  • took a little while, but its a impressive top speed in my book! oh and I weigh 255. 72mph on the speedometer, 70mph on the GPS app. hit the 8000rpm rev limit. no the road isnt completely flat, that's hard to find around here. the road starts off slightly downhill and for a lot of the run it's actually slightly uphill

    My can-am outlander went higher that 75 mph it is amazing we were racing a rzr 1000 pretty fast

    I was told my XMR is governed to 75. I had it up o 70 on a snow covered lake in fwd. That's good enough for me.

    Just a question, did you slow down on the turn, or did the bike just keep the same speed because it was turning?, I bet if it was a straight you could hit 73 74

      it hit the rev limit at 8000 rpm, it wouldn't go any faster. the speedo said 72, the gps said 70.

      The fastest I’ve gotten mine up to was 62 on a 50 yard loose gravel road,I had it pinned for like 4-5 seconds

      @@ryanschwark2791 im pinned the whole time once I got on the pavement. it wasn't a perfect level road either and I weigh a lot, so for it to hit its 8000rpm limit is pretty good considering

    My 18 outlander 450 runs 62 with my 235lb ass on it . For the size these 4wheelers are quick !

      My 2019 outlander 450 max will run 60 on flat ground with my 250lb ass on it and 65mph downhill for a while before it hits redline and blows the belt once you over rev the motor (I know from experience)

    I don't understand.... a 570 does 70mph, and the 1000 does like 81mph, so what's the point of the 1000 if the 570 is so close?

      Mine is governed to 75.If you were to reprogram the computer, it would go faster. Liability. Can you imagine if you rolled it on blacktop. It is not like a motorcycle where you can slide with it for a while when you go down.

      @@joshuacruzgarza64 I pull out logs for firewood with my XMR 1000. I made a skidder to put the logs on. Most atvs couldn't pull the skidder empty.

    on my 2021 outlander 570xmr i hit 65mph but thats still with the mega mahams on there so its a bit heavier

      you can't go any faster than that on an xmr because they are all limited to that speed

    My bone stock 2019 570 Outlander DPS does exactly the same....My brothers does + 1 MPH? Guessing it's because he uses 0w40 oil?

    I'm sure it helped that you were going downhill.
    I have a 2021 outlander 850 and it tops out at 77 mph

      that road wasnt completely flat and went up and down in several spots. regardless i hit the rev limit and saw the true top speed, nothing was left. no stock quad goes any faster than high 70s that i know of. im talking GPS not speedometer speed. there was a agreement among manufacturers years ago to not make a stock atv go over 75-78, somewhere in that range. either way top speed is meaningless in 99% of riding situations anyway and that is the one and only time i did it with that particular quad

      And the 1000r will 137km/h (85mph).
      So stock bikes will definitely go faster then what you are saying.

      @@nathancarter5477 sorry i dont read replies often, so it may be another 2 years before the next, but the "gentleman's agreement" between atv manufacturers was a thing, maybe it isnt anymore, but thats why i said "was" then too.. if you are going by the speedometer and not GPS then you should. most speedometers are optimistic, as was the one in this video (speedo 72 vs GPS saying 70) all it amounts to is bragging rights anyway which i could care less about.

    I have same bike just no DPS and once it was broken in (1000km or so) it rips hard. Runs into the speed limiter at 70mph indicated even going uphill. Tons of midrange power too as you see in your video. Put Elka front shocks on it - stockers are garbage.

      Lol - live on an old rail bed trail. Pretty common to put to 400km on in a weekend. Ontario is awesome!

    i wouldnt buy any model lower then this. anything less has too many compromises IMO, but the 570 dps is the perfect bike before you start spending crazy amounts of cash.

      I have a 650 Max XT. Love the power, I was thinking of going for the 850 but had read reviews that it runs hotter, uses more fuel and the 650 had power enough for most. I don't need the extra HP..Very happy with mine!

      @@Chris-kw6fs gota be happy with what you got man or youll never be happy, there is a tune you can get to make these engines run colder and more efficient. I haven’t dove into any of that yet myself

      @@danielzavala4528 its very noticeably easier to steer, especially when moving slow or not at all. before 2020 the DPS models had nicer wheels, now all models have same cheapie wheels.. a cost saving measure

      @@davisfamilyshenanigans4807 , I love it ...No kidding you can do it all with this machine ... I am seriouly impress, for sure too best machine for the buck out there... the HP kills the Competition , I have had mine now up to 63 mph and I am at around 4000 feet Elevation and about 220lbs ... I put on some LED lights on it , and some nice Aluminum Wheels.. All else is Stock.. pretty soon going to need new tires .... but overall I am impressed and love it ... No issues .. You will be surprised it will keep up with most ATV's no matter the size of there engines... One big reason is weight savings... that brings me to another point , is I am going to change out battery to Lithium, that be about 9lbs savings ... I have done that with my Snowmobiles as well. I think you will be impressed and surprised at its Capabilities .. Have fun, and let me know how it goes! I should have been clear , mine is a 450 DPS.

      Do you even know what that does? It allows you to bypass reverse speed limiter so you can reverse faster.

      I was told there was 2 keys with some can ams. A grey one and a black one , one of for performance and one puts certain limits on speed and other things . You can google it .

      i only had the machine 4 months by this point and it had very little use on it and was bought brand new... why you think the tires are "bald" im not sure, but IF you think it has anything to do with how fast it goes you're silly, really silly.... oh, and stop assuming! bad trait ;)
