If you start learning an instrument at a young age, there’s a high chance you’ll have perfect pitch, and you can tell the name of a note from the sound without any reference.

Singers use vibrato when singing long held notes because it sounds better and protects their voice from damage. since all of these clips are of women holding notes for extended time, it makes sense that they would use vibrato.

I was just listening through the whistle tones and when it was Mariah Carey's turn, dude... I realised her voice is so round and sweet compared to the rest. Most of them sound either too sharp or kinda lifeless. I mean don't get me wrong they're all amazing to even be able to hit such high notes but Mariah's tone is just really beautiful. And not to mention dat vibrato on top of it!!! 👌👌👌

I'm jealous of Altos for 3 reasons.
1: Most of my friends are Altos, and the Sopranos are overly competitive.
2:It's a gorgeous part when done right.
3:Most of the songs I want to sing by guys are an instant no go for my range.

And Altos are jealous of Sopranos because they can belt high notes. That's pretty useful if you're out with friends and you're doing karaoke. At least, here in my country it is. I do love that I'm able to sing tenor parts and even some bass parts as well though so :3
