Good Resurrection Sunday everyone who celebrates.✝️ I understand that the bands and guards marched farther up at Windsor for an Easter commemoration. I enjoyed the, “Red Shield,” march especially. Band was six across. Thanks, Mike😊
Thanks Charlotte. Yes, there seemed to be more people overflowing onto the road than usual. Don't quote me, but I think they are due to do the longer march route every day of this coming week. Unfortunately I haven't - yet - seen any of your favourite spectators in my video.
I’m glad the weather was significantly better for you than on your last trip! Nice to see a bit of blue sky. So, red tunics from here on? I rather like the grey coats too though, both very smart. Some lovely marches today, I enjoyed The red Shield, some lovely strident sections in it. The sound was pretty epic! Thank you for getting out there to film for the armchair viewers again, much appreciated👍
Thanks very much AnnofWales, and I'm glad you enjoyed it! Yes, the better weather certainly makes for an easier, more enjoyable and less stressful trip. Please don't quote me on when exactly they restart with the red tunics - I'm only going on generalities, and there seem to be exceptions to every rule! In a way, I rather like the grey coats as well - they seem more businesslike. But of course the red tunics make for a more colourful video.
@vickyRoyalHistory , Hi Ann and Vicky. Regarding the summer and winter attire, it's a good thing I caveated my earlier comment. I'm seeing references to the change having been delayed (maybe starting with the Buckingham Palace guard-change yesterday?) because the weather's been so bad. We'll just have to see...
@vickyRoyalHistory hi Vicky and Mike, yep looks like the Winter woollies are still needed for the time being! You did mention that may be the case Mike, even though unusual for the delay. Mind you we do have snow on the hills at the moment! I suppose playing a metal instrument in the cold is even more of a challenge if you’re not wrapped up warmly! Having said that there were blue skies and some people in short sleeves in the streets ( hardy souls or unwise🤔) But Spring is definitely in the air😎
I also enjoyed the Red Shield played so robustly. The bass troms were awesome.
Yes Geoff, agreed!

Awesome video Mike. Sorry I didn’t get round to seeing this!
Thanks very much AFV! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
