraps? Its a lot cheaper and less permanent than repainting a car, and can be done quickly to change the look of a vehicle.
@@paladinkhandepends on where you go to get a paint job and where you go to get a wrap sometimes it’s the opposite depending on the car and it’s cheaper to paint than to wrap. Wraps are only better because of resale value in my opinion. Most people aren’t gonna buy a hot pink or a purple car they will most likely avoid it. So wrapping a car a weird color then when you go to sell the car it is the factory color and more desirable to majority of people
@themaskedmusician4846 thats a very good way to put it. And absolutely, as with most things, there are always the high end of things which can cost more. You could easily spend more on a wrap than paint, and visa versa. But definitely mostly for a temporary change, while being able to leave the its stock color. Or to see if you want to fully paint a car, or even sometimes as a way to protect the paint underneath
I think the supra is a good idea because it's something different from what y'all usually play around with. It was a lot of American muscle variety, then the Porsche, now a supra and since it's a beater with solid bones you can take it and put the cleeter spice on er and do it a bit different than everyone else at race day like you did with Leroy's progression. You already show how much fun you have in it and a lot of us haven't seen a car put that kinda smile on your faces since the early days of the channel. Make it cleeterfide and pull it out for the special track events or as a secret weapon haha.

for those of you impressed by the speedo clip, the cluster doesn't account for the 28+inch tall tire on that car. at 9500rpm, the car is doing over 145mph in 3rd gear (while spinning), not the indicated 130mph. 8000rpm in 4th was 160mph. the car is even faster than you think.
That 80-120mph was insane. Speedo was moving like the tech.

Supras are powerful expensive. To do any kind of racing it would need a cage and to be competitive at anything it'll need a parachute, lightweight body panels, ripping the interior out and so on. That one looks stock everywhere but the engine. Even a stick shift. It would be kinda crazy to spend l probably 100k or more on a car like that then chop it up. Take Sam's with the automatic and send that one.

@philbert006 so cut apart a mint condition supra? Very easy to swap to auto, and he has a fabricator on the pay roll for a cage, also there's manual supra in the 6's.
As much as you guys do events like street car takeover, and the drag and drives, the supra would be a fantastic contender in roll racing and take leroys place as the stick shift street car in drag and drives. Lots of content capability

Ruby needs one of the new Steve Morris SML billet engines. Being LS based it'll drop right in.
That was my thought too, a LS that can actually go a whole season on the same set of head gaskets.
@@joncar2415the BEST thing about those SML engines is you are allowed to take them to any LSFest because they use the base design and there is some measure of parts interchangeability. Steve Morris confirmed it was allowed when I asked him a few months back.

You can use it as a back up in the stick shift class if Leroy is not ready for an event. You can start doing roll racing and putting it against the UGR Lambos and the Turbo Vipers. There’s a lot to do with it.

Put that refreshed 632 in Ruby and a couple of kits of NOS. Nothing overly crazy. Should be a fun ride again with different power adders. Oh….And a hood with a big cowl. And maybe a new red paint job. Maker her look slick! She’s been good to y’all. She deserves it!
That 632 is not up for that task. At the end of the day it's a pretty cheaply built engine that works well in a hotrod on a budget. But it is not built for actual racing, especially with nitrous. Reality is that they don't really have any uses for those Blueprint engines.
@@AB-80Xeah I was gonna say the same thing. If I remember correctly, they said that thing wasn’t built for anything but naturally aspirated. Hell, just look how crappy the pushrods were. Were those freaking aluminum?! I think a 200 shot of nitrous would pop that thing in a single pull. That thing was built for some old man to putt around town in his old classic, and maybe romp on it in second gear to make the grandkids smile 2-3 times a year.

The pushrods are steel, just cheap pushrods. They are fine for someone with a cheap build that don't beat on the engine. These guys abuse things so clearly better stuff is needed. Next it will be all the rest of it.
Nothing wrong with Blueprint, they aren't worse than a run of the mill cheapo GM base crate engine, but they aren't more than that. Also, 632's are just generally a poor choice of size. Once this things really grenades, they should throw a 4.375" rotating assembly in there and be done with it. Or at least suggest to Blueprint that they give them their 572 or 540 engines instead. But I'm guessing that Blueprint is trying to peddle these 632's a bit.

I've driven most supercars bar the very latest as well as some insanely fast muscle cars and I have NEVER seen a speedo do that. He didn't have nitrous turned on BTW.
Was turning the tire while it was accelerating. My car used to do the same. Hit the throttle in each gear and it would go to the limit of the rpm/gearing. You don't see full boost in these things till 6k+ so all the power comes in up top. Fun cars. RBs are similar.

If they want to push the limits of an LS car, this makes sense. I wonder if Steve gives him a break on price for advertising his engines so well. Mullet is already at such a high level that there isn't a point to try to do a BBC in Ruby to compete. Nirous engines are risky and even James seems to be only running a turbo on his cars now. George has a blown LS and they already have two blown BBC methanol cars.
Buy the Supra, the content is limitless if you think about it. We all want to see more after Jame's reaction!
