Listen, I know arteta fans are a little stupid, but it's quite plain to see that arteta believed they shouldve won the league, which is hilarious, given the amount of referee assistance they got last season. No one wants to admit it, but the league wanted arsenal to win last season. Without biased officiating, it's very likely arsenal wouldve finished with 15 points less.

This means Arteta is hopefully preparing to our LB, CB, 6 or 8 or both positions better with either one winger and a striker or two versatile wingers to play wide and through the middle. We must have an international in every position. Chelsea once had a captain in every position under Mourinho. This is the standard. This means Nketiah, ESR and Nelson must be sold or swapped for better future prospects!

- They never loose their players, while City keep loosing players. Bernado Silva and Julian Alvarez are apparently on the radar of European Giants. While Ederson is wanted at Saudi. While Arsenal players are not being targeted by PSG, Real Madrid, Barca or the Saudi clubs.

I don’t think they should sack him and he shouldn’t lose his job at Arsenal because Mikel Arteta has done a great job in getting them back to an elite level, but do we really need to have some conversations surrounding him assuming they fail to win a trophy again next season. They need to start winning trophies year in year out if people are to start taking them seriously because everyone sees them as a joke of a football club. In recent years they have been playing excellent football and have become a team that’s dangerous and can hurt you in different ways and that’s down to his coaching and ability to complement the players that he has at his disposal, at the end of the day, under him, they’ve only won 1 trophy in 4 years. During this period, Manchester City have been dominating English football winning 4 consecutive league titles in a row and won a treble 12 months ago, Manchester United Chelsea and Liverpool have all won trophies in different competitions over the years. Leicester City got relegated and then promoted back to the Premier League and they won a trophy 3 years ago, Manchester United’s worst ever season where Erik ten Hag was on the verge of getting sacked it ended with them winning a trophy. In the last 2 seasons they have been competing for the premier league title, in the 2022-23 season they were top of the table all season and didn’t end up winning the title and last season they were much closer than ever before to a league title as they had 89 points which would guarantee them the title in any other season with their points tally and won 14 of their last 16 games since January, won the most games they’ve ever won in a league season and had the best defensive record as well, had a chance to win the league on the final day of the season, but they didn’t win the league and that’s because of Manchester City’s ability to peak during the business end of the season and there were times where they weren’t at their best.
They have come so close but so far. If they didn’t lose to Aston Villa, they would’ve been premier league champions by now as they won all of their remaining games after that defeat. As good as they are, there’s still moments where they lack the mentality to win the premier league. It’s very clear that they need to strengthen the squad in a couple of areas as they could sign a striker winger CDM or another defender because this time around they can’t go another season without winning a trophy. Unfortunately in football, you don’t want to be known as a nearly team who always came so close as history only remembers the winners not a team that always finishes 2nd place and as great as it is playing slick attacking football and being on the front foot, at the end of the day football is also about winning trophies and this is what Arsenal have been lacking for years and Arteta needs to get this team across the finish line whether it’s in the premier league or the champions league.
