I gotta be honest, when I played this game I legtimately thought it was impossible to climb the big tree in Sonic 3, lmao. Swear I tried everything. Not sure if I'm happy to be proved wrong tbh.
Yeah. You have to not press a direction on the D Pad to get it to work. It's so frustrating.

Man, and I thought Sonic '06 and Rise of Lyric were eyesores. This has them all beat, at least the others were IN COLOR!!!!!
Yeah. Those games are pretty bad, when compared to other games released at that time. This is just objectively awful.

It's So Bad, It's Even Listed In The "So Bad, It's Horrible" Section Of TV Tropes.
I wont lie, though it isn't that playable, as someone who works with computers with major restrictions, i can appreciate how impressive this actually is on a system like that.
This gives me a greater appreciation of the bad Game Gear Sonic games

Currently rewatching through all of these challenge videos and this is my first time watching this one, it’s ironic that the most appealing looking classic Sonic game (Mania) is the one that keeps getting pushed back while we get all of these “beautiful” versions of the classics. Hope Mania and the remakes to some of the previous Badnik videos get made but we’ll see. This was a fun one though!

Just watching the frame rate in this game is hell. I can't imagine paying full price for a legitimate copy and playing that. If you played this game, let alone bought it, I'm so sorry.
Imagine editing a video where you need to zoom in and it moves every 8-10 frames. Keyframing was annoying.
Someone ranked sonic games from worst to best, & 1 of the rules was no fangames, but the worst 1 was this 1 which as far as i know is a bootleg so not officially so technically it's a fangame (the only mistake) XD (again this is just as far as i know)

To be Honest, Sharp SM8521: 5Mhz CPU Still A CRAP, And To be Honest, The Gameboy's Sharp LR35902 Is much Better, Or Should i say.. MORE SUPERIOR!
This is without question the worst Sonic game. Sonic Genesis, at least that one seems like it's semi-playable, kinda? And most of the music isn't that awful. And the special stages have a point. Sonic Jam Gamecom has almost nothing, even clearing a special stage has zero effect.
Even this game has at least one interesting thing, though. It uses Sonic's unused whistling and sleeping animations from Sonic 3, and Knuckles' old laughing sprites.
This game also has some skidding sprites of Knuckles in his 1103 prototype design.
Even prerelease media of this port was interesting since it would have been much better graphically and have more content, and there's even some pretty early Sonic 3 Beta elements that predate 1103. This basically the game's only redeeming quality. And it’s not even the final product it’s self.

Yeah, Sonic The Hedgehog (Djdj), Sonic X (Leapster), Drift 2, Drift, Blast, '06, Schoolhouse, Labyrinth, Rise Of Lyric, Free Riders And Genesis Were All Pretty Bad, But Sonic Jam On The Game Com, To Describe It Lightly, Is Just Terrible, It Makes All The Aforementioned Games Look Like, Say, Super Smash Bros. Brawl And/Or Kirby's Return To Dream Land.

Just by looking at the game, Sonic Jam on game com has to be the King of awful Sonic games. Not even 06, Rise of Lyric, or even Sonic 1 on the GBA can reach that low level of trash.
