I am writing this on the day In October 2023, that speaker Johnson was selected. Politically, I completely disagree with speaker Johnson. But, he is indeed a very eloquent man with a good sense of humor. I hope that he will keep to his word and work on both sides of the aisle for the good of the American people.

One reason was because it was Trump who ran up an 8 Trillion dollar debt that we are suffering the consequences for now. That was hardly "controlled spending". Republicans didn't try and stop him, but now they are "fiscally responsible". It's all "smoke and mirrors" with them. If Trump had done all the things he promised, about the border, we wouldn't have problems today, but he didn't.

In a nation that used to hold the notion of the separation of church and state to be so critical, why do so many politicians continue to link governance to God? I think we all understand what the founding fathers did...all those decades ago, when America was essentially a puritanical country that had just rightfully gained its independence; however, if the country hasn't moved on since those times, then, it really ought to.
Speaker Johnson gave an impressive speech, notwithstanding a couple of clangers; and, while it's critical that the American people remain hopeful, judgment might best be left reserved, given his staunchly right-wing, evangelical values, attitudes and beliefs.
Let's hope this fellow does the job he professed he intended to do.
A Bible loving Evangelical Christian is exactly what we need in apocalyptic times. I am sure he will use his power to ensure events unfold with prophetic accuracy. May the rapture find us all!

So we have these men and women that say they know God. But they only worship him with their mouth but their heart is far from him. So this man believed that our elections was not fair and think the only true God does not care about the sins of a rapist, molester, liar and has made himself a little god to some that God cares only about those that are gay and those that are for abortions. The only person God said will not tarry in his sight are those that tell lies. Not the gay person, not those that had an abortion but the liars will not tarry in his sight. We know to God all sins are sins but here we have him saying those liars will not tarry in his sight. To all those that sworn with their hands on the bible and took an oath before God, the angels and men if you do not honor that oath it would had been better for you not to have sworn at all. All those that do not want to send aide to Ukraine because of their leader Trump and Putin hate for that country and are not upset with the babies and women being slaughter that are not in the military the bibles says: Proverbs 6:17 the bibles says these things does the LORD hate, a lying tongue and hands that shed innocents blood. Psalm 37:1 says....Fret not thyself because of evildoers neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity. Proverbs 17:4 says... An evildoer listens to wicked lips, and a liar gives ear to a mischievous tongue. God is in control and his name is not Trump.
