I share so many of these posts with my Wriiters/Actors group and ecourage them to subscribe as I have. This one in particular hits a number of points that will resonate with some of the writers in the group.
When do I know when I have a concept I think is worth spending 3 months to write abouttttttt. Thinking practically has somewhat killed my creativity.. 😢
Ask some friends/family. Then just spend a couple days to write 1-10 pages and see how it goes. If you're confident, keep going. If not, go in a different direction. You can always come back to it later.

some want to make money but if that's the only reason, you won't get that far. I prefer to do it because storytelling is more important.

Can your target audience be broader, such as: "People who love fantasy adventures?"
