My sympathies to those stuck with Washington-Phoenix. My sympathies also go out to NYC & Pittsburgh who thanks to the archaic blackout rules of The NFL didn’t see this game either.
Usually in those days whenever San Francisco would lose it would either be a pretty big upset or it took a once-a-season type effort by the team that beat them. This one was different - this was a rare time where a team simply looked better than the 49ers, and it was also pretty obvious that the Cowboys hadn't even hit their stride yet.
Yeah, I actually thought the 49ers would overcome this year and win in the NFC championship game but Dallas was on another level and Johnson was calling that radio station telling the world they were going to win and go to the Super Bowl -- people were suggesting it would be close and Johnson was tired of people even suggesting such a thing. Jimmy Johnson had the Cowboys on a mental level which was beyond the game itself.
The Cowboys still showing the NFL why they were better than the 49ers even after the early Emmitt fumble. The Cowboys would win by a bigger margin later that season and showing why the 49ers had to upgrade in 1994 or get trounced again by the Cowboys.
Ironically Eric Davis would return an Aikman interception for a TD at the start of the following year's NFC Championship game. Almost from the same part of the field. It was also a better overall result for the niners.
My late brother Allen and my late Uncle Ned were at this game with me. Such a good time. Love and miss you both. Go Cowboys!!!!
Great Memories!!
May God Bless them both!!!
Go Cowboys!!!
Love these early 90s commercials, the best days.
Sweet W! Even in 2024 ... It still feels good
Thanks, huge game, great rivalry, Young was, be and always will be my idol. Amazing and unforgettable era.

30 + years ago this game was played

Terrific clarity for a 30 year old video.
I'm a niners fan I remember that and I was mad because I live in Maryland and i couldn't see that game

San fran won one in the regular season..plus again in the title game..morale boost
Achiva a car with some serious additude
It pains me to watch games like this knowing the Cowboys haven't made it to the Super bowl in 31 years . At least the 49ers have been to 3.
Pat summerall was the shit 👌
Imagine having to watch the Cardinals and redskins game cause the cowboys and 49ers were not in your viewing area.
People love to joke about John’s Madden’s man crush on Brett Favre. Remember he also had one on Steve Young!
Please tell me you have a nfl primetime from Oct 17 1993
Unfortunately, I don't think I have it.
Hey Donald take a look at Rice and Young's numbers after Montana left.
Ironically Eric Davis would return an Aikman interception for a TD at the start of the following year's NFC Championship game. Almost from the same part of the field. It was also a better overall result for the niners.
HOOP
everything about 1993 is a blur .... including this video. hearing Madden would be the only reason anyone should even care about this.
Rice was nothing without Montana. Young was extemely overatted. Better than anything from 2000 on, but still overrated.
Do you do drugs?
This is a wild take.
