Thank you for your honesty and insights into a trip like this, a few point you wouldn't think of - the toll on your body, your thought process of the car rattling apart. Over complicating meals. Would love to see what went into the planning. Thank you for sharing!!!!
I am going to be doing a fifth episode where I will do a full rundown about the vehicle the planning process and also lesson learned thanks so much for watching
@@MightyOverlander I've got one Mighty JB74 standing just outside in the garage, and I just loving it! Earlier this year, my brother and I went around the Baltic sea and the Jimny just did everything right. Perfect for adventures and it fits anywhere. Take care down under 👍🍻
With you going on about fatigue, I know it's a real thing, but it makes me worried about my next planned trip. Will be 8 weeks on the road with big days. But have planned in rest days. Thanks for the content.
Thanks! Some say it’s the best beard in the world. I personally don’t read into the hype. I mean it was nice just to be nominated but hey you get what you can AIR!
Awesome Tony. Great trip, loved the footage and the effort you put in. Mate check out the hotrod briquettes or similar. I’ll carry a couple of bags and some fire lighters. Sometimes you just want to cook without the hassle of getting a fire going. Once these things are going you can cook a bbq, roast - anything. I know space is a premium but if you want a quick and reliable way of getting a furnace going these are bloody awesome. Safe travels mate, love the channel💪. Chris
Hey Chris! Yeah I wasn’t sure if I was going to add that little piece at the end. It was mainly coming from the experience of a trip like that added in with all the filming work. I will 100% check out those suggestions thanks heaps! In the future I need to just re-evaluate my meal plan knowing there may be “high tempo low energy” periods where an easy meal prep option is a must!
Gotta say mate, you were starting to look very weary. I know from experience how tired you can get just doing long distances in a nice comfortable car, yet alone in a vehicle getting bounced around constantly. Had to laugh at the getting up at 5 comment. Bloody stokers, lol. Honestly mate, absolutely loving what you are putting out there, and so refreshing to see a 4WD'er who looks knackered at the end of the day. Too many make it all look like it's beer and skittles all the way. Dehydrated meals are a godsend when camping. They are simple, nutritious, take up less space and less weight and are quick to prepare. I saw you had a vacuum sealing unit, get yourself a dehydrator too and you can dry out stuff like tomatoes, mushrooms, onions etc, seal them and then just add water when needed. All the prep work can be done at home before leaving. The other thing is to remember to snack when driving. Things like trail mix and lollies can help keep blood sugar levels up and stave off fatigue. Keep up the good work Tony and looking forward to the next couple of instalments.
Hey Mate! That’s one of the things I really wanted show in this series is not just the fun stuff but the real side of this kind of expedition. You’re 100% right, too many 4x4 shows make it all look like gummy drops and rainbows. Lots more planned over the summer. Next episode will end the trip then a 5th wrap up episode two weeks after that wraps up 2022 with a little gear review video mixed in there. But after that it’s cracking straight into the 2023 with a kayak camping expedition! Stoked you’re enjoying the content!
what sorta speed you sittin on when driving Gunbarrell mate? Also, after such a long drive to get to Alice, i assume you just took the main highways home again to Perth?

Gday mate. Once we left Carnegie Station we were suiting on about 15-20kmph. It was slow going. And yeah the great central road on the way home
