    I think this video is the perfect argument for getting a magnetic fender. Easier to take off so you can clean the sticks and mud out easier.

      Awesome man you will be blown away by the control. I can float so much faster too! Maybe it’s the confidence I get with my feet being glued to the board now but the concave from the kush hi... damn dude that’s all I can say

    Scott, is this the Burris SS-33A Model (Slick Tire)? That's the model I've been riding the past week and loving it. Carves so nicely compared to the Vega Slick (stock tire).

    Limber ankles are very important for sure. And I believe that trail riding is what the XR was ment for. Super exhilarating to ride in the Bush. Wanting to get the Burris trail pro tire. I'm losing air daily on my Vega now. But they are sold out everywhere on backorder. Hope they get some soon. My board is my car because I dont drive. It would be my best friend if I didnt have my lovely fiance's and wonderful daughter taking that slot. Lol. Great video brother. Keep the float'n a float my man. 😜

    I did my first trail ride today with my XR and it was amazing!! But actually I was very scared of roots or big crevices and I tend to slow down and unfortunately it's worse. However I have the impression that the XR is having difficulty with my weight, I may be too heavy for the board to work more effectively in trail... I weigh 240 pounds. Thanks for the video.

    • @ScotMendenhall
      @ScotMendenhall  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think your weight is just fine for the XR. Joey who rides a pint is over 200lbs and it he does ok. Just give it some time and you'll get it done.

  • @Kevin-Schmevin
    @Kevin-Schmevin 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I don't recommend Delirium for trails, bumps can knock you off balance and you don't want the board to rush forward and send you off the cliff.

    This trail looks so muddy 😆 I'm always afraid of falling when I ride I muddy trails. Scot just bought some vans to onewheel because of you 👍I was rocking some Adidas white sambas before, let's see how the vans work out!

    • @spr8838
      @spr8838 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      So far I'm liking them a lot! I also have a pair of classic black sambas that I don't like riding with. They give you foot fatigue very quickly I think because of the high arches

    This is great! When you bend your knees and get low, that is (at least in snowboarding) called an "aggressive stance". Be careful though, I love the control and smoothness it provides no matter what kind of terrain I am riding on, it can be addicting. I feel so strange standing up tall, I am in the aggressive stance almost 100% of the time. If you do this all the other stuff you talk about, carving, getting over roots, etc comes so much easier. I am planning a snowboard and OW video about Aggressive Stance soon.

    I am totally fearful of gravel trails! I would like to overcome this as there many trails by my home with gravel trails, does the XR ride with more control because of the wider tire?
