been binge watching your videos its nice to see good content, one thing i could recommend is some clip on show plates with the business name to put on customer cars, to protect the reg/info but also its good advertising for passers by and future customers. keep it up👍
I've done this a few times with the duel mass . I changed it with a solid flywheel on a few transit trucks and a diesel x type and never had a problem. Only cost £230 for all the parts. At the end of the day there old and coming to the end of their working life .
Wow you went all around the houses doing that 😂 the fuel tank doesn’t need taking off a transit and you only need to drop the back end down on the subframe
Couple of tips for the next. Get the front on ramps Take the rear sub frame bolts out but leave the fronts on a few threads. It leaves enough space to just get the box out, although I leave it resting on the sub frame and put the back on a stand or on the floor Leave the tank on Also leave the prop on at the diff And bleeding the clutch, attach a pipe to front left calliper and then to clutch and open both and slowly press brakes, it works a treat And if you ever do one on your own, balance it on a jack and get a ratchet strap to pull it all forward whilst guiding it with your other hand
Nice one mate, i didnt have that much luck with flywheel bolts. On my passat all twisted, had to cut the middle out with angle grinder… thats what happens when you drive with a knackered flywheel for years… it wasn’t fun and i hate working with the grinder
I've worked on Vans my whole life you took way too much off to do the gearbox.. Disconnect prop shop from gearbox slide it to one side remove exhaust back box and exhaust shield remove rear two subframe bolts and loosen the front two gives you enough room.
That’s great man. This is what I normally do too. Different variations in these vans though. I’m 1000000% sure that I would not have been able to move the gearbox if I don’t remove the tank. It was literally in the way. I know that the 2007-2009 version had smaller tank and is a little bit further back. This one wasn’t, unfortunately 😂 But that’s great man, thank you for the comment. When your insurance doesn’t wanna pay-out, you’ll defo lost your £1500 phone 😭. They want me to pay £850 to fix the screen so might as well get a new one 🤷🏽♂️

Find it surprising that you post videos doing general repairs on the road side which is illegal in uk as its an offence to run a business which carries out repairs to motor vehicles on the highway unless your not getting paid for it

Guys! As soon as you disconnect the drive shaft. Nothing is stopping the vehicle from rolling off the stands! You need some wheel chalks!
Or use the hand brake.

I thought this an all. I was laughing at the fuel tank on the floor. It’s quite painful. I change £750 and do a solid flywheel conversion.
