"your governor is dead, your men are rebelling, you can't hold for long." that line was delivered shortly before i accidentally activated the cannon and destroyed my whole army in the gorge :(
+raglanheuser ...How the hell It like you were trying to get them killed OR you are just thinking ahead of the game and made the sacrifices needed to awaken that deamon within the gun itself
antitroller101 no. i got confused about the orientation of the cannon. when i initially triggered it i just sent one unit into the gorge but i wasn't watching so i didn't realize the cannon shoots in a straight line across the map. so then when i got control of the cannon i had no idea it shoots like that, i thought it was something you could aim. so i clicked the fire button thinking it would be something where i click on an area to fire on, and my army was in the gorge advancing on the main base at that moment.
0:44 - 0:58 Best line ever. Eliphas: The False Emperor has failed you again, Governor. Perhaps it's time to embrace a new deity? Alexander: Never! The Emperor protects! Eliphas: Oh, we'll soon see how well he protects you.
"Our fates are all written in the warp, and yours is death." This isn't a lie, Alexander canonically dies in the cutscene at the start of Soulstorm even though he survived Dark Crusade
I really like this take on the Chaos Space Marines. This leader is so delightful diabolical and saccarine, you can see him talk a world into following his will. (Unlike Abbadon the Failure, who relies on brute force and can't even go past Cadia)
Ohohohohoho... you're gonna be surprised about Abbadon and Cadia. Unless you didn't hear, let's just say the Imperial Guard is not having a good time there...
Eliphias was so much better in Dark Crusade. It's a shame that in Dawn of War II Eliphias is no longer the suave Chaos Lord that knows how to piss the other commanders off. Yeah sure no one bar the Daemon Primarchs have more authority than Abaddon and naturally Eliphias would have little choice but to listen to him but really they could've at least let Eliphias continue to mock other commanders :)
lol Eliphas is so funny. "What a rousing little speech" and "perhaps its time to embrace a new deity" lol! Every time he talks to alexander he always calls him governor with emphasism
well whatever side you choose you get screwed, Imperium: one wrong moved you have a inquisitor burning you alive, or you get forced into a military where you'll more likely get killed by your own side than by the enemy. We have already contained and destroyed several tyranid splinter fleets that have encroached upon Tau space. When the Tyranids try to invade Sept worlds, their drop-craft, which are so important in their attack strategies, are vaporized by our satellite fortresses. As a race who loves firepower, we pride ourselves in our planetary and orbital defenses.
Distance, numbers and heavy cover is good tactics, which beats stupid heroics and death. Space Marines are excused because of their superior brute strength, but the Tau have a distance advantage which they can use before the enemy close in. And then there's their close-combat specialists in case anyone does get past the shitstorm of pulse fire.
Even they get the short stick in the Imperium the Imperial Guard are some pretty tough ombres. This is my personal opinion but I think the main reason they need Commisars to function is because they get treated like shit. But when well lead, well treated, or well threatened these ordinary men can withstand Daemons of the Warp.... And thats why I have such admiration for them.
Challenging us at gunpoint is foolish, gue'la. You know that. Our guns defeat yours in every aspect. We'll see how well your "Emperor's Grace" protects you from a pulse rifle!
Does opportunist sound better? They specialize in attacking unprotected or weakly protected targets and disappearing before an enemy can mount a response.
Actually the Emperor got into a fight with Horus and refused to use his full power on his own son and it was only at the breaking point when the Emperor witnessed Horus slaughtering one of his own subjects did he release his full wrath on horus but he was heavilly wounded because he held back too much and he was put in the golden throne device. He is alive but no longer able to fight.
Let's not forget the idiot Princeps who thought he could take on an Imperator without proper support. That little act of arrogance put a dent on the Imperial side of the Titan conflict,
Space Marines are opportunistic. Yes. Because you may have 100 Space Marines against a million or so Orks. They'd be fucking idiots to engage the Orks in conventional battle. So um, yeah the Space Marines do the strategic strike thing. Because they can't wash over their enemies like the Imperial Guard do. And I love the Imperial Guard. LAWLZ!! No, I really do. Their the true heroes of the Imperium as they're unmodified physically but face against some of the worst shit in the Galaxy.
I must admit, the IG can actually be quite tough and resourceful. However, they waste their time and energy fighting for the false emperor when they could be fighting for better beings such as the Chaos Gods! They and NOT the false emperor are humanity's only hope! Glory to Chaos Undivided!
Sure, but I'm not sure who isn't. I was calling the Dark Eldar opportunistic, btw. And the Guard commanders themselves, afaik, aren't averse to fighting smart - iirc their manuals read a bit like Sun Tzu. They just don't mind using a resource they have in abundance - manpower. yeah why did they change the voice actor? Dobson could have done both him and gabriel if he wanted to.
Dr. Ivo Robotnik
Similarity? To get rid of theories that Eliphas somehow possessed Angelos at some point? Who knows how they work?
Dr. Ivo Robotnik chaos fans getting upset at change. I ro nyyyy
I just do not understand why they decided to change him, I hear that it relates to him being flung intot he warp by abadon or something
The characters of Paul Dobson own this franchise.
Gabriel, Sindri, (Dark Crusade) Eliphas.
He didn’t voice Sindri. That was Scott McNeil.
