      @youtubemodsaresnowflakelef7692 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, he really shouldn't.
      For one you would be unable to, without involving a Thai partner (and that involves a LOT of trust, and particularly in the fight/gym game this can go south VERY quickly in Thailand), who also must have a controlling interest (51+ %).
      And two there are already PLENTY of top tier gyms in Thailand that not only cater to Muay Thai fighters (both serious ones, and flabby tourists like Jack Osbourne, who pay some money to train a bit and then get to smack around a tuk tuk driver who will take a dive, so they can claim they're 1-0 or whatever as a professional fighter), but also to the many MMA people that come to Thailand to improve their mostly extremely sloppy Muay Thai (there's exceptions, just speaking in general).
      I do agree, though, that he's doing fairly well for your average MMA fighter, but that's probably due to having a more extensive striking background.
      As for Jeff himself/his friend nick:
      I'd suggest staying away from Fairtex. Fairtex used to be a GREAT gym, back in the early/mid 00s. Particularly the Bang Plee one, if you cared more about training than having a training/holiday combo and going exploring (only so much you can go see in Bangkok and surrounding area), even to stay at the gym.
      Now it's still a good gym, but there's FAR better. Starting from the late 00s/early 10s it became more and more commercial in the touristy sense, instead of focusing exclusively on the more serious customers. Like you always had that aspect, but at least they held themselves to standards that you actually had to stay a minimum of ~3 months and train there, before they'd even let you fight under the Fairtex gym name. IDK what the official policy is nowadays, but what I DO know is that they're are ways to get around a strict interpretation & that even certain other things aren't off the table...
      Like ALL the major big name gyms in Thailand cater to fitness/"I just wanna try while on holiday" type of people to train to some degree, but the pro/competitive classes are just a whole different level in other gyms.
      I've been doing Muay Thai since the late 90s (I started when I was 13) and I've been to Thailand many, many times. In some cases you're even better off in some of the back alley gyms and what not, that normally ONLY cater to Thais (but who might take you, if you show that you're serious about this shit), than going to Fairtex. For serious pros you're better off with Tiger, Yokkao, Sidyodtong, Venum, Diamond, etc.
      IMO all of them are better than Fairtex. But each their own.

    4:46 fake teep > questionmark high kick

    This is the kind of sparring sessions I always aimed for. Hard enough to know youve been hit with a lot of variation and knowing when you got hit with something clean. Id always try to draw sparring partners into these kinda technical sessions where the pace keeps you guessing. It seems slow but the rhythm jumps outta nowhere so you have to stay sharp the whole round.

    My sechedule is very busy , most of gym around me doing group session very late night , so currentley i don't have any option but keep training in my dojo who doing early session that fit my sechdule.
    BUT , only things my trainer do is holding pillows and doing low kick and others silly things , never correct error , only novice in the class , never teach even the basic. He was one of the most greates kickboxer in his era in our country.
    Now only thing i do is to purchase online course like bazooka jow training , im teaching online and come to the gyms with one purpose - apply this techniques at sparring which most of them working.
