Am a Trinidadian and our guys played for PRIDE...We had nothing to prove so the pressure was never really on us. Weather the U.S has the most money, better facilities greater international rated players did not matter on the night. Team U.S.A didn't come to Trinidad looking like a team focused on winning or even getting that one point they so desperately needed to progress seems like they were more focused on the other results of the other matches and not the game at hand. They whopped our ass 2 -0 in June at home, and at that time young Pulisic was the hero scoring both goals, now almost all the U.S. fans hate him. Its heart breaking and sad day for U.S Soccer.
"Almost all the U.S. fans hate him, Pulisic" While I don't think that's true, and while I certainly HOPE thats not true, they are SURELY CAPABLE of that kind of stupidity. And no, I'm not talking about the election of Trump. I AM Talking about the MORONIC, Swift-boating, railroaded, mendacious hatred of Hillary Clinton.
I am from Argentina, and I think that money does not matter in football. That's why soccer is beautiful. Soccer is carried in the blood, in the soul. Finally they are eleven against eleven, simply, the best one wins and not necessarily the one with the most money.
T&T is not the worst team in the CONCACAF region, we were the worst in the Hex but the six best teams in the CONCACAF region were the ones which made it to the Hex. Once we get our administrative problems sorted out and play enough quality friendlies, T&T can be much better than we were in this latest Hex as we never really played to our full potential hence why we ended up last in the Hex.
I was going to say guess we overlooked US Virgin Islands British Virgin Islands Aruba Bermuda Barbados and multiple others are not in the region 🤣 trinidad is not the worst by a long shot
"We have Money, We have Resources, We have Population" What about Talent, Tenacity and Respect?? Seems y'all didn't have enough of that to begin with doesn't it?? Trinidad has sent teams to the World Cup Finals before. What made you guys think it was a walk in the park?? Seems as long as you guys intend to keep calling football soccer, America will continue to suck.
Akil Thompson exactly respect in particular us doesn't have that much talent they're not germany even Germany won't play any games with this much arrogance
Btw when did trinidad send teams to the world cup finals. What u smoking, ese. They might had send their team to the world cup before. But a final, what u smoking brah. Lmao
money resources and infrastructure is not enough.. A soccer team has to have heart and country and commitment & love for the sport. A soccer player has to have plenty of humility and less arrogance other wise the result will be disastrous.
The USA mens 4 by 400m relay team were beaten by guess who at the world championship.....trinidad and tobago. I dont hear them wineing...USA get over it and just try harder next time
Strange enough in front of a sold out home crowd back in (1989)Sunday 19th November when we played Team U.S.A... We lost 1-0 to the U.S......And in a stadium with hardly much fans Tuesday October 10th 2017.....{28YEARS} Later.... WE WON...... Great Job guys ''PRIDE & PASSION"......
3:50 "No stars and bars." Didn't know there were Italians who wished we still had the Confederacy, since they weren't here during the Civil War. Someone needs to show him what the American flag looks like.
I feel the ''ANGER & PAIN'' ... U.S soccer fans feel right now, because 28years ago in (1989) ''Trinidad &Tobago felt that same way it was the very same scenario with the U.S, was in we needed just a win or draw to qualify for the WORLD CUP 1990 in Italy and we lost 1-0 to the U.S
The worst team in the region? Are you sure? North American Zone (NAFU) Canada Mexico United States Central American Zone (UNCAF) Belize Costa Rica El Salvador Guatemala Honduras Nicaragua Panama Caribbean Zone (CFU) Anguilla Antigua and Barbuda Aruba Bahamas Barbados Bermuda Bonaire British Virgin Islands Cayman Islands Cuba Curaçao Dominica Dominican Republic French Guiana Grenada Guadeloupe Guyana Haiti Jamaica Martinique Montserrat Puerto Rico Saint Kitts and Nevis Saint Lucia Saint-Martin Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Sint Maarten Suriname Trinidad and Tobago Turks and Caicos Islands U.S. Virgin Islands
1982 A Little-Known University Stuns No. 1 Virginia. From Hawai Chaminade beat Virginia's Cavaliers ranked No 1 in the nation. The problem with the US men soccer is as follows: lax1 not sufficiently strict, severe, or careful. slack, slipshod, negligent, remiss, careless, heedless, unmindful, slapdash, offhand, casual; In soccer anything can happen, this is why soccer is a low scoring sport and surprises are abundant. You have to play soccer as if you are loosing, you have to run and fight for those balls as if it is the last 5 minutes of the game during the entire game otherwise you will put yourselves in the situation the USA men soccer found themselves.
I have never and will never understand why Americans called the beautiful game soccer. That's pathetic for a start. Everywhere in the world is called football. Am i the only 1 that sees that as an American way to unvalue the sport. Let's get real without even going into history because then u go on talking 4ever. Everything starts there because thats the American way to be ignorant and arrogant. No matter how much money u have in football, money doesnt win u trophies. Especially a world cup. Football Is about pride, is about going out on the pitch and sweating ur heart out for your nation. Americans think because they can be so good in other sports they can be good in football. There lies the problem, football is not about egos. Football is about teamwork. As long as Americans keep thinking they are going to coquer a sport with changing the name, arrogance and ego. Well there always going to fall short. Football is a religion, is passion, is a sport that unites countries. Is sad to see the potential this country has to be trown away like that. The media a certain people unvalue the sport and just looks at as a way to make money. As long as Americans keep calling the sport soccer they will always be nothing but ignorant to the sport.
Publius Maximus Manlius no sugar it's only u.s England calls the game football⚽ and 3 billion and more people calls it football so run along now dumb one and go play your Handegg🏈 I am french and for a fact I my country calls it football and most European countries calls it football
The last song tonight The simple answer, there are so many codes of football, such as association football, gridiron/american fooball, rugby union football, australian football, etc. typically if association football is the most popular form in your country, you will call it football, if it is not, you will call it soccer. Simple as that. Thats why some countries call it soccer, Canada and the US have gridiron football, Australia has australian football, Ireland has gaelic football, and South Africa, New Zealand and Japan have rugby union football. In most other countries on earth, association football is most popular, thus they call it football, meaning football will be the most common name. And why is looking at history being ignorant and arrogant, its the opposite. If you understand the history why, it becomes very clear. Other than that, I agree with you, its not about money, its about passion. And as long as money stays as the emphasis behind development of the sport, you will never go anywhere.
"We have Money, We have Resources, We have Population" Yaaaaaaaaaaah that doesn't quite cover it. Trinidads population is NOT EVEN half a percent of Americas GENEPOOL: 0.4% for every 435 Americans there's just ONE TRINIDADIAN. Trinidads GDP is HALF OF THAT, that is TWO-THOUSANDTH of America's GDP: 0.2% We're comparing countries here not dollars per PERSON. And let's not forget the YUUUUUUGE infrastructure you people have: thousands of schools, hundreds of competitions, 10s of thousands of coaches, trainers,
Trinidad aren't the worst in the region. There were five rounds. Trinidad made it to the fifth round. They're one of the six best teams in the region. Just worst in the final stage of the competition.
Yknow. Im not so sure why everyone gets so butthurt by the term Soccer. It's a derivative of the original name for "football" What does annoy me, is the need to call your six team final qualifying round the "Hex". Man that's corny.
Trinidad and Tobago is not the worst team. Expect the unexpected and learn from this and move on. The sad part is that we don't have a dog in the fight, and Pulisic will turn 24 in Qatar 2022. We will have an aging and hopefully well seasoned group of players. But the writing is on the wall, you cannot lose to anyone on your last game no matter the sport.
I am English and try losing to Iceland that was embarrassing. The FA has the most money, and the Premiership, the most rich and commercial league in the world. What happens, England loses every time in major tournaments. We are lucky to get out of our group each time.
Great Comment guy, Its so true to what you said i was actually was at that game and in my opinion Team U.S.A did not play like a unit focused on getting 3points or even that crucial 1point they so needed something was just missing from there game.
you're right. It has to have soul. Americans have no tradition in soccer. At school, only football (american), baseball, and basketball. There is no football at the base. If it were by population number, what to explain from India and China which has billions of inhabitants and zero world cup. If only for money because England has only one world cup since it spends millions and millions in its league? And what about the small island of Iceland, with less than 350,000 inhabitants, which made a beautiful Euro. The arguments of the Americans are faint.
So much re-structure is needed but there is hope...For example in US Soccer history only 3 American players have gone through the Juvenil Divisions (U17-19) in the challenging Academy system in Spain (the best development system in the world) and are now playing in 3rd Division National as Seniors: 18-yr old Ander Egiluz (CD Basconia), 20 yr old Mukwelle Akale (Villareal C), and 18 yr old Hayden Canizalez (UP Plasencia)...perhaps the '99-'97 age groups is what U.S. Soccer needs to invest on.
go find players in the ghettos of america. there is where you will find players with true talent n love for the sport but won't have a chance to showcase their skills due to them not having money to play in soccer academies. america needs to get rid of that bullshit pay to play. as you can see money won't get you into the world cup. 350 million people in the country and can't find 11 players to make it smh. time to clean the house in US soccer
Money and resources arent everything, I've seen so many videos of usmnt and their structure and tbh americans just dont get football, they dont understand the beautiful game, some fans understand but not the head, not the leadership, its all bout the money for them, all bout resources all bout how much of what you have. Its in the heart bruh, its the identity, you need to have a strong structure, strong leadership and strong heart, heart thats willing to leave everything on the field every week, and you think that coz of the money you will get it, nah bruh just nah
He literally said the same shit every radio show host said that didn't watch the game it was a unlucky own goal and a Unstoppable shot from mid this dude like two months late
Football or soccer for usa ,is about talent and good team work . Even in club level usa isnt that good and you can notice that in concachampions always mexican , costa rica ,Panama even honduras teams are the one that make it far in this tournament .
Not an American, but the US Men's Team have been in every World Cup from 1986 to 2014, their most recent outing in 2014 was their best as far as I can remember, their goalie at the time broke the WC record for most saves in a single match at 16 in a 2-1 loss vs Belgium in the Round of 16. It fell to sh!t after that. The US Women's Team OTOH is currently the World's #1, winning back to back in 2015, and... they lost to Sweden 3-0 in the 2020/2021 Olympic opener.
So i guess the worst team in the region is not Trinidad anymore.
Am a Trinidadian and our guys played for PRIDE...We had nothing to prove so the pressure was never really on us. I'm Trini too. This was crazy that U.S. lost when they could have got a draw and moved on.
Thanks for you Trinidad. You beat the worst team in the region
We don’t hate Pulisic
Kick their asses T&T
I am from Argentina, and I think that money does not matter in football. That's why soccer is beautiful. Soccer is carried in the blood, in the soul. Finally they are eleven against eleven, simply, the best one wins and not necessarily the one with the most money.
Martin salas tell that to psg,Real Madrid,Barcelona, man united, man city etc.money matter.
Madadona is a fat drug addict and Cristiano Ronald will always be better then messi and your country always choke finals Argentina suks big D
Peppita Chips Messi is better than Ronaldo, go home and cry about it cry me a river

Trinidad and Tobago remember the name
Barry Telesford now the question is can Trinidad and Tobago upgrade to go to 2022 Qatar
Seems like they forget in 2006
Drexel Joseph
Actually yes we can. Optimistism is there.
As a Mexican National Team fan, we know not to take Trinidad and Tobago lightly ever since the epic 4-4 tie in the Gold Cup.
Drexel Joseph the real question is can lame ass USA upgrade to Qatar World Cup 2022 hell no 🤣

Only in 2006. And the US usually beats them. Previous games were 4-0 and 2-0. That's why it should have been "a walk in the park."
Akil Thompson exactly respect in particular us doesn't have that much talent they're not germany even Germany won't play any games with this much arrogance
Respect's got nothing to do with it.
Btw when did trinidad send teams to the world cup finals. What u smoking, ese. They might had send their team to the world cup before. But a final, what u smoking brah. Lmao

Aye big up Trinidad and Tobago shows that God is on our side🇹🇹👏🏾🤣
TBH Trinidad has approximately 1.4 Million people, while Anaheim has less than 400K.
It was trumps fault lmao
Even the Russian went way ahead as a football team at the World Cup than the USA 🤣🤣🤣

Wait, isn’t the stars and bars the confederacy?
we ve got money resourses and population

HA HA HA HA! The US blows massive chunks!!
US just needed to win or draw. They could’ve still gotten through if Honduras and Panama lost if US couldn’t win. Guess luck wasn’t on your side
You also have got a Trinidadian opponent who is the caribbean superpower in football
You are right they played for a tied and that's what you get for playing defensive soccer...

the worst team in the region is Belize i believe....
US sucks at football, I mean "soccer"
But a terrible keeper. Anyway Trinidad can have prospects for AquaSport. And distant goal scoring.
Aquasports?? Must hurt you even SUCK at that. and.... AS IF distant goal scoring is a BAD thing, thats hilarious.
