- On the 27th of April 2022, a national holiday called Freedom Day in South Africa, Ceres Rail Company ran an excursion to the town of Ceres.
Following a 120 kilometre or so run on the Cape mainline from Cape Town, the Ceres branchline diverts off the mainline at Wolseley.
From Wolseley to Ceres, the old branchline passes through some of South Africa's most spectacular scenery, including 'Michell's Pass.'
Oil-burning class 19D No.3322 had the honours!
On the 18th - 19th June 2022, Stimela Photographic Events will be hosting'The Ceres Mountaineer,'a two-day photographic charter on the 26 km long branchline between Wolseley and Prince Alfred Hamlet, in the Western Cape.
