I've struggled for years getting back into reading (love when school killed your love of books) but I read Cemetery Boys by Aiden Thomas in a day when I got it. I reread it constantly and has become my comfort story
My favorites were Fangs by Sarah Andersen, The Final Girls Support Group, A Man Called Ove, Dear Sweet Pea, Lock Every Door, Memoirs of An Imaginary Friend, Craven Manor, and Just Mercy. Had a lot of 4.5 stars in 2021 as well! Thank you for sharing yours. Some are on my list and the others I will have to look into.
I started reading the Grishaverse books in 2021 because of you, and I'm so glad I did! I actually didn't begin reading them until November, but now I'm already on King of Scars and absolutely loving it.
The Memory Theater sounds amazing ! I love your videos so much. My favorite 2021 books were Gideon the Ninth and the graphic novel The Magic Fish! The latter is truly, truly beautiful.
I read the Caraval series and I'v never read a set of books so fast in my life! I know a book is good when I get upset that I have to put it down! Caraval was just incredible!
My favorite book this year was A Psalm for the Wild-Built by Becky Chambers! I can't remember if you've read it, but if you haven't, I really do think you'd like it :)
I am SO excited for June Hur's other books! I own The Forest of Stolen Girls and am waiting on my copy of The Red Palace, can't wait to read both!! My top 3 books of the year: -Amber & Clay by Laura Amy Schlitz - gorgeous novel in verse set in ancient Greece, amazing writing and character development, really clever structure, and I love that Hermes is one of the narrators! -Half a Soul / Ten Thousand Stitches by Olivia Atwater (counting as one bc it's in the same series! lol) - historical fantasy with nuanced, compassionate, clever women MCs whom I adore, great romance subplots, and a huge focus on the necessity of justified anger (in book 2, especially from women!!) and its ability to do good in the world which I LOVE -Little Thieves by Margaret Owen - fantastic writing + world + use of folklore, MC archetype I don't often like but I love here, amazing side characters, wonderful romance, beautifully explored themes of trauma and healing, and gripping plot
I didn't get to read as much as I hoped this year, but my favorites would have to be I'll Be the One by Lyla Lee and of course the Six of Crows duology by Leigh Bardugo that I finally read at the beginning of this year.

Legendborn and the Nevermoor were on my radar but I didn't have a clear idea of the sinopsis until now, so I'll be testing the first chapters for sure. Also, as always, you look like a fairy. My top 5 favourites I think are The City of Brass series (just fell head over heels for the Djinn world, characters and political fantasy) , Piranesi, The Secret History, Pachinko and The House of Earth and Blood. Favourite audiobooks of the year : The Thursday Murder Club series. They are read so well! I don’t think I’d have fallen in love with the characters as much if I’d read it myself.
i wasn’t able to read a ton in 2021, but my favorite book i read was definitely lizard by banana yoshimoto. it’s a collection of short stories that are almost all magical realism. each story was so interesting, but the last in the collection was by far my favorite.

SO I didn't read a ton of books and they are both pretty well known but my 2 fav books were House of Earth and Blood by Sara J Mass and Apples Never Fall by Liane Moriarty. I used to listen to Audio books a lot but since I don't work a desk job anymore I haven't listened to audio books in awhile. Also until fairly recently I found I was having a hard time reading. I couldn't read more then 2 pages of a book without getting bored. I'm so glad I'm back to my reading self. I can't wait to read some of these books you've mentioned! I can see my tbr list getting too long (I'm a slow reader) XD. I'm super excited for the next book in the Crecent City series (the Sara J Mass book) to come out in Feb!

RULE OF WOLVES ❤️💕 I thought I was going to absolutely hate it until the lil plot twist because I thought LB did a character really dirty 😬 and alot of the reviews were negative and I can see how the story may have dragged on for some people but I'm not mad 🤷
