Put the same clip in twice lol

“It” happens.
No double 2 steps. 😢
Hell yea brother!!
The cost to send these cars back and forth to Mexico has got to be high. Thank you Cleetus for not sparing any expense to make these videos for us.
Brother he got fuck you money 😂
Its a business expense. Mans literally bought a racetrack for content.
I see it as for income.
The man makes money of TH-cam as it is this just helps him expand want to know why?
Because we fans and cleet both love motorsports and people will pay because he's reviving a dying sport like many other TH-camrs.
My bad for the essay I'm stoned 😌
Why are they sent to mexico?
@@mrbmp09”filmed in Mexico”
Victor is awesome. You can hear how Cleetus had some fresh ideas and a sense of optimism after that first call
the reassurance of "nah it's a gust of wind, we built it hurricane proof"
That guy definitely knows his Supra’s. I’m glad him and Garret are friends honestly, because he convinced him how badass Supras are 😂 love seeing it on the channel.
As a Supra owner, this content makes me happy. Glad to see Cleetus enjoying Supras.
as a human with eyes, this video was
What kinda engine work does it take for a 2jz to make 1k hp
@@GeraldedwardKaiser quite a bit to make it reliable. Factory bottom ends are good for 800HP all day, problem is the modern turbo technology ramping in torque early in the power band. That's what caused the rods to let go moreso than the pistons. If you use an older turbo with a factory bottom end, they're good for 800HP all day long.
@@fordgt9t OK so which ones are best I know I've seen like vvt ge isn't it and another one I can't remember? The reason I'm asking I been thinking of getting one. And Thanks for the insight

Watching Cleetus keep that thing straight when the power kicks in so delicately shows how many drag strip runs he's made!!! Smooth as silk.
1:36 Paul is never getting in another car with Cleetus 😂
I got it 😂 I got it
Who even is that? Isn't that the guy Kyle gave a ride in the civic years ago. Why do I seem like the only one who doesn't know lol
@@UsaRubberPaul is the one who was in a couple helicopter training vids teaching cleet
@@illusive5811 Ya I thought he looked familiar. Lol so how did kyle know him so many years ago? I thought that video was taken in Colorado is that not the same guy? or just a doppleganger. Same facial expressions and reaction to the pull. No it's literally the same guy, same glasses and everything
These guys have always been funny, but I’ve noticed since George has been around it’s really helped out the whole crew to step up the comedy game!
Jeremy booting George is maybe the greatest thing to happen to the channel, right up there with the Freedom Factory
I wasn't the biggest fan at first but now I couldn't imagine the team without him, the whole team are legends but Cleetus, James & George are like the new Clarkson, Hammond & James to me with the chemistry and comedy
George is a G he is a perfect video commentator
George is just one of those people that bring out the best in those around them, treasure this type of person.
@@SmD-ff5xd Like 4 years ago I remember people commenting that hes obnoxious but im glad people have come around
I know not everyone is a Cleet fan, but the fact that this guy wrenchs, tunes, troubleshoots and races is awesome!
Guys a legend 👌🏻
And flies R/C and a Carbon Cub like he stole them! I owned a new 1st generation Supra and wished it had 50 more hp. 1,300? I would not be here writing this. 😵
Loved Paul's reaction. Went from "processing data" to sheer terror to "Whooooo yeah buddy!"
The more air and fuel there is in the spark gap, the more resistance it has electrically. So once it hits a given amount of airflow (boost and temp will affect it) the path of least resistance may be through a pinhole in the plug wires. Good find! Always refreshing when it ends up being something simple.
plug wires are so commercialised, easy to swap but who ever looks at the amount of copper in their wires and finds out half of it is just rubber insulation haha
@@drivenbullet260 yep, fuel is a conductor.
Should measure resistance in them, before and after..
I watched this 20 minutes ago but it’s okay I will watch it again lol
I got about 15 minutes into the video, wanted to give it a thumbs up and it says you cannot do this, and I'm like what the fuc so I turned it off to restart the video and the video gone but now it's back.😊😊😊😊
@@zevynozevyn4102Thank you so much for your not needed explanation.. it changed my life so much. I even told my whole family about it and they went and told the neighbors about it and it changed their life too.
Paul's reaction was awesome, he lost all his wrinkles when the boost hit and looked about 10 years younger haha
I'm so happy that the engines ok. I'm really emotionally attached to Cleet trying new stuff and liking it. I'm not a Supra or 2JZ fan or nothin but I like to believe that people can still put out a good product these days
Those guys are so used to big problems so they forgot those little ones they used to have 😂
Great take on it!
One time I checked everything trying to find a misfire. Then I shocked myself pretty good and that's how I found where my plug wire was bad. It was arcing inside the spark plug tube right before the plug.
@@badgermetal I had my buddy bring his Corvette over looking for a problem throwing a bunch of codes. Mechanic couldn't figure it out. It was getting dark out but I had him fire it up and noticed the problem right away. You could see the wire arcing right through the boot. It was insane because the wire looked perfect just like these ones. Put new wires on, cleared the codes and it ran perfect with no codes after that. The electronics on these modern cars really don't like those high voltages zipping all over.
@@bigduphusaj162he’s just that guy 😂😂
I already watched it all of it and I’m watching it again because cleetus brings that pressure even in the same video
Hahaha thanks man
lmao, DITTO yo ! hahahahaha
hahaha same here man
It was the best thing I have watched all day, once more can't hurt.
I can only imagine that HP in a smart car 🤔
It's funny, early in the video when y'all were discussing what could be the problem causing the jerky rpm curve on boost, I was thinking out loud that there was probably something wrong with either the coils, wires, or plugs.
Y'all went from thinking it was the fuel, to tune, to dead cylinder and so on. I was talking at my phone, hoping y'all could hear me, there's something wrong with the ignition system! 😂
Then y'all changed the wires out and made another pull. When I heard that engine smoothly reach peak power without a stutter or stumble, and saw Cleeter's hand fly up, I yelled "hell freaking yeah!" at my phone.
Good to see a cheap simple fix got the Supra back to normal. Such a sick car btw. Please don't break her. 😢
“Sleeper Supra”
Reminds me of the Louis CK bit “You think sharks would be embarrassed if they knew we could totally see their fin sticking out of the water?” 💀😂
Paul the helo instructor’s reaction was golden 😂 just because whenever we see him he’s usually so professional and composed.
He was throwing "bro" around like a highchooler that vapes! Lol
He was pissed haha
Makes me want to see Ruby back out. She used to do pretty awesome street hits

You should really look into getting a Hub Dyno setup considering the speed and power levels of the vehicles you are running these days. 1000hp+ at 200mph+ all relying on some straps to hold it back, terrifying! lol
They don’t have a need for it, most of their tuning is at the track. Doesn’t matter as much what the dyno says.
When they moved in there he had a hub on order. Not sure what happened with covid
@@davidreynolds731 Just think about the potential video, a car coming off and going through a wall would be great content! /s
Ehh hub dynos are a pain in the ass to set a car up on. They take up a ton of room. Someone already said they do most of their tuning at the track anyways. They also only use the dyno for their own shit, they're not trying to make money with it or a business out of it so I don't personally think it's worth the hassle and expense.
@@pastaalalamborghinilol what? They are not a pain to set up and they do not take up very much more space. A lot of hub dynos are roll aways as well. They adjust tunes at the track, 1200hp cars don't get tuned solely on the track. It was never their goal to make money on it either
Cleetus you should put a cage in that rat rod. Stay safe brother 😊
Hell Yeah Brother! Love listening to that 2J sing! Was going to say it sounded like spark issues, my previous Skyline had the same thing when under boost, ended up being a coil.
Glad it’s sorted! Keep er rippin 🎉
Changed pauls mind real quick 😂
I think Paul was frightened for a second. The man that flies helicopters like a wizard didn’t like going that fast on land. 😂
Cleet takes the street pulls a little too far tbh, that was probably around 150 on the street ... I'm comfortable with that if I'm driving. I do not like being a passenger at that speed on the street, I don't care who's driving
@@pastaalalamborghini I'm 50/50 split.... on one hand, Yes, that would scare the living shit out of me, and I'd prefer not to do dumb things that could risk my life... on the other hand, the guy(cleet) is a helluva driver, and I.... almost, again, I say almost... think I could put my faith and say, "hell yea, press the button!"
Think if it wasn't on cam or wasn't cleet and anyone else did that he would be pissed treating his safety like that
@@pastaalalamborghini I sure as fuck don't want other idiots doing 150 on the street that I'm also on. Cleetus or not, that shit belongs on a track. There's no excuse for this, content isn't worth some poor bastard's life if things don't go perfectly. Not okay with this shit, it pisses me off tbh

This Supra is something else probably the best content purchase ever
I love Leroy, Mullet, Ruby etc, been watching for years. But this is BY FAR my favorite car that you own
Same here man. Something about it
I’d really like to see project prime wrap it with a photo realistic corvette camouflage. That would make some heads explode 😂
It's been the greatest street car since The Fast and Furious exposed its potential to the masses. Imagine having this 9 second setup in the early 2000's, when 12's were still considered an ultra fast street car.🤯
Finally a guy in a lab coat I trust after last 3 years...Dr. Anti Lag is a true scholar
I bet you trust people who’s into healing crystals and whole foods 😂
My fav is when they start crying uncle like “ok” like to stop flooring it lol
Ever be in a car this nice with a paint job this clean?
“Yeah” 😂😂
Those plug wires might look fine but I bet if you measure the resistance of each one you'll find variations and probably a couple that are more than the others which is what was causing the break ups.
I was thinking the same thing, I would have metered them as soon as they came off the car. Also it could be the shielding, they are running some very strong coils. Or even the contacts at either end. Either way it's nice to see a cheap fix for once lol.
Man iv found some spark plugs with some really screwy resistance ratings on them. So I am all the spark plugs now. It could be as simple as a loose ground somewhere vibrations causing intermittent connection.
I have 1JZ-GTE and the ecm's have bleed due to capacitor issues.....
spark plug gaps has to be perfect.....
Wires......
Coil packs..... micro cracks ......
These are 99.9% of the issues
That was my problem with mine. Bad spark plug wires. But not before fixing the gap. Even a new wire was over 50ohms
I don't always listen to Cleeter's videos with the sound thru my 500 watt stereo.
BUT when I do, so do the neighbors!!!!
I would come over and talk about it!

Love the sound of a Supra!!! Thanks for another one guys. Keep up the good work.

Glad you took Paul for a ride, after all the helicopter vids i was hoping he would get a taste of ground speed

A throwback to the old days of Ruby chewing through junkyard engines in every video..
Cleetus - Dang!! A Certified Super Supra Indeed!!!! L-E-T-S F-R-I-C-K-I-N' GOOOOOO Dude!
That pull at the end was epic! Hit that button boy, Hit IT!!
Someone needs to teach Cletus to test plug wires with a multimeter.
Literally the easiest thing to test is to throw on a new set 😂
It wouldn’t hurt to check brand new wires when you get them and put them on, and that goes for all the vehicles in the shed! Just check resistance on them.
Y'all realize high voltage does crazy stuff and a multimeter alone can't check dielectric issues, correct?
@@lordcommander3224 A hundred bucks in wires, or a free test with a tool you ought to own anyhow. Ur call.
@@FU-Utubeyou are uneducated about multi meters. Ever heard of microfarads? Didn't think so.. now leave the electrical work to people with knowledge.

Something so simple and it's fixed! Good ole old school, 90s, cars!!!
I think the old fella on the second ride was the absolute best!!
I'm not a mechanic and have not even worked on a car for probably 10 years, but I knew that had to be spark... either plugs, wires, or coils. That is really the only thing that would give that shaky line like that. Most of the other things would either drop off or ramp slower... especially with good compression.
was trying to comment this exact thing when i got blocked out ...lol the first upload.....
Yeah I assumed spark blow out due to gap but yes deffinantly sounded like spark issue.
Lab scope fixes all of the guessing. Surprised more people don't use one
@@squirrelchaser I have not used a scope since college 35 years ago. I took a college class for automotives, but was never able to finish. They had an old Sun one. Very crude but it worked.
@toddabbott781 the scopes they have now are not even the close to the same game, the stuff you can do and see now it utterly astounding

More ride alongs. The reactions are priceless
Bro pauls reaction is too funny 😂😂😂
Ignition not keeping up with the tune up. Making 40 lbs of boost its very possible to be blowing the spark at high boost
When an old dude says "DAMN BRO!" ahaha nice one
Imagine having a “sleeper” with a parachute in the back 😂
Hey guys. Glad you found the minor issue. Personally, with boosted cars, I see the actual boots over the plugs fail to seal the spark to the plug ground. A little dielectric grease on the boots before you install them works wonders. Just my 2cents. Love your channel Cleet.
Gotta love the supra videos they have a special type of energy.😂
There pure animals I’d love to experience something like this 😅
LOL once that button was pushed. Supra said "Hold ON!"
Best line in the vid "I think they put a timer on the 2 step" LOL If They did that is fricken hilarious!
Thank you Cleetus for the great video. I was having a bad day all day. You put a smile on my face and made me laugh. You are the best.
Hey Cleetus at 13:36 when you start your test I can see coil pack #4 discharging to the head, is it blowing throwing the boot or is the coil pack bad?
Saw that too lol
Right under the extension, I noticed that too.
Coil is still making spark even though the plug is not in the cylinder , will go to earth wherever it can. That happened to be the path of least resistance lol
They took it out to do the compression test so its just making spark to whatever ground it can.
@@TBasianeyes I know how a compression test works. That spark jump happens when insulation breaks down.
Kind of wish you guys would put out a full movie.
1:49 Now that is one HAPPY man
