Part of the charm of Prairie Village is that the residents are *not* all that wealthy. If they had more money it would probably be a less friendly place. 100K sounds about right to me, and that would include a lot of two-income households where spouses earn about 50K each. It is within reach of ordinary people if they are well-organized.

List the zip codes please. Photos of neighborhoods would be helpful.

All the money in the Kansas City area has gone to Johnson County, Ks.

Westwood still has police. Even though they’re close to areas experiencing high crime visible patrol acts as a deterrent.

So strange that the 5 worst were subdivisions in Missouri. The best weren't subdivisions. Just towns or cities. Overland Park is 75 square miles. All parts of the city are not equal. Very strange that you compared an area 75 square miles to areas that are probably 1 square mile.
Also, victim of a crime is pretty nebulous. What kind of crime? Murder, burglary, vandalism, police violence? An area with high murder rates shouldn't be listed next to an area with high vehicle break ins. They just aren't comparable. Not that either are desirable, but it should at least be weighted.

You may know a lot, but don't know about concealed carry laws. Missouri is permitless carry so no you don't have to have a permit in Missouri to carry a concealed handgun. Kansas is constitutional carry, also not permit required to carry a concealed handgun. A bit freer than Missouri, but the bottom line is no permit required in either state, there are some good reasons to have a permit in Missouri, but you can look those up. Also agree with the other commenter, what was #2?

Seems we missed that in the video #2 spot was Leawood. It's a nice area and very safe based on all the stats. Thanks for catching that Mike.

Hi 👋🏼 What would you recommend for a couple in their 20s looking to rent in a town with plenty of nature/trees, food options, and wont cost us an arm and a leg. It doesn't have to be the absolute cheapest places to live, but not the most expensive either 😂

You two are clearly not from Kansas City, Missouri, everything you talked about was in Kansas, Kansas, Kansas! If I was somebody coming to move to Kansas City, Missouri, and you sold me a house in Kansas, I’d be mad as hell. You guys didn’t talk about liberty Northland, Gladstone blue Springs independence, nothing on the Missouri side, you didn’t talk about Tiffany Springs, which is right next to Kansas City national Eric Kansas City international airport, you didn’t talk about none of that, strictly Kansas, which has nothing to do with Missouri and definitely not Kansas City Missouri.

Kcmo is full of crime. Most the office jobs, overall density and high incomes are in Johnson county Kansas where Overland Park and Olathe is.

    Low crime , in suburbs.
Kansas city MO. Has nice areas in the suburbs close to downtown. These guys went to areas we don't go to. Try Lenexa, Shawnee, Overlandpark, Leawood
