    I think you may want to put a protective layer of , say, tar paper between the concrete and the joist end to avoid more rot. Unless the wood is pressure treated or painted. Nice vid.

    There is definitely something about the way Joel explains things that is not superfluous. I’m enjoying learning from all of these videos. We just purchased our first home last summer and I’m itching to work on more than just the typical hanging of pictures and painting of walls. The knowledge that you are sharing here Joel is giving me a lot of confidence to just get at it.
    Would love to see more of these practical home remodel videos as well as any wisdom you can share about lawn care and exterior maintenance.
    Thank you!

    You have made such great progress on this house and you can really see the labor you are putting in. In regards to the positive Meth testing have you found any thing that you have to specially dispose off or have a specialized team come to remove. In today’s vlog “seven years bad luck” was there drug paraphernalia (syringes) in the dump trailer? I was curious as how you would go in removing such items? Anyway love the work you are doing, we are currently renovating our laundry and your videos keep us inspired.

    how do you space 4 screws 2 inches apart on an 8 inch wide board? Im pretty sure i only saw you drill in 3. You COULD drill screws at 1, 3, 5 and 7 inches but I think i saw you start at 2 inches and then only put in 3 screws.
    The reason i felt the need to call this out is because you instructed the viewers twice that you need 4 screws or nails per 8 inch board and then you only put in 3 both times. I dont understand how you can do that 2 times and not catch it. All the 8 inch boards you install seem to have 3 per when i rewatch it closely.

    • @TodaysTask
      @TodaysTask  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      1,3,5,7 spacing is correct, I may not have shown all 4 screws but they are there. Great catch.
