I read Beasts of a Little Land in January and I think it's probably one of my favorite books of all time now. It's so so good and the characters are so dynamic and I loved them so much. It's devastating in the best way possible and I've been thinking about it since I finished it

aaah the cardigan! 🥺💗 the edition of the moomin book you got is so lovely! and the order def doesn’t matter though they do sometimes call back to the other books but nothing that can’t be understood. it’s fun to pair each book with the corresponding episodes (of the 90s series anyway) because they each give off a different size of “cozy” and i love it 🥰 omg i just finished brown girls the other day and it was the most personal reading experience i’ve ever had. never have i had a book reflect my life and growing up and coming of age so accurately and precisely, that i was in something of a haze after reading it. the first person plural choice was such a good idea; i kept reading it through the eyes of all the girls i grew up with and it was just. i cant even put it into words 😭 i hope you enjoy it!! 💗

also i'm currently listening to raybearer and although a little slow, it is so good! the narrator is also wonderful to listen to. it is such a well written, descriptive book
Definitely adding most of these to my tbr! I read winter in sokcho in December, and while I did enjoy it, I wish I looked at trigger warnings beforehand 😂 it was a lot more darker/intense than I expected

I just finished up Tower by Bae Myung-Hoon and would love to hear your thoughts. It’s sci-fi but like quirky and almost close to real world (and def gives off some capitalist commentary vibes). Also also I read Emma back in like legit 2008 and it changed me - it was my OG anime/manga gateway! I am sure it has its moments but I hope you love it! 💜
