I really hate that those folks messed it up for the rest of us I loved the transparency of this channel. Being a beginner soaper I appreciate this channel so much and understand why certain things are now going to be more private. Creativity is key people don’t cheat yourself by stealing ideas. Thanks Lady J for all you do !

Can relate..but I won't give up!. As Jerika said in one video.. don't expect to have regular sales that quick. It took her 3 years to get to that. I'm not even doing CP yet as I don't have the right conditions for now... but I know I'll get there..!!! Good luck to all of us ....🍀

I am a beginner an I love the Heat Transfer Method and its the only method that has worked for me. It gives you more time to do what you want to do with the soap. It is the best way for me and I think it should be for beginners because I kept trying to soap and wait for the lye to cool while babysitting the lye and it never worked for me but once. I ended up with on a stick so many times I almost gave up soap making because I just thought I was so bad at it. I promise you it is the easiest way. As a beginner Im saying this. I truly believe it should be taught as a beginner step. I find that even with frag or ess oils that accelerate it works the best. It is a faster process and easier and I don't understand why they tell people you need to be more of an advanced soaper. It may be a myth because I have studied and watched thousands of utube videos and there are people out there who will lie to you about ingredients. I will try someone elses recipe to see if it works an if it does I will make it my own, meaning I will change it to my liking and the ing I like. I have learned to take advice from creditable honest people. Also, I find that if someone is doing a DYI an they will not give me information or a recipe or some advice I will not subscribe and I will not look them up on etsy or their websites. Its people like yourself that I subscribe too because you give great advice and you share on how to do certain things and how to set up for markets. All of that is a big deal to people who are watching DYI's!

Jerika! I am addicted to the heat transfer method. It’s a lot easier than it seems. My only thing is once everything is combined, the soap mixture only gets as low as 110 Fahrenheit but you never stop learning soap making! Would love to see you do a video of trying it!! 💕

  • @rlpittard

Could try doing 50% ice when making your lye solution. :) It will automatically lower the temp to around 100/110ish instead of 200, so there is less wait time for the solution to cool to the same temps as your oils.

Love ur video first timer on it channel .. I started making soaps as a hobby because my grandson is gluten free but as a 3 year old it's tough keeping bread out of his mouth lol .. surprising to me I bought a few to my job with tumeric soap etc n it was a hit so now I started my own business 8 mths ago n have a store online .. I make body butters , chap sticks , soaps , scrubs etc .. at first it started of slow n I should be pushing my business more but I also work fulltime .. to the ones who is having a hard time don't give him keep marketing n pushing it products.. it's tough but u can do it ...

Have you ever tried soaping at room temp? It was a game changer for me. I spend a day making all my lye solution and weighing and melting all my oils so I don't have to spend time waiting for anything to cool. The day I make soap I can just go from one batch to the next. I usually just have to pop my oil container in the microwave for like 20 seconds, it doesn't get totally hard because of all the liquid oils mixed in. My lye and oils are usually anywhere from 70-80 degrees depending on the time of year. It also helps keep your batter fluid longer which can really help with scents that tend toward acceleration. Your lemon shandy soap turned out beautiful!

Jerika, I know this is totally random but I remember you mentioned your microwave shuts off every 30 seconds. Ours did also..... It's a small inexpensive part to fix it. The Damper Motor needs to be replaced. It's a $22 dollar small part. We fix ours and microwave works like a champ 😉

Goodmorning from Milwaukee, WI. I just have to tell you how much you have inspired me and my desire to create soap. I have been afraid to try swirls or colors but I think I have to just pay attention to the trace. I wish it was a way I could show you how my soaps come out but last night I made a soap using infused turmeric powder in olive oil. It turned a bright orange or rust color. I am excited to see the cut cause I tried using titanium dioxide. I am so happy to venture out on this journey I have made soap for about a year now and have sold some and I know if I do other designs it will catch attention. I am looking to try and activated charcoal soap next🤞. Have a wonderful day and thank you again for not letting this past incident keep you from continuing to inspire❤️

If u wanna speed up ur lye and knock out the lye fumes freeze ur distilled water. I put mine in ice cube trays pop them out n put them in a freezer bad. When u need them u weigh them and then sprinkle the lye in a lil at a time while mixing and stir till ice is melted and the lye is dissolved and let it sit for 10 minutes and it’s ready to use.

Love this Jerika!! I've seen the heat transfer method in Ophelia's Soapery videos but it seems the last few months she no longer does that. Her or Holly at Missouri River soaps? Is it one of them?? There are a few others I've watched but they seem to be over the top extrovert and I just can't watch that! So glad you are keeping some info proprietary as you have done the work and they are your intellectual property. These videos are great and you give recipes already, so no need to share every detail:) At some point you may want to talk to your CPA about the value of your intellectual property on your balance sheet! Just a suggestion.....

Your soap making process is so amazing and your soap is beautiful. What size mold did you use and where can I find one? What about the cutter?

Not holly, it’s Katie’s royalty soaps release, but holly may be next!

Can this recipe be cut down into 1pd by just dividing the ingredients?

Jerika I love your videos, and your husband is great, please can you tell me how much lemongrass essential oil/Fragrance oil are you using in each container?

I noticed you added what looks like kaolin clay to your mix, please could you say how much you use? Your soap looks gorgeous by the way.

Hello! Can the soap be made with less fragrance oils and just essential oils? I'm new at soap making, want to keep the cost down until I know what I am doing. If so how do I figure that out? Thanks for inspiring us x

Yes you can absolutely just use essential oils. Google fragrance calculator. I think you'll find what you're looking

I'm guessing Royalty Soaps - her thematic releases sell out almost instantly. I'll be interested to see what you get! If I'm wrong hopefully I'll learn about someone I haven't watched yet.

Thank you so much for give me hope, I love your videos. I know you shared a lot and some people took advantage of that , but if you can say something about the new platform I will appreciate it. I don’t like the one I am using now and hesitate to transfer to Shopify
    Thank you
