You just need a public IPv4 and/or some TCP/UDP Ports must be open in your Router Settings. There are Tutorials in the Internet. And of course a good LTE or 5G coverage and if possible unlimited data because Game Streaming in higher resolutions consums a lot of data. But even years ago you were able to use remote play on cellular if you know and understand IT networking and how providers route data and use NAT (for example Carrier Grade NAT) and if you modified the remote play App or used a third party remote play App like Chiaki. I am lucky that I have unlimited data plan for a couple of years now and I’m using Remote play through cellular for a couple of years now Too. I‘m Always traveling via trains and Bus and playing ps4 and now ps5 games on the go is Really awesome. *Disclaimer: English is not my native language.

I'm game sharing with my housemate and when I use the app it uses my account, so I didn't have to switch mine to main. But, I can't use the games I downloaded from his account as expected, however, when I turn on my ps4, it's all set up as it should

I just need a strong wifi connection where ever my iPad is and then I can connect via the app after two or three attempts (yes while being at a different location than where my ps4 is at). You actually might NOT want to enable "Connect Directly with PS Vita/PS TV" if you're using a Vita to connect to your PS4 instead of an iPad. The option causes your PS4>Vita connection to only work (well) if you're in the same room. If you disable it, your Vita will use the same technique as on your iPad: it will go through wifi providing you with a much more stable connection. If you don't own a Vita it basically doesn't matter if you enable it or not.
Definitely feel Xbox has an advantage with xCloud when it come to playing console anywhere, Its as simple as downloading an app (Android only for the moment)

I figured out how to turn the controller off. Just exit the app when you’re done, press and hold the share button and ps button for a few seconds. Let go and the controller should turn off. At least that’s how I figured it out.

Josh DeLeon in settings there is a 1080p 60fps option. For me it was set to 720p 30fps by itself and I haven’t had any lag spikes and input delay is expected

Man IOS may not have the gpu strength to achieve special effects but in 7 years it managed to play a lot of ps4 games besides, the core graphics are there on phones so in my eyes, it’s as playable as any console game, and with each newer iOS device, comes with it easier to play that demanding game for longer lengths of time! also you need to have unlimited mobile data plan as a hotspot for best, because it will take up a lot of data streaming from PS4 to the remote play device, something like 1gb of around 30min gameplay if i'm not wrong...
Tip: You need to have 2 controllers and one for turning the ps4 on and the other one for playing in mobile. Edit: you need the controller charger the one with the cord to your used bluetooth so you can use your 2 controllers.
think you gotta log in with your psn on the app edit: you need to log in with your psn in the remote play, then you need to connect it to the ps4 once and then the ps4 should be registered

I’ve been using remote play for over 3 years and it’s awesome but yes you have to be connected to the same WiFi and In order for me to use my controller I have to hold ps button and share button until it blinks non stop and I have to go to my iPad settings and pair it as Bluetooth. There's actually an app for android called PSPLAY it allows you to play on mobile data and it doesn't lag one bit it actually runs buttery smooth

Yes, I tried it out. Bought a lightning to HDMI/Ethernet/USB Hub for my iPad and iPhone. The latency is a lot lower.

@@gyozobalogh9970 Yes it works. I do this on my PC when my Daughter wants to watch tv. I remote play PS4 on computer and baby can watch videos on TV, no issues. The whole idea is that remotely, your ipad/PC screen is acting as a screen for PS4 while it is running connected to internet.
I’ve been using remote play for over 3 years and it’s awesome but yes you have to be connected to the same WiFi and In order for me to use my controller I have to hold ps button and share button until it blinks non stop and I have to go to my iPad settings and pair it as Bluetooth. And works perfectly!

Put the PS4 in sleepmode and activate internet connection while in it. Now you can turn it on and off as you demand and from everywhere.
