    Hi George, I like your videos. You make things look realistic, which is different from the toylike look of most narrow gauge layouts. You loco work is really good.

    • @GWilliamsonModels

      That’s good to know! Yes narrow gauge is quite often seen as toylike, not sure why that is. Seeing as the world around it (the rest of the layout) is the same as any other layout

    Autumn is the one season I've yet to model, so it's great to have a point of reference with your layout, George.
    Keep up the great work 👍.

    When gluing bits together on the work mat, put a piece of kitchen grease proof paper on it. I do this when using liquid plastic glue and evergreen styrene. When the glue has dried thoroughly the paper will peel away without having stuck to the mat.

      No problems credit where credit is due it's a great uplift to watch and listen to your videos, there is a lot of humour in there but I do think the crab helpers should do a health and safety course hi viz and all that (keep the safety monkeys happy) keep dancing

    Was really nice to see and chat with you at Nant Gwernol yesterday (30th October)
    I was sat in the train telling my brother about how good your layout is and you appeared, spooky! 😂

      Yes nice to see you too! I only walked up from Abergynolwyn to get some photos, so it was nice to catch you there

    Another inspiring video thanks George. I visited Nant gwernol a few weeks ago and think you’ve got the atmosphere about right, except for the trees! Which you did mention. Look forward to next video

    loving the hyper detailing !! You asked for feedback about autumnality ( is that a word? is now!) - and it hit me that you said its wet this time of year, but he scene looks bone dry. Add some dampness / make ground look wetter somehow? Just a thought - its splendid work you are doing

    • @GWilliamsonModels

      Cheers, yeah the ‘wet’ hasn’t been added yet, I’m still tested different techniques before I got for it 😅

    Oh, right ... 🦀 .... needed me specs for that one! Hey up George. That's some superb signage there. Love the pinkie look you're rocking this week. Will you be taking it to work? Thanks for another inspirational clip. 👍

    I like the term hyper-detailing; probably not one I would use about my own efforts. As for that Art Attack reference, you really need to go and watch a few old Blue Peter episodes who coined the phrase for a generation.

    • @GWilliamsonModels

      Ah yes I do remember blue Peter, was never a fan, probably why I thought of art attack first!

    George handrails are 1100 high rail below if required 550 on the level. 1000 /500 on the slope. Day job hope this helps.

    Sign, sign
    Everywhere a sign
    Blockin' out the scenery
    Breakin' my mind
    Do this, don't do that
    Can't you read the sign? 😊

  • @Madonsteamrailways

    Colours happen in any part of the country!! It’s autumn, isn’t it?!!

    • @GWilliamsonModels

      It’s very often incorrectly modelled, people think autumn and they think intense colours like in a painting. Which isn’t the case. It’s usually quite dull and brown in the UK

  • @roytait

    You make dull and muddy engrossing and clear.

  • @IronHorseRailways

    No Georgie boy! I don't think the wash was too dark though, maybe a tad? But - I think, if anything, you used a tad too much, and perhaps that's why it appears too dark for you? But I certainly wouldn't lose sleep over it!

    • @GWilliamsonModels

      Too be fair mate, it’s dried a lot better, even the thumbnail picture was still wet, so you’ll see it again next week

    Oh don’t get me started on autumnal colours of trees. I despise the quick fix that most people seem to go for that trees turn marvellous, vivid colours overnight. The simple truth is that they don’t. It’s a slower, uneven process. Splashes of colours appear in spots on the trees. I have a picture of a tree that has green leaves in the middle of the foliage, yet the outer leaves are the lovely browns, yellows and oranges. The colours of the leaves depend on the type of tree. It would be no good modelling a sycamore tree with the colour leaves of an oak for example… Across the road from me, in fact I’m looking at it as I type this, a birch tree has lost its leaves entirely, yet the sycamore (I think) in my yard still has almost all its leaves and won’t be bare until November. Autumn may be a time of great colours but you can have bare trees, autumnal trees, and green leafed trees right next to each other and it be totally accurate. I told you not to get me started on autumnal colours…😂

      It’s funny that people don’t model what’s there, more what they THINK is there. Cheers

    It looks a good system. However, I’m a disabled guy who is not really allowed to do things like that!!

    • @GWilliamsonModels

      It depends on the disability I guess, work within your capabilities. And the reality is that it was never intended to be an all accessible tourist attraction.
