At first I thought that Becca was just that blonde chick from Goldolken University, but i think it could be the thing is crawling underneath Butcher's skin making him see Becca. But idk what it is.
Butcher has powers
I think both Butcher and his cancer got powers ,just like the old lady in diabolical, perhaps their powers even antagonize each other 😌
Homelander vs John
It wasn't until now that I realized Frenchie is the Gambit of this series. His current storyline reminds me of the whole morlock massacre thing.
Hughie didn’t give his dad v , his mom did , he decided against it . But his mom was eyeing the iv like a a lot
His mom is just hallucination lol
@@odimusdir9857 I didn’t think about this possibility. I don’t think this is true because he legitimately has no clue what his adult mother would look like.
@@odimusdir9857 no? She legit gave the nurse the ok to pull the plug
@@Diego-qi3flunreliable narrator.
My thoughts aswell
The Homelander scenes in this episode literally feels like a horror movie.
A modern take on the Frankenstein monster in this episode
Reminds me of Joker
Literally dude, imagine being in a room where you are full aware that you are going to die but not sure in which way, can't escape because the guy is a freakin supe with super senses hearing every door open and aware of attempts for escape. That's a freakin horror movie to me, or in fact worse
Why couldn't they show the whole thing taking place, is it because they thought it might be too gorey?
This episode was basically jigsaw
Bro kimiko getting blown in half by a grenade launcher was fuckin crazy but i gotta say homelander sounded a little bit like the joker when he was laughing at Marty
Very much got a T2 vibe from it.
i was NOT expecting to randomly see kimiko on the ground with every fking organ on the floor bro
@@helixzen neither was I but God damn this show is so fuckin good
So did Kimiko grow whole new legs that fast or stuck her legs back onto her torso? Haha
@@BlandTacoto regenerate that fast she took the old lower half and let it fuse back onto her upper body. I might be wrong, but that’s what it seems like happened from my off-screen head cannon.
Hughie didn't give his dad V, his mum did. She swiped it from his pocket and gave it to him when he was out of the room.
I too think that hughie's mom gave his dad the v but the main plot hole to me is how did she know hughie bought a v capsule.
@@zaydhilal026you didn’t see when she came in after he put it in his pocket she was suspicious of him. she then checked his coat after he went to get air found the v and went ahead with it
@@zaydhilal026 One possibility may be that, since she works for vought, she had the same idea as her son and that she had stolen V on her own, without knowing that her son also had V.
@@zaydhilal026 i find a blue vile of ooze on the ground and I don't immediately think "lemme put this in my husbands IV"
@@edd5883 bro i think you skipped the part where they mentioned she works for vought and also at this point in the show vought has been exposed, Everyone knows about compound v.
You forgot to mention how Homelander came out of his mom giving birth, killing her and the doctors. He was a baby floating with the umbilical cord still hanging and lazering the doctors.
That was referenced from the comics
Glad someone mentioned this. I think even New Rockstars missed that reference.
Glad someone mentioned this. I think even New Rockstars missed that reference.
@@marce.t8732to be fair that is a cool but forgetful fact, like how butcher killed rynn in the comic's
@@Afanof1 watch from Heavy Spoilers
My theory is that when Butcher took the V. It mutated his tumor to be a living parasite. Almost like a Venom situation.
I was also thinking it gave me Venom vibes. The scene itself reminded me of the Moon Knight show where he’d black out and back in. But the concept is screaming Venom, hopefully we’re able to see what he looks like when it’s in control, would be cool if it doesn’t kill him and we get to see him harness it.
Another random thought I had was if the same thing happened to Huggies dad, it would be cool if he and Butcher have some sort of hive mind, again similar to Marvel symbiotes. Doubt that would happen but it would be cool.
First( Logan+Superman )and now venom
What next Deadpool
Yeah, same here. The parasite fucked up Ezekiel to protect its host.
@@bullymaguire4431 I mean, Kimiko is basically Deadpool but prettier. And quieter.
Ain't no way you said she's prettier than ryan Reynolds@@silas777777
At 8:09 the pictures of Gen V characters disappears into a kind of "hole", which makes sense based on Tek Knight's little habit of getting into holes.
🍩
Yes that's why this series has no plot holes. Tek Knight fills them all.
I’m glad A-Trains redemption arc is going along well, and the fact that his greatest nemesis that he caused so much pain to in Hughie is reflecting that.
Saved him against Homelander and gave him the Compound V to revive his dad.
It’s likely get him killed in the process or he’ll end up barely surviving off the skin of his teeth, but it’s better that way than rotting under the glove of a malignant narcissist.
how do you redemption a killer of innocent people
@@DermotBrophyby realizing that anyone, even the worst people, can feel remorse for their actions and change
How is nobody talking about Butcher potentially having Victoria's and Marie's power, as he killed Hesekiel and confirmed to have taken Compound V?
I don't know. but Wtf whats that!?
not 100% sure but im pretty positive the powers he had under temp v are still what he would have under compound v, multiple doses doesnt change the power the character has however the cancer may have affected that as well.
I kind of wondered if Marie (rescued & secretly recruited by Mallory) or Neumann saved Butcher. Unless Butcher has an alternate personality now that he isn't aware of that has a variety of other powers.
In the comics the tumor becomes sentient
Homelander is the perfect heel to put it in wrestling terms, you love to hate him and you hate to love the mfer. He's like Triple H during the reign of terror or Edge circa 2006-2008
I'm so freaking impressed with the absolute QUALITY of the boys. Every aspect and detail they include.
I love the fact that we all know our political stands and have a good time watching a show about how stupid fascism and capitalism is.
Capitalism is great. It gave us this show
I thought it was pretty obvious Hughie didn’t give his dad the V. When he leaves the room his mum gives a strange look to where his jacket was like she knew something was on it. Wonder if there’s more to her story too.
I think Butcher's powers are actually transforming "Venom" style. God forbid that parasite takes over or spreads.
I fear that, echoing the Diabolical episode, it will eventually go out and evolve in a twisted venom-y clone of Butcher
Bro this is not the comics guys 😂😂😂
I'm SOOOOO ready to see Simon Pegg with superpowers!
I feel like thats where marie comes she will be one to save butcher by diver the v rather than to the parasite / tumour things.
I want to go wild with a theory. I think Hughie's mom did give the compound V to her husband, but it wasn't Hughie's but hers. She works for Vought and I think she is somehow related to Ashley.
I don't see why Ashley would be there just to shit and do nothing else. She knows where the compound V is and there are a few extra capsules missing.
A train might have delivered double doses for the same man without knowing it.
This would also leave a compound V up for grabs for someone of the boys or even just butcher in case he feels like he wants to enhance this weird thing that he has going on right now.
Wonderful episode.
Gotta wonder why Homelander didn't see those worms in Butchers body
He saw them but he wrongly assumed that Butcher had 6 months to live. Not the case.
Hughey did not give his dad the compound V. We've seen on 2 occasion Butcher steal something importan when in close proximity. The USB key from Hughey and the keys from Firecracker to her trailer. In the end we see Hugheys mom try to comfort him and he recoils from her touch when he comes back in with the coffee his dad wake up, indicating it was not he who did it. Unless of course she is a figment of his imagination
in the notes on prime it even states hugie didn't do it
How could Butcher have taken it? We saw Hughie with it in his hands afterwards.
Op never said he did@@graydenday3760
His mom, who works for Vought, gave it to him. He was waking up when the blue liquid aka compound V went into the IV drip
I doubt she is a figment of his imagination as they are already doing that with butcher and his dead wife. it would be dumb to have multiple people hallucinating family members. she also interacts with the doctors and nurses.
Why doesn’t Butcher tell Ryan about what Homelander did to Becca if he’s afraid that Ryan will end up being like Homelander? Ryan wouldn’t internalize any of Homelander’s bullshit if he knew he was a rapist.
maybe he doesn't want to make him feel bad because that's how he exists..
@@Urathenx But Becca loved him more than anything in the world and Ryan definitely knew that. I think that he probably has the inclination that his mother who was very sweet and stable would never have chosen to be with Homelander who kills without even caring.
@@Nightman221kThat would far too traumatic for a kid like Ryan and dangerous like crazy because it could push him over the edge
Plot armor
Good point. I totally forgot that Ryan is a product of rape. Maybe Butcher feels that he is still too young to process that kind of trauma.
I’m curious how Homelander, uh- terminating, the Bad Room scientists is going to impact Vought. They work on the company’s top shelf products
I’m really getting a kick out of all the people who just realized the political analogies in this show lol
Hughie didn't give his dad compound V.
His mom did.
Hughie's mom is a hallucination brought on by his tumor
@@yseson_ Man, are you being paid by someone to repeat this theory? You're under every comment copy pasting this argument.
@@Ali-bu6lo Who are you talking to?

Anthony starr absolutely crushes this episode best homelander ep yet imo definitely Emmy worthy
Will Ferrell is playing Coach Brink, Clancy Brown’s character from GEN V.
Nah Will Ferrell is playing Will Ferrell playing Coach Brink
@@soralchemist3337 ☝️what I meant 😸
I hadn't even thought of watching Gen V yet. But if Clancy Brown is in it, that shit's getting cued up.
@@blairhoughton7918it's a great show. I started out watching it like "oh it's just a bunch of spoiled college kids I won't care about" but I soon after got very invested in all of the characters
Starlights forehead and eyebrows are permanently fixed. They don't wrinkle no matter what emotion she's showing. It's affecting her acting.
Huh?
Best episode of s5 so far wish they actually showed homelander attacking the ppl instead of building it up for nothing. At first I felt bad for HL but they did say he could’ve broke out at anytime but he didn’t
they also said they hired the best psychologist in the world exactly for this, since they couldn't contain him physically, they literally brainwashed him on a psychological level
He may be physically powerful but his mind can be manipulated. I love that revelation. Bravo 👏
@@naturistfred so homelander is just weak minded and will always will be no matter what so in the end still his fault
1000 hit points for Ryan for the use of "bunghole!" Cornholio approves.
Jack Quaid as Hughie is so badass
12:57 in the Hebrew dub, firecracker told butcher to "talk like a human".
I wasn't sure about the first 3 episodes in terms of quality but by heck, they knocked it out of the park with this one! The pacing was fantastic
Homelander brain isn’t something new, Billy Butcher had a tendency breaking Homelander mentally
This is Anthony star episode..i was constantly avoiding screen whenever he was conversing with the scientists as if any moment he will laser the f## out my mobile screen LOL
Hughie's MOM gave his dad compound V. Hughie put the compound V in his coat pocket and put his coat on the chair. He then went outside and cried because he was making peace that his dad was dying, leaving the coat in the room with his mother. When he went back inside, his coat was laying across the foot of the bed. When the blue compound V was flowing through the IV, Hughie was surprised, but his mother was not, because she's the one who injected it. She's been working for Vought and sketchy all along.
Canadian lad also got the "who gave the dad the V" wrong too😂
So did Paul!😂😂 Men
Seriously it's like they aren't even watching. It was so obvious
Hughie’s mom gave his dad the V off camera. It all makes sense. She works for vought which allowed her to get the V and she didn’t seemed phased at all when Hughie’s dad started shaking but hughie seemed freaked out
screencrush makes really great tshirt design, that nirvana v diabolical shirt is genius
But which baby is it? From this show or the animated series?
Hughies fight scene was so surreal
I can't tell you how tense and uncomfortable I felt for those Scientists when Homelander showed up, and even more unnerved when he had that Fudgey The Whale cake.
Nxt episode: ``Be aware of the Jabberwock"
What does that mean?
Butcher becomes a creature like Jabberwock or something?
17:04 Homelander is a super hero!
Butcher has a Venom-style-symbiote inside of him?
MM mustache reminds me of Henry cavil's coverup stache in Justice League 😅
Antony Starr would make a great live action Joker.
*reverse flash
stop with the joker shit already
He’d make a better eobard thawne
Don't.
I think Ashley will be given some kind of chemical that will allow her to lactate and Homelander will get milk “straight from the source”.
What did you think of the episode?
It was great! Also I think his mom gave him the v, not Hughie
Hughie did not give his dad the V. You and Paul both made this mistake in your videos
Mocking the “conservative” right has been a highlight.
@@fruitloopdingisHughie's mom is totally a hallucination brought on by his temp V tumor, much like Becca and i wager Butcher's ex CIA friend
Butcher's &Hughie's temp V brain tumor hallucination is giving Fight Club vibes.
I called it last week, and I'm sticking to it, Hughies mom isn't even there
In the comics Hughie's Great Aunt had a giant tapeworm inside her, so that might be what's inside butcher since the showrunners do sometimes change things from the comics.
Ive been waiting for this all morning after i watched the episode 🎉❤😂
Maybe Starlights abortion is a reflection of the actresses real life plastic surgery, regarding people judging you by things they don't understand.
Hughie Didnt give his dad the V, HIS MOM DID, she saw it in his hand when she entered the room right before he put it in his pocket
Hughie is halucinating his mom, the doctors havent looked at her once while talking to them about the dad, and the whole shot of him losing the vial and his mom using it, is super dreamy which makes me thikk hughies brain made her do it
The comment section is giving a Fight Club spoiler as to who gave Huey's Dad the V-drug
Venom style tumor would be cool to see
I don’t think Hughie’s dad is gonna suffer the same fate as Butcher. Because he didn’t have cancer he had a stroke probably cause by a heart problem. I think the V should just give him powers.
Butcher's supercancer totally ripped that dude apart. It might even be intentionally appearing as his wife Legion style or maybe it's become a symbiote thing like Venom where Butcher's supercancer isn't powerful enough to live without a host, yet!
did any1 notice that homelander actor broke his accent during the marty scene, he said " um, the cake is melted, I'm afraid" in his normal new Zealand accent, man that caught me off guard
Nah you imagining things.
@@trackmarx420 yeah I am right, that was an accent slip
When Kimiko gets blown in half she has a tattoo on her back. You can only see it for like a second. Idk if it's the character or the actress, or if it's even related to the show.
I have a theory. They are going to use Sister Sage's brain regeneration to fix Butcher's and Hughie’s brain damage.
I love the meme going around of Captain America sitting on the backwards chair, and it says, "So... you've finally figured out The Boys is making fun of you." Hah hah hah hah hah! That they've just NOW figured that out after four seasons speaks volumes about their intelligence and comprehension.
Hughie didn’t give his dad Compound V, his mom did. He put the V back in his jacket pocket. Either his mom swiped the V from pocket or she a vile of V on her and gave it to his dad. It looked like Hughie was ready to accept that his dad was going to pass away and his mom took that feeling away from him.
It was very clear Huey decided not to give his dad v and was shocked when he popped up, really surprised y’all missed that.
This episode was hard to watch... While eating. Apparently I still haven't learned my lesson.
So I think Butcher's tumor is going to end up manifesting as an eldritch version of becca. I have a feeling that the hallucinations and his own memory will give the super tumor an identity. his visions are pushing him to save ryan, i think the tumor will eventually develop on its own and go on a warpath to save him.
Now that was fast
Thats 2 channels that say Hughie gave his dad compund V when it was his mom that did it.
How many ads would u like in the video?
Screencrush: yes.
I didn't get any. I think some of you just want to complain all the time.
@@Bodharasyou were lucky. I was literally getting them Like every 3 or 5 minutes.
I don't usually complain about ads, I'd just skip em or sometimes even let em playthrough but this video had just too much.
After this, I'm doing the Billy Madison "calling everyone I've wonged and apologizing" list
Why didn't Hughie give his Dad his leftover vial of Temp V? All the healing, none of the lifelong powers.
With all the horrible things that Homelander has done, this episode just shot up to the one of the best. Almost a Joker like aura. Love it.
Curtains and carpet 😂😂😂
Beard balms are really meant for longer lengths, as they encompass the benefits of oils (moisturization) and waxes (hold and styling definition)... your starter beard/bare stubble just needs a scant amount of oil.
Is it just me or does Homelander seem a little unhinged ?
😂you must be new to this series
Loved how they touched on postpartum depression.
Did you forget Ezekiel’s death
In the Boys comics, people who come back to life via Compound V, like Lamplighter, are basically zombies without the brain eating. They're gaunt, mindless, feces-smearing animals. I think that's what's going to happen to Hughie's dad. He's alive, but he's going to need constant diaper changing and round the clock care.
I’d love to see a whole episode on Sages ulterior motives!
GAH I DIDNT KNOW THE NEW EPISODE WAS OUT AND THAT DANG INTRO GOT ME SPOILed my own fault bc i love ur vids and clicked without thinking
Read the title genius
I loved this add with a little bit of the actual video in it
Personally i think homelander was fully justified this episode.
Homelander went full on joker laugh, so terrifying!
Gotta be honest really annoying how much you have to preface you don’t like politics so you don’t offend the snowflake conservatives with no media literacy
I wonder do they even actually watch this show. lol
That’s 2024 for you
He says it and they still wince and whine.
Did the writer not catch the fact that Hughie _did not_ give his dad the V? Mom nicked the V from his coat and administered it.
1:34 I am not sure that Huighie gave the V to his dad due to the shock on his face I think his mother used her connection with Vaught
So you didn’t watch the episode then because how could you be that blatantly lost or…. Dumb.
I think that bullies need to stfu and allow people to have an opinion without resorting to calling names
@@montezleamonte1445 see I was rite
I think Hughie's mom gave his dad the V. Hughie put the V in his coat pocket then put his coat on the chair and left the room. Later when he walks pack in his coat is on the bed and she looks at his dad like she is waiting for something
Why are people saying Hughies mom is a hallucination? Are y’all dumb? She’s literally interacting with doctors and lawyers, like she’s is so obviously real. Also it would be pretty weird to have both main characters hallucinating people. Billy is the only one hallucinating anything because he took more temp V than hughie AND this eps shows him taking even more in the flashback to try and save himself from the tumor. Clearly butchers “tumor” is causing his hallucinations. Hughies mom def had something weird going on with her but she absolutely 100% is a real person. ALSO she’s the one who have Hughies dad the V, Hughie decided agains it, and is clearly shocked when he sees the V in his iv and wakes up
All this and no mention of Butcher who might just have powers again after he blew that MF into pieces
Glad I didn't get far into the video before reading this, I was hoping that would be brought up.
I wish somethings from the boys was real, but seeing all the emotions with Hughie and his dad reminded me of my grandfather.
HUGHIE DID NOT GIVE HIS DAD THE COMPOUND V, THEY MADE IT VERY CLEAR IT FELL FROM HIS POCKET WHILE HE HELD HIS DADS HAND, AND WHEN HE WALKED AWAY HIS MOTHER PUT THE COMPOUND V IN THE IV. THIS IS WHY OTHER CHANNELS SAY SHUT UP RYAN!
Anyone else now think butcher is now the key to kill homelander? Like would be the most boys thing ever if he explodes himself with his new powers but also takes out homelander. Also why nobody talking about that scene
If this show isn't a giant middle finger to the right wing then I don't know what is.
They straight up mock their hypocrisy, call out their racism and crap on their ideology and the talking heads who parrot their dumb talking points.
This is why they're so angry, they hadn't realized that they were the villains and had to be shown how absolutely unhinged they are.
This season is amazing and i'm excited for the next episodes.
1:31 Hughie isn't the one who have him the V. It was his mom... who's employed by Vought.
Victoria Neuman was adopted by Stan Edgar because of her powers, Marie Mouroe is the main character of Gen-V and they made sure to say she was very special because of her powers, Butcher displayed similar powers when killing Ezikiel, and Cindy also displayed similar powers and was made to be a very important character which they are strategically keeping hidden by not mentioning her in the entirety of the third season. Following the idea of what you said regarding Diabolical, these people are the catalysts for the Hivemind because they have control over the blood stream of anyone, therefore direct control over Compound V. And another theory I have is that the reason Victoria hasn't popped Homelander's head yet, isn't because she can't do it, but because he will be the host body for this Hivemind.
On the subject of voluntary lobotomies, don't forget Homer Simpson having the crayon removed from his nose/brain. And then he put it back in when he realised how much being smart sucked.
It was obvious Hughie didn’t give his dad the V. He was genuinely so surprised, and his mom was being VERY sus and calm
Two weeks without mentioning that Will Ferrell is playing Brink from Gen V!
1:30 He didn't give it to him, his mother did. Either she had some of her own, she worked for vaught, who knows if she was giving the whole story, she took it out of Hughies pocket and knew what to do, or I thought Hughie put the bottle in his dads hand and left it there, and his mom found it when he got up and gave it to him. In any case, Hughie didn't give it to him, his mom did.
13:45 "What more proof could you possibly nEEEEEEEEd" was way to funny to me
How do you know he gave his dad the V? They didn’t show it and he was surprise when he saw his dad wake up.
His mom did it while he stepped out to get coffee ☕️
I guess Houghie’s dad is gonna wake up go down to the Winchester have a pint and wait for all this to blow over
