I’ve visited many Ferrari dealerships, all over the country. Wynn’s dealership was the ONLY one that demanded a ‘cover charge’ to set-foot inside the dealership. You could skip the cover-charge if you could provide the dealership ‘proof of ownership’ before your visit. I had a car at the time, but I wasn’t going to give Wynn-the-toolbag any of my time. He didn’t hate the car, but he’s somebody who doesn’t love cars so definitely couldn’t resist taking the profit. If Ferrari has to get people to sign an agreement to not sell their cars before they’re two years old that means the scarcity is artificial and that’s how they are creating it. All businesses make and sell as many widgets as they comfortably can, though for all goods and services in all unmanipulated markets buyers (not sellers) set prices. The buyer will offer a higher price if he perceives scarcity so that’s why Ferrari wants to make it look like there are more buyers then Ferraris…but how stupid would Ferrari be to not see to it that there are at least as many (plus more) Ferraris as buyers, duh lol. Putting it in a casino and charging cover is having his cake and eating it. And it’s more for his ego than particularly advantageous for Ferrari. I know there are people who will buy a Ferrari with a big win, and it probably does make sense to have a satellite dealership location next to the high limit room with a few new Ferraris that kind of customer might impulsively buy, because If there really was a Ferrari shortage the customer who’d be interested and could afford to gamble that big would already be in line/ready to order and give a deposit for his next one at another dealership. Ferrari shortage LMFAO yeah right there’s barely any actual automobile shortage even during a pandemic as production was halted specifically anticipating tanked demand.

@@drinkxyz David Lee was not sold an original allocation on an LaF from Ferrari. No automaker should be able to dictate to their customers what to do with THEIR cars.
@Samsonian Kind of true- a La Ferrari isn't an ordinary car; it comes with a loaded semi and a crew. It's not street legal, and in fact, you need to be a pretty dang good road course driver to push the car anywhere near its limit.

I worked in the car dealerships in the 80's Porsche, Audi, Jag. A customer came in for service with a new car, He replaced the nice leather seats with plastic in a black and white checkerboard pattern. In the boot was a cardboard box containing a suit exactly matching the seat print. And a machine gun. Everybody has their own thing I guess.

When you say “flip” .... I was thinking of flipping the car as in accident! 😂😂😂 I read somewhere a Japanese businessman bought a F-40 , test drove it on a race track, FLiPPED the car, walked away unscathed. He demanded that he have that exact same car... he said it saved his life and was the most fun to drive. So Ferrari repaired the car ( wing , paint , etc) sold it to him FULL price!
Another colorful Steve Wynn story (albeit unrelated to cars) is the time he accidentally punched a hole in his $100million Picasso. It was a $20million oops (2006).
@DC it's still a Picasso, so it's still worth a lot of money, but it costs a lot for an expert to repair the damage, and it reduces the value because it's now imperfect.
He actually ended up selling that Picasso for a lot more than he paid for it. Turns out Steve Wynn being someone famous who damaged a famous painting made it worth a whole lot more. He sold it for $155 million.
The MGM vs Wynn casinos in Boston is a great mafia and government corruption story. Wynn got an Encore in Boston and MGM got a casino 80 miles west of Boston. When it was supposed to be the other way around.
He probably said too much, whatever he is alluding to. Whatever he found, if he cleaned up the mess and helped make it go away, he is now an accessory to that crime...
The US and U.K, two countries with a 99.99% shared language. In the U.K if you flip a car, you roll it end to end or land it on it’s roof. I was waiting to hear about a big accident, where the F60 was flipped or rolled.
One if my favorite videos of yours. What I want to hear (not see) is a secret insider story - changed the voice and dark pics telling what has been 'reportedly' to be found in some Las Vegas Ferraris years ago. Title it "believe it or not - rumors and myths."
My take away is Ferrari schedules a "marketing meeting" as told in the story, and during this meeting brought up the sale of la ferrari. That would indicate they were not set on taking away the franchise prior to the meeting. What I'm more interested in knowing is what happened to their personal belongings after they were booted off the property? I mean you would assume those executives stayed at one of wynn's properties as guests given their partnership. Were they allowed to retrieve their items from the suites or was it more like "get outta here, we'll ship your leather goods back to Maranello!"
lol. I would also bet they had half full glasses of water not yet consumed at the meeting. Do you think they quickly drank them before leaving? Or do you think they left them half full?

Scotland Yard quote when investigating Wynn for a British gaming license:
"The sole purpose for Steve Wynn to be in Las Vegas is to launder money for the Genovese crime family of New York."
Or my business.
That’s insane it’s a keep the peasants out vibe. If I were to make a purchase it damn sure wouldn’t have been there.

@@dustinpomeroy8817 Man you must be the biggest sucker on the planet if you paid a cover fee to get in a junkyard! xD
Makes sense considering they probably don't want random blokes named Michael James coming in off the street to check their supercars out.
"I knew Mr. Wynn, servicing him, that he was great as long as it was on his terms. And if it wasn't something he didn't want, you weren't part of his life, business or personal. That's it, you're done. But you gotta respect a guy like that."

What I'm more interested in knowing is what happened to their personal belongings after they were booted off the property?
