Is the specialization too focused on a single thing, if I take data science for example then will my job be limited to data scientist or analyst. Also, what about the placements, are the specialization students treated the same as core?
What specialization is it? If it's among the newer ones, then CCE is a better choice. CSE with AI ML is probably the only one I'd put higher than a normal CS branch. Otherwise, all the specialization ones go below it.
All your courses will be targeted in the specification. Yes, students are treated all the same. It's the companies that might sometimes have additional criteria but that's very rare.
Hello, I got alloted CCE at mit manipal with a rank of 3.5k. I can get IT as well, so which is better placement wise CCE or IT and how different are their placements and curriculum from CSE?
There's not a lot of difference. They're both under the same department, have almost the same curriculum barring a few subjects. It isn't different from CSE either, a couple of different subjects. Placement wise there isn't a lot of difference either. I personally picked IT because it had a higher cutoff and I was eligible for it. Otherwise, pick either.
There are a lot of companies that visit for on-campus recruitments, starting from third year itself where they give you an internship+placement offer, both for software and core companies.
