How to stop rattling noise in car parcel shelf

Parcel shelf is rattling in my Kia Rio. Tried something to make it quiet. This is just a "proof of concept", I need to find a bit more elegant permanent solution.
I think either some strips of black fabric put in place with help of double sided tape, or perhaps cutting some rubber hose in U-shape, and put it to the lower edge of the parcel shelf, basically to put something softer between hard surfaces on parcel shelf and the side panels that hold it in place.
