    Thank you for posting I have built and posted videos my self on TH-cam and people really doubt this engine and I will hopefully have NA numbers soon. You guys inspired me to recreate this engine and has been a really cool project hoping I can meet you guys one day when I have my car fully built and complete!!❤

    It's all cool to see it getting more and more advanced, hopefully one day will see a 3 spark plug setup per rotor like 787b had, surely will help in terms of efficiency

    I have loved this idea since you started, I just had a idea watching your video. The new turbo smart straight gates off the peripial ports to give control to the extra exhaust flow or even to seperate twin turbo manifolds rx8 ports for small turbo and controlled exhaust gas turbine big turbo. I think this would suit this Frankenstein motor. With all the new tech they could open on exhaust gas back pressure.

    This build looks seriously cool. Having an option for a decent power RX8 is probably one of the platforms biggest shortcomings. Development like this will only serve to improve the platform as a whole. Thank you 🙏

      it was fully completed back in Dec. 2022 and we were told it’d be on the dyno in a week or so. The only development going on is luring in leaping before they look, bright green grasshoppers like yourself.

      @neversettle7666 I have no idea what that guys saying. Hope to get back on the project soon. Just lack of funds and time. The motor won a championship in Moto IQ touring. So we already know it works. But I do look forward to this one.

    Racers in Puerto Rico are gonna start experimenting with adding fuel through the Renesis exhaust ports and only using housing peripheral exhaust ports. So all three plates are gonna have fuel top and bottom and it will also lower housing peripheral exhaust temperatures. I strongly believe rotaries need fuel all over including spark plug side of engine through the plates. Good video.

    Cant wait to see it running dyno tuning Angel motorsports did one, hybrid but it only made 149+hp... 😢😢 hope it will make more than a stock rx8 13b renesis...

    A number of the video links are broken for me. The videos "Build video 2" through "Updates on Hybrid #5" give me the message "this video isn't available anymore". Also, what videos have the dyno sheets mentioned at 1:42?

    Been watching this since the aforementioned MotoIQ article was new. I'm that guy that commented on a previous video about my AE86 project that's very interested to see how the N/A results end up due to my own hybrid build, and I must say, if there was a shelf header, I would f@#$in' buy that shiz!
    That being said, I have the whole ass GSL-SE from bumper to bumper for parts, so I'm not limited to the RX8 motor mounts, so I guess I'm mostly just wondering how one merges all of that without negatively affecting scavenging, assuming that's even an issue.

    What's a rough cost if I had nothing or at least a stock rensesis laying around? I'd need GSLE housings, maybe pay to have RX8 rotors machined for RX7 apex seals, maybe a stud kit and the standard engine rebuild things like new bearings and gaskets. I really want to build a rensesis hybrid, an NA 3 rotor or turbo 2 rotor will be powerful enough.

    Hey Kyle. I talked to you at Sevenstock about this build and endurance racing, and you said the more proven combination would be a 13b 4 port. Do you do that kind of work, or do I need to go through DNA garage or someone else? Thanks.

    Hello Kyle, hope you are doing well. Excited for this build, I'm getting parts for mine. I have a question about intake manifold. What do you recommend? I'm going turbo and I'm worried about the integrity on the plastic upper intake manifold on high boost. Hoping to see a video about that. Thanks for all you do to keep our community strong.       i'm not sure how much more than this but they handle 12-14psi from no worries.

    Have a couple questions:
    1. Would it be possible to use a custom header plate that blocks the Renesis exhaust ports and only uses the GSLSE exhaust ports? As with some port work, we know these can flow plenty on their own.
    2. When moving to GSLSE housings, could FC turbo rotors be used in a Renesis engine to reduce compression ratio?

    Do you think a Gt35r turbo would work well with this setup? I’m currently using a t76 that I had laying around and I don’t even see boost until 4.5k

    So many people saying the hybrid running N/A don't make good power ? People are blocking of the renesis exhaust ports

    you know, I see a bunch of videos of hybrid Renesis, but not a single one showing a dyno or power estimates on a build like this, it would be fantastic if you were able to make a video showing the increases of a fully built renesis hybrid!

    What about the water jacket seals? Rx8 has the grooves in the housings and rx7 in the irons. How did you sealed the hybrid setup?

    I have a Renesis and I want to do this mod and put it in my AIRPLANE.
    With the added P port exhaust ports, does it really need the side ports? Also, a 2-port exhaust manifold would be a lot simpler than a 5.

    sorry if this is an obvious question but is the gslse/renesis hybrid generally only meant for making power in an rx8 setup? or am I missing the part that it could be better than a traditional form 13b-rew for an rx7 or other chassis build?

      i think this might be a top option for swaps. Especially outside of the box. Race cars or non-Mazda chassis. I've been considering it for a few 13b car projects. Its partly why we started working on the idea. How do we make the Renesis a good fun rotary for the RX8 or other projects...

    Could a hybrid be created using a Series 2 Renesis as the base? Is it no different to working with a Series 1 build or is there a showstopper (or even just caveats)? Leading questions as I have a S2 R3, and I am considering options for the future.

    hi, I am also very interested in this project, I asked you questions about other videos, but never got an answer.. and this time I'll be direct: how reliable is this build? We are registered on the same page of fb, (renesis rebuilders) and many users say that it is a failed project, especially leaving the engine na, for the management of the 6 exhaust doors... Can you confirm or deny? I ask you this, because I am very interested to making my engine hybrid aspirated, but I would like to be sure before spending my money... Thank you.

      Not sure. They bought it from Mazdatrix and the motor went to another customer.

    all this talk about the hybrid but yet no one is running it, there is so little information on what seems like a simple build, take a fresh renesis and slap gslse housings make a header and throw it in a chassis but no one has done it yet providing solid information and dyno numbers

      You will lose a lot of bottom end power for very little top gain I believe is the issue naturally aspirated… for turbo this is less of an issue, this is just from my limited research on the topic. There is so much witch craft involved like difference in port timing between old and new 13b it just hasn’t really justified or proven the results for the cost. Look into how a naturally aspirated v8 tuned length header system works and I believe this concept comes into play with so many options for the exhaust gases to escape.

      We have already done it. Just check the early videos. 400 plus at 12 to 14psi
