We have no way of knowing which one is the correct suspect. The DNA evidence is insufficient. The shawl's acquisition is highly questionable. Supposedly taken by an officer to bring home to his wife because of the nice silk fabric. So he supposedly brought it home to her with blood and feces all over it and she never cleaned it. Doesn't make sense.

Yep they knew. It’s in a police report back then where they say the suspect is now in the insane asylum. One police from the case later named kominsky as JTR in his book. They didn’t make it public back then because of hate crimes against Jews were happening.

Didn't witnesses who saw Jack the Ripper say he was between 28 and 35?, not 23. I know you can't tell for sure and there is often a margin of error of 3 or 4 years either side but a maximum of 12 years off? That's a huge margin of error.
In those days, people can look older than they really were, especially if they lived a strenuous and stressful life struggling for survival everyday. Most men also had facial hair which can make them look older too.

He was SO suspicious of him that he watched them closely--they were laughing together. It's of a high probability that that man was the Ripper and he definitely spoke English.

Sir Henry Smith accused the Kosminski haters (Macnaughton and Anderson) of basically being anti-semites. I think the cops were just confused. There are FOUR Polish Jews we are talking about: Kosminski, Severin Koslowski (aka George Chapman) , David Cohen, and Nathan Kamsky--ALL lived in or near Whitechapel, ALL were 23 yrs old, all Polish Jews ALSO Aaron Kosminski used to mumble incoherently and spent a lot of time eating crumbs of bread from the GUTTER. I want to see the provenance of this "shawl". Incidently when Eddowes' list of possessions on her was released in 1984 NO SHAWL was mentioned.
This is a bunch of bunk pure and simple. No man with limited English (as had Kosminski) could have been the Ripper because there are earwitnesses to whomever the man was -AND none of them mentioned an accent. George Hutchinson (who saw the ripper go off with Mary Kelly) said the man said "You will be all right for what I have told you". How could a foreigner with limited English say a complicated sentence like that? Also, Kosminski is being described in the media as a "barber surgeon" but Martin Fido's book on Kosminski/David Cohen describes Kosminski as a "hairdresser"--not a barber surgeon.

@@amaiurjarauta969Highly unlikely--Mary Kelly was killed at 4 AM. Hutchinson told Abberline he saw the man approach Kelly around 2 AM. He was SO suspicious of him that he watched them closely--they were laughing together. They entered Miller's Court and Hutchinson (who was fond of Kelly) waited outside for 45 minutes to see if the man came out (he didn't). It's of a high probability that that man was the Ripper and he definitely spoke English.

DNA tested from under the stamp from the "Dear Boss" letter was tested....it was from a woman! They think it may have been the killers wife or something though, but could be the woman was a killer. There actually was one woman suspect at the time of the murders named Mary Pearcey
