    It’s an unreal, difficult-to-grasp feeling to share this pudendal neuralgia healing update… as I think I may be healed? Or, at the very least, incredibly close to my total recovery.

    Thank you so much for the ongoing support during this incredibly challenging time in my life. I’ve so much I want to do to give back-to change the narrative surrounding healing pudendal neuralgia and nerve healing in general. Until then, please keep going and do not give up on your body’s ability to heal 🧡

      Hello Tori! Very happy and so encouraging to see someone who healed from PN, especially after all the negativity around that on the internet. I hope you're doing even better now!
      I would like to know if I need to find a pelvic Floor physical Therapist who's specialized in Pudendal Nerve? Or just a '' general '' pelvic floor physical therapist would be alright? Your PF Physical Therapist was specialized in PN?
      Thanks so much,

    Thanks for making this video. I'm a male dealing with pudendal neuralgia and the flare ups come every 6 months. It paralyzes my life. I've tried physical therapy but haven't seen any changes. It's so hard to manage and I panic sometimes when the flare ups last 4-6 weeks that they'll last forever. I have a demanding job and it limits how much I can produce. Thanks for sharing your story.

      What symptoms are you having? Try a pudendal nerve block, but it's got to be done by someone who is experienced, as it's easy to miss the nerve.

    Wish I could give you a celebratory hug or two. Been following you for quite a while. Been alone since losing my wife to brain cancer in March 2020 and spending a lot of time watching internet creators. Felt so much sympathy for your interrupted honeymoon. It's such an honor to be one of the creators you've gravitated towards during this time. My heart, thank you so much 🧡 it's such an interesting time - I've so much I want to create dedicated to pelvic pain/healing chronic pain/etc., but I also want to honor the requests I've gotten that fall on the broad spectrum of pelvic health (bladder/bowel/sexual health - esp. male sexual health, I've been bombarded with those requests). I'm sure I'll figure out how to balance/a flow with time and practice, and I also recognize that this "overwhelm"/shift in attention is a reflection of my healing, so I'm grateful for it while feeling overwhelmed by it! Anyway, thank you for your kind words, support, and for watching. It all means so much to me.

    I really like the cup analogy. I tend to get mad at my body when I have pelvic pain flare-ups because I feel like my body is falling short of perfect. Giving ourselves permission to have imperfect bodies is very freeing! Thanks for sharing your story. Watching your channel is very important to my healing.

      My heart, what an honor to be a part of your healing 🧡 and I understand. I sometimes get mad at mine, too - and I try not to fault myself for it. It's SO much easier said than done, and I think frustration is a natural part of non-linear healing, but I work on noticing the anger without judging myself, and trying to unpack it/meet with gratitude. I know that can sound "woo-woo" and unrealistic, but it helps me. Sending you an internet hug!

    I'm a recent subscriber. I can relate to what you went through and appreciate your thoughts and of wondering what the future may hold. I hurt my back and was told by the back specialist if I ever hurt it again I'd never work again, yikes. It took at least a year to heal. So I didn't work for a couple of years because of this fear. I got bored and continued working in physical type jobs but I'm always cautious of what I do when lifting. I still have some pain when bending and numbness down leg even many years later but have been able to work without issues. It's funny how fear can take hold and stop us from living. Be strong and get back to it, you will be ok.

    • @PelvicEmpowerment
      @PelvicEmpowerment  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you so much for your support, words of encouragement, and for sharing so openly about your own experience here - that all means a lot to me. The fear piece is funny... and the dance of learning how to trust your body and its signals again/where the actual (vs. fear-based) boundaries are - there's just so much more that lies beneath the surface of "recovering" with an injury like yours and mine. I'm so sorry you can relate to my experience, but I am SO happy that you've been able to return to a more physical job and have figured out how to manage/support yourself while lifting/engaging in certain movements. I'll be interested to see if I have any remaining symptoms when I get back to more intense activities - either way, I think there's something to be said for the relationship with those symptoms/how they affect day-to-day activities/how meaningful those activities are/etc., and I'm hopeful based on what you've shared that your relationship to those remaining symptoms is a healthy one, instead of an overbearing or overwhelming one. Anyway, thank you again so much for your comment and for subscribing - if you have any content suggestions, don't hesitate to request 🧡

    i’m feeling so relieved after seeing this video as all the internet says that its not reversible,
    i live in india where you can never find a physiotherapist who’s specialised in pelvic or pain management,
    i feel very depress all the time , dr is suggesting me nerve block but i want to try physiotherapy first but they’re saying you wont be able to tolerate the therapy unless you take nerve block , i am very very desperate to live without this pain,
    please share all the exercises you were performing from the beginning please please help me. please make more videos.
    thankyou for this

      The internet is, unfortunately, a mostly dark and hopeless place when it comes to healing PN. I hope to be one of the voices that changes that, but know that I'm not the only success story! I find this person's instagram very inspirational, and she has a lot of mind-boy resources all in one place that may be helpful: instagram.com/stayingstrong1587/
      I understand what you mean when you say you're feeling depressed all of the time/you're desperate to live without the pain. I felt that way myself - you are not alone, I think a lot of us feel that way during the experience. As for the nerve block - you can always get the nerve block later! You can try therapy first and see how you manage it. That'd be the least invasive order of events, and you can direct your care. Don't let a provider force you into something you don't want to do.
      As for my healing routine, remember that these exercises were tailored to me and my unique body - they may not be the right ones for you and that's okay! That said, that video is here: th-cam.com/video/r9ONp2o2atE/w-d-xo.html
      I am wishing you all of the best in your healing - don't give up 🧡

      thankyou so much for replying , i just followed her channel, I can’t find any pelvic physiotherapist in my country or even in my city, do you think any physiotherapist can help me with PN?
      my injuries was terrible and i probably have entrapment, do you think entrapment can also be healed??

    • @PelvicEmpowerment
      @PelvicEmpowerment  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@komaldhawan1558 I'm so sorry you're having such difficulty finding a pelvic PT. A more general orthopedic PT may be able to help you, but I think it really depends on the provider's understanding of nerves/nerve healing, the pelvis, and the pudenda nerve. I do think entrapment can be healed! True entrapment, pending on the severity/mechanism of injury, may be one of the scenarios where surgical intervention is more appropriate, but I think it REALLY depends on the person. Again, I wholeheartedly believe that mechanism of injury should guide interventions. I disagree with the "one size fits all" treatment approach currently implemented, at least here in the US.

My pudental nerve was damaged when because of sepsis caused by a simple hemorrhoid banding gone wrong , my rectum , anus , and sphincter muscle had to be surgically removed because of the sepsis. The wound opened 10 days after surgery while I was still in the hospital. It took 9 1/2 months of packing and unpacking by nurses coming to my house once I was released from rehabilitation, every other day. The wound finally closed at the end of November 2023 now I have adhesions with all of my nerves and trapped within them because instead of dissecting my nerves, the surgeon cut them. I am desperate to find relief because my life has been destroyed by this damage. It is my hope that by sharing knowledge and information and personally experience we could all find better ways to try to get our lives back. X

    Hi Mam , can tight pelvic floor affect lower back pain (lumbar,hip region)

    • @PelvicEmpowerment
      @PelvicEmpowerment  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, absolutely! That topic is actually on my requested video list - but the pelvic floor is intimately connected with the back and hips, and when the PF is dysfunctional, sometimes the back/hips compensate in ways that create pain!

      @@barruasifrahman920 I'm honored you'd ask, but I do not offer individualized medical advice on this platform. I can only encourage you to follow-up with a provider that you trust and seek out a pelvic PT or similar therapist in your area! I'm sorry I can't be more helpful, and I do wish you the best in your healing 🧡

    how can one differentiate between pudendal neuralgia or entrapment??
    if mri sees no entrapment?

    • @PelvicEmpowerment
      @PelvicEmpowerment  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's a really good question. I think mechanism of injury can be helpful to understand when it comes to ruling in/out entrapment. Entrapment means the nerve is compressed between two bodily structures - that usually happens from some sort of blunt force tra*ma or some sort of repetitive motion. Understanding HOW you got hurt can help your either support or detract from the entrapment hypothesis!

    Hi thank you for your videos. I am from Egypt 🇪🇬 doctors know very little about pudendal neuralgia. I fell down the floor 2 years ago on a sitting position and after 3 weeks I developed pain around vulva and during urination and I can't find a treatment 😑 and a week a go I found out that I have a desending pernium and rectocele I don't know if that stretch the nerve or I got entrapment from the fell down .iam thinking about the surgery 🤔 do you know any information about how it can help???I started physical therapy can this help???what kind of exercise can I practice to help me with pudendal neuralgia . The therapist know very little about my condition 😌 any information you can provide me with will help. Thank you so much 💓

      I have entrapped nerves also. My rectum anus and sphincter muscle had to be removed due to sepsis and I have terrible adhesions because of that and the nerves are trapped within it. I am currently looking into a DRG implant which stands for Dorsal Root Implant , to block the signals from the nerves to the brain. I am currently taking pain medicine and it helps, but it doesn’t help me get my life back. I can barely walk and cannot sit. I’m always available to talk if you would like. xx

    In the video you state that you injured your pudendal nerve "almost 2 years ago now", yet in this other video th-cam.com/video/45XZ0zbciVM/w-d-xo.html
    which you posted on the 6th of August 2021 you stated that you injured your pudendal nerve "almost a year and a half ago now". I am not one who enjoys being skeptical of people's healing stories, actually I find them really helpful, but how can you get things so wrong time wise? I mean, you either injured your pudendal nerve in 2019 or in 2021, and the fact that you get these dates SO mixed up, does really make me doubt your content, sorry.
