Finally a review on this amazing plane! I have it and I have to say that I definitely enjoy having it :) Another amazing review from an amazing channel :)
Really enjoy your videos Osamah, great job, as always! Glad you are back again!!! i like when you always say... "take care of your self and each other and bye bye for now" in each of the videos :) Greetings from Argentina!!.
Absolutely love your channel. I purchased this plane based on your review and i'm very happy with it. Maybe the folks at Nimbus could provide a photo of the plane they used to model this aircraft. The model they used to create this aircraft probably exists somewhere I reckon.
quite a few of these planes fly in my region of the Caribbean, especially in Grenadines which mainly consisting of one-day tours of those smaller islands of the Caribbean. // I think one of those passengers look like me...hehe
Good review and I am surprised you rated it at 8,5 because of our PBR comments and the cockpit modelinng. Not a criticism of you its just that I pay attention to your reviews & I can tell when you don't like something w/o actually saying it :). Thanks my friend & I bought the Lancair Legacy off your review great AC thank you my friend for all that you do!
Hey there Rand, you are probably one of the few that pay attention to the details that I pay attention to in the video =) The aircraft is really fun to fly. The 3D modeling is very good, but not excellent in my view. Perhaps I was a bit lenient in my final score, but it is an extremely func aircraft to fly. I will making a head to head comparison of the TorqueSim version soon =)
That vibration that you noted is flutter, all piston and propeller aircrafts flutters but are inperceptible ,not so exagerated like that....Good fligth physics by the way!
I’m going to buy this over the Torque Sim because of the sounds. The Torque Sim is very quiet in engine sound where as if i was looking at the plane from outside with the Nimbus then the sound is really good. Also I’m definitely also buying the Nimbus Huey!
Any idea how this compares to the TorqueSim Islander on x-aviation? Great video as always. By the way, the passengers looked like a surly lot. I hope you greased it on.
I'm confused by the statement at 12:54 "You do feel its a fixed winged aircraft". I've never flown an X Plane airplane that felt like a helicopter. Not even sure that would be possible how X Plane works. Sorry, just seemed a bizzare statement in a review.
Q8pilot, I've finally got my frame rates where I want them. Now I'm trying to figure out how you got your sky colors and scene so bright? The colors look really real world. The colors look perfect
yes but do not have maintenance/wear hangar or damage if you don't fly it correctly or exceed the airplane parameters, the nimbus is alive, while the TS is just beauty, I own both. The Nimbus flight dynamics are really well done while the TS is more flat.
is that x codrs airport enhancement youre using? if so it looks really good and would love to see a review of it. there is nothing out there on yt currently too. looking forward to the comparison vid of the torque sim
I have the Torque-Sim version of this aircraft. Assuming you have tested both, wondering which one you think is better? BTW - when you were taxiing out, external shot showed passengers but no pilot. Did you get the pilot-less version made by Tesla? :>)
Hey Dennis, I have disabled pilot in external view while doing the review. As for the TorqueSim version, there will be a dedicated video for that soon =)
@@Q8Pilot I knew you had disabled the pilot, I was just attempting a bot of humor since it looked funny watching the airplane go by full of passengers but no pilot. There is such a big deal going on right now about driver-less cars. I wonder if there will be pilot-less airplanes. I could not remember how to activate the YT emoticons so sorry if I came across being serious. I will look forward to your review of the torque-sim version. I bought that one mostly because it came out first but certainly interested in your opinion as an expert on which one you prefer.
@@Q8Pilot Thank you very much. The more that I'm thinking about buying the Islander. Nimbus vs TorqueSim. Do you also plan to review TorqueSim BN-2 Islander ???
I just discover your channel and videos : excellent ! I subscribe. I have a question : I have bought this aircraft I like very well but I don't get to run it. I use a MAC /Big Sur. This aircraft is a ".app" and like the ATR-72 I have already bought, it doesn't work. I have this error message " Error while unzipping file/Users/michel/Desktop/X-Plane 11/Gizmo64.zip:destination folder/Users/michel/Desktop/X-Plane 11/Ressources/plugins does not exist or is not writable. The application will exist now". Could you give me a solution to fly these aircrafts ?
I will never buy any product of NIMBUS. Bought the Huey, because its VR ready, but it isn´t. Since Sep.2019(!) there is NO update for that, still in Version 1.0. Publishing WRONG specs and command it with "sorry, but we will fix it in the next update" sucks! No money back, nothing! They should sell cakes instead of flight models.

Let me just say that im a huge fan of your channel and i hope you continue to do this amazing reviews! Great Work

Well done, buddy.
Thanks a million Silvio!
Thank you, Osamah, always appreciated and best wishes from NZCH.
Thank you for your support over the year s Patrick, I really appreciate it!
Excellent review. As always! Glad you are back!
Thanks John, glad you enjoyed it =)

Well my friend, you know what I think about your reviews and videos... absolutely 5+ world-class.
Thank you so much Leif, I hope you enjoyed the formula 1 race =)

@@Q8Pilot OK willing to give it a chance :) at $34 it's reasonably priced
Ok BRO ya talked me into it! This Islander is a beauty. Great review! Close enough for me.
She is something special for sure.
@@Q8Pilot Do you prefer this one to the Torquesim version?
Great work👍 thank you very much for the review.
Thanks for watching my friend, glad you enjoyed it!

nice aircraft
Do you use a Honeycomb or a Warthog to control the aircraft? I think it’s very nice to have a good stick or yoke especially upon landing and flare!

Jay Smith I read in reddit from a person that owns both that at full price (they cost the same ) nimbus has better value
Jay Smith The Torquesim has compatibility for the GNT 750 which swung it for me.
I will be doing a head to head comparison soon. Stay tuned =)

Must have meant high wing

I will make a video soon on the latest addons I am using.
@@Q8Pilot very good👍looking forward to it. One of your plugins is x-camera. I see it on your channel. That was the reason for me to buy it.
How to buy one in XPLane?
Did you see TorqueSim Bn-2?
Yes
yes but do not have maintenance/wear hangar or damage if you don't fly it correctly or exceed the airplane parameters, the nimbus is alive, while the TS is just beauty, I own both. The Nimbus flight dynamics are really well done while the TS is more flat.

Not using xcoder enhancement here. Just ORBX.
@@Q8Pilot the scenery looks like a weird mix of enhanced default models lol. what scenery for meadows field were you using here?

Plane looks amazing. Thanks for the in-depth review. Always love your work.

Why is there no version of the movie with subtitles?
(I can't use the translate option) ;-(
I will enable it now

One of the best GA planes in my book especially growing up seeing this bird

Thanks and welcome to the channel. I am not familiar with MAC so you might want to reach out to the developer for support.
Imho i believe the PBR is actually better than the rest, again my opinion.
Was this done in the beta with Vulkan? It looks so smooth. Loving your videos btw!
Yes this was done on the latest beta 13 in Vulcan.
Another great vid Sam. Quite, pretty, reasonable, means average I take it? Thanks
Thanks Andy =)
This is nice, but I prefer the Torque Sim version of the Islander. Better sound and attention to details.
i wanna buy this Xplane 11 is on sale people go buy injoy
I don't trust those passengers you may have to go '7500'
=)
Bacana...

The outside looks great but the interior sucks. Very poor FS2004 quality.
The interior is not bad. Needs some work but looks good.
I think saying the interior is FS2004 quality is a little unfair. It's not even close to that bad.
