I own the Bose and am very happy with it. Simple to use and excellent customer support
Forgot to mention if you have two sonos ones you could use them as rear surround speakers with your sound bar to get the full 5.1 home theater. I love my sonos products
I've been into a store to listen to both - Bose wins - the difference is clear. The Sonos are very mid to high end heavy and had almost no bass - probably good as rear surround speakers but not for wifi sound and they were only good as a pair. The Bose had good bass for a speaker in this size and, the balance of sound was great.
I have a Bose one, and I am a very happy owner.
All goodies fly off the window once you own a speaker. You will use it in a way you can't imagine.
Mine for example, I thought I was going to use it with Wifi with spotify, and I end up using it with bluetooth most of the time.
Can you connect tv or radio to it with cord (when there is no wifi)?
@@ucheokori1916 Yes. It has an AUX input. Normal 3.5mm cable
Wish the Sonos had Blu tooth pairing. Other than that it's a great speaker
I was looking into Bose but the Sonos having a driver and a tweeter and the Bose just having a full range made a huge difference
What..?
@@icelee123 Bose has one full range driver, Sonos has a tweeter and a mid woofer
@@jh3247 go and listen yourself - the Bose sounds a lot better, even with 2 Sonos connected at once. The Bose just sounds better
@@eligoldbaum6988 I have listened in person, that's how I know that it made a huge difference.
@@eligoldbaum6988how it sounds better? It has more bass? And that makes you say it’s better?
Actually Bose has a lot of compression artifacts and lack of high frequencies, also the bass is too boosted on Bose. It literally feels like the speaker is made for pop and rap music to play loudly on a party where no one cares about the quality and everybody just wants loudness and more bass.
Sonos sounds very clear, balanced and has flat response. It’s very close to studio monitor speakers. You can hear every single detail in high res music and all the frequencies sound equally loud.
Two years later I wonder if you can pair two of the Bose 300 as stereo now?
what i like bose they always durable product i never disappointed with bose product
From the sound examples, Sonos focuses on 130hz and up, and Bose focuses on 130hz and down. The kick is clearer on Sonos and the bass (rumble) is clearer on the bose
If only you could pair the Bose as you can with Sonos!
please do provide an opinion about the sound quality, subjectively - you can never hear over youtube, over computer/phone/pad sound - so share which one truly gave the best thrill with the music YOU lik?! thanks
lenny it’s a store so I think he just wants to sell them both #playingthefield
To me, Sonos has better sound, hands down. I bought both! Bose isn't horrible, but it lacks the depth of sound and richness that Sonos has. Still better than my computer or phone speakers, tho! LOL
Sonus all the way. Bose dropped the ball years ago. Mind you I have a pair of Bose 301s. WoW. But there very very old now about 30 years old. They have savage bass too. But Bose is gone too much on shifting units instead of good products. Just my opinion
Is it my imagination or does the Bose sound slightly muffled compared to the Sonos?
Yes, it does. I got both and the Sonos has better, deeper sound. And a better app, like he said. But it doesn't have Bluetooth! (I should have done better research.) So now I can stream... to a devise with worse sound and a worse app.
Zak Ames hi so based on this do you wish you would’ve gotten a different speaker? I thought WiFi streaming was better than Bluetooth since Bluetooth compresses music in a way that decreases it’s dreaming quality
There is never any point in showing what they sound like when we arent hearing it from the actual speaker.
Correct, but you can still determine how bassy and loud they are
I couldn’t make Google assistant work on the Sonos One and have returned it to the store after 4 days of trying and with the help of Sonos customer support. I am now going to try the Bose and hope that’s better at the job. Anyone have any thoughts on Google assistants compatibility with either of these?
Who cares about colors and Alexa when audio quality is what we pay for
Bosé 😍
Love Sonos.. Thanks for the information provided
What about watching movie with wifi connection, is there any delay with the sound and picture ?
Thank you for the nice information.
Is the Bose home speaker 500 worth the extra money over the 300? Can’t decide on which one to get
Hi Tombo, you can reach out to our sales team and they'd be able to help you with the difference on both units. 888-228-5800 Thank you!
yes
The Bose 500 has an extra speaker and different inside to help with increase bass. If you have a bigger room I would go for the 500 over the 300.
Bought the Bose 300 over the 500 and it’s way better than the Sonos
Did you compared they both.
I have Bose at home and I’m looking to buy the Bose 300 hundred but on this video I don’t know if I’m not wrong but te Sonos sounded better.
The Sonos One is better sounding
Looking for a speaker for my elderly parents. They are not tech savy and do not wish to speak to a speaker so the presets on the Bose would do the job fro us.
EVERYONE GO TELL BOSE TO INTERGRATE AN INTERCOM (FROM PHONE TO SPEAKER OR ALEXA TO ANOTHER SPEAKER). IT WOULD BE VERY EFFECTIVE IN HOMES WITH THE MULTIROOM SYSTEM!! WHO WANTS TO YELL TO BE HEARD ACROSS THE HOUSE?
Does the Bose offer Alexa Routines? Sonos hasnt updated that in over a year
yes, the BOSE Home Speaker 300 work with Routines. You can Setup the Routines in the Alexa App.
You didn’t talk about the sound quality
Tanya Saxena he clearly does starting at 2:20 pay attention
Are they portable?
Well, you can unplug them and plug them back in somewhere else! They boot up quickly. But no, no batteries, if that's what you're asking. I specifically wanted that, 'cause I'm not going to move mine much, so batteries would be wasteful and annoying.
Bose portable home speaker and sonos move are they portable
Are they both portable?
No niether
No but, the Move and Home Speaker Portable are however portable which giving you the benefits of a smart speaker with the convenience of a portable bluetooth speaker.
Nope not the both!
Its just a home smart speakers with a good sound thats it, but not a portable and water resistant!
But u need a good portable+Water resistant+durable+bluetooth+wifi+airplay etc. In -BOSE-
Then its just the BOSE HOME PORTABLE SMART SPEAKER!
Sonos all the way!
Bose is better because of the bluetooth and aux . I have sonos , its a pain without bluetooth
@REHNEET Thankfully Sonos has started to implement Bluetooth into their newer models like the Era 100 and Era 300, but at the time this video was made it was not an option available with their speakers.
sonos win
Comparing speakers without talking a word about sound quality..
Lol... Can't believe it right? This channel is on my shitlist.
I think Bluetooth alone is able decide choice #bose
@@glassman3333 I like Bose's sound more. I think 300 is louder than Sonos 1. Have you heard Bose 300?
No stereo pairing is bummer for me too
It's a toss up for me. The bluetooth is definitely nice for when the wifi is out, but not being able to sync multiple bose 300s together is idiotic on their part.
@@Templar0311 yaa I hope Bose solve it with software update
JBL boombox is best Bluetooth speaker in the world
Also consider that the Sonos doesn't have BLUETOOTH. I have always found this ridiculous for 2019 models and Sonos forces you to use the sonos app to play music. Go to any other handheld app/folder that you have music stored in and Sonos app will NOT play these files. People could be more informed about these kinds of things before they decide to make a purchase. No hate, just trying to help.
Sonos seems better
Sonos to hard to setup 😩
You can't compare sound in a record
bose does not support youtube music
Bose has airplay 2
Tmannse So does the Sonos?
@@OliBlakeman sonos can use airplay2
Theses sonus are crap just checkout all the problems people are having with them..
sooo stupid thing
I can only play music from PC. I can’t watch anything from TH-cam or just a movie ???
Any sounds from PC or phone not working!!
I don’t understand who could invent such a useless product ..
Seriously? For both speakers? I thought it can be connected with cord if there is no wifi?
@@ucheokori1916 Sonos one does not have this 3.5 connector
Zero reason to go with the Bose from a technical perspective and likely audio one as well.
